Strong Epoxy That Really Gets the Job Done This is one of those products that every DIYer or homeowner should probably keep around. I’ve used a lot of adhesives and repair products over the years, and this epoxy feels genuinely heavy duty. Once mixed, it forms a thick paste that stays where you put it instead of dripping everywhere, which makes it especially useful for vertical surfaces, cracks, chipped areas, masonry, tile, or odd repairs around the house. What I like most is the working time. You’re not rushed like with fast-setting epoxies, so you actually have time to shape it, position things properly, and make adjustments before it hardens. Once cured, it feels extremely solid and durable. I also appreciate that it can be sanded and painted afterward for a cleaner finished look. I found it especially useful as a filler as well as an adhesive. The thick consistency makes it good for rebuilding missing material or filling voids rather than just gluing two surfaces together. A few things to keep in mind: this is definitely not a quick-fix epoxy. Cure time is on the slower side, so patience is required. It’s also thick and a little messy to mix, so gloves and a mixing surface are a good idea. Surface prep matters—a clean, roughened surface gives the best results. Bottom Line: If you want a strong, versatile epoxy for serious repairs and don’t mind waiting for a full cure, this is excellent stuff. Not the fastest product, but very strong and dependable once it sets.

I love this stuff. Works great to petrify rotting boards on my porch, and then fill the gaps. Instructions provided are good.

***Updated 12/05/2016***** Looks like the repair on the gas tank didn't last more than a 1-1/2 months. Went out and checked the gas tank on the car yesterday and while the fuel hasn't broken through and started leaking yet. There is an obvious bubble where the gas has escaped the tank and is now sitting between the product patch and the steel. You can push up on it and hear the gas/air going back into the tank. The product isn't wet to the touch yet and there's no gas smell, so it's resisting the gas but in time I imagine it will fail. As noted before, I tried every other product out there for patching gas tanks over the years and had high hopes that this would be my savior. Hopefully the patch will hold till the spring and I will just drop the tank and braze or weld the holes and be done with it. Using the proper safety procedures of course. *** End Update**** I used this product to repair a gas tank that was "weeping" fuel. PC-7 not only fixed that issue but the small 1/8" hole I made with the grinding wheel in the tank knocking down previously applied products. I had previously tried almost all of the products meant to fix leaking gas tanks and they all failed. Either immediately or shortly thereafter. Because it takes 24 hr's to cure @ 73 degrees F and longer when the temperature is below that, I wouldn't recommend this product if your stuck somewhere and need to get the car back on the road in a few hours. But your best chance at a successful and long lasting repair means you'll need to invest some time. The product is easy to mix and has a fudge factor of about 20% so if you add a little too much of one part you should still be alright. As with any repair of this type, the sheet metal has to be dry, free of dirt, oil, grease, and most importantly gasoline. If you use soap or glycerine to stop the leak you'll end up with a poor bond between the metal and the product. Best to drain the fuel from the tank and open the fuel cap to relieve the pressure in the tank Clean, abrade, and clean again. Make sure you see no fuel coming out of the area your trying to repair. I recommend picking up some denatured alcohol from a local big box store. Not only can you use it as the final cleaning step but it helps when applying the product as you can put some on a "gloved" finger and smooth out the product. Or use a acid brush for the same thing. You can also apply heat to the product to make it a little more malleable. Caution use the lowest setting on your heat gun or hair dryer and keep the heat at a minimum. Heat at a temperature of over 100 Degrees F will cause the material to turn into a pile of goop. Also be careful using heat anywhere near a gas tank. Lastly when you've applied the product you'll need to give it time to fully cure before adding gas to the tank. If the product isn't fully cured it will not resist the gasoline and the leak will re-occur. At that point you'll have to start all over again. Being the fall, I waited almost a week which wasn't a problem since the car isn't my daily driver. All in all, the product did what I needed it for albeit it takes longer than similar products on the market. Time will tell if the repair lasts.

