Beginner's Guide to Linocut

I just finished reading the book! It is fantastic! I am new to the world of linocut, but after reading this well illustrated book, i seal confident enough to get started. The directions are very clear and thorough. They do not leave me with unanswered-questions. The author provides designs so that you can start right away and not feel intimidated because you are not an artist. These designs are simple, varied, very attractive and the offer makes many suggestions to stimulate your imagination by making some changes to them and use them in different ways. They can be used for projects of all sorts as well as gifts. This is a very motivating book which leaves me very excited to try!

The book provides clear, and uncomplicated instructions on the linocut and printing process The author also provides good advice on tools and supplies as well that a person starting out will appreciate. All around a great book that is interesting to read and follow along with. I've read other linocut/block printing books that are much harder to follow.

Quite basic and not very unique information. I have never studied printmaking but I have learned a lot just by watching other artists on the internet. This book didn’t really expand upon that and so the problem is really just my expectations of what this guide was going to teach me- totally my fault! I just wanted an intro guide that went into a little bit more depth. But I’m happy to support this author and still glad to have purchased this book.

Excellent book! Easy