Very easy to mix and use seems more durable and rating of Strength has increased from previous purchased products. Good brand sometimes not as much strength as desired but overall better quality than other similar products on the msrket - waterproof when cured too!

This stuff is awesome. I’ve been using it for years. VERY strong. Does not sag. Can use vertically or overhead. You can sand, drip, paint, and more. Just make certain everything is clean and ruffed up a bit. Not a one hour epoxy, but worth the wait. My most recent application was in between skip welds on a irewall recess for HEI distributor

Thought I'd give PC Products a try and incorporate what I thought would create a putty mud consistency epoxy product for my recent project needs. It's been used to repair the torn out screw housing on a daybed frame and to fabricate a box fan stand out of the folding wheeled legs for an old BBQ grill that was on its way to a landfill, the buckled adjustable webbed belt from a tool pouch used for securing the fan tightly to the stand, and some miscellaneous bits of wire and metal for armature and support. Since I couldn't find such a thing as a box fan stand for sale anywhere I'm particularly chuffed to have accomplished this feat. I trust this epoxy to do a great job and am pleased with the results so far. Was pleased to discover that the adhesive in Rust-Oleum paper tape doesn't stick to the epoxy making it a great way to control the sag and smooth the finish of the epoxy and protect it while it's curing. There's a separate review of the tape in my profile for those interested. With the daybed repair I discovered that a prepackaged hand wipe could be used to carefully dab at the epoxy once applied to smooth the finish and should be done while still in the product "working time" window. Because of the care I took in preparation of workspace and project surfaces and use of additional support items such as the paper tape and wipes, I had no problems with leakages, thickness, or discoloration. This particular epoxy was chosen for its color, strength, and viscosity as a mud or paste. Best advice for those shopping for epoxy, think about what the project is and what sort of viscosity would best suit the job. A putty tends to be more the consistency of modeling clay, this PC-7 product was more the consistency of mud or paste, and there's others that are more like a soup or gravy. Prepare a workspace and protect surfaces and floors to prevent making a mess. If not sure how much to mix, compare the area to a spoon and visually divide that up to dip from the two jars using separate dipping tools. Be prepared with sturdy mixing tools, I used sturdy plastic knives and chopsticks and was very careful to keep the ones used with the jars WITH their jars and keep the ones used for mixing and application separate. Molded plastic cups, such those used for product packaging, or other containers can be used to mixed the product in and tossed afterwards. Wear rubber gloves and such to protect. Glossy paper plates, bowls, or saucers can be great for places to mix or rest used tools. Don't use dishes from the kitchen, but if you do that anyway it's not advisable to attempt to use those for food or beverage ever again, and I discourage using for pets or plants (pets or children could eat those). Pay close attention to safety and use recommendations, and the ratio mix 1:1, if mixed in an uneven ratio or not mixed thoroughly it might not cure properly. Also, I used a regular hand wipe such as those prepackaged sorts, folding and dabbing carefully to further smooth the epoxy finish (did this immediately after applying it to my project while still within the recommended time to work the product after mixing time window) but please note this is a technique that requires a light touch.

Produit arrivé dans ma boîte aux lettres dans une boîte complètement ouverte. Je ne m'imaginais pas non plus qu'il y ait aussi peu de produit ; les boîtes sont minuscules. Il y en a à peine plus que dans un gros tube de colle. Bien fait pour moi j'aurais du regarder plus attentivement la contenance. Pour du modelisme ça va... pour un bateau c'est autre chose.

As someone new to using epoxy filler I was a little anxious approaching this job, however I mixed the two parts with a plastering trowel in an old ice cream container with a bit of effort but easier than anticipated. Found the sticky consistency a little tricky as it tended to stay stuck to the trowel and pull away from the pipe until I learned the best tactic was using small amounts smeared firmly onto the cracked pipe I was mending. Has set very hard and needs some sharp bits smoothed off. Overall pleased with product.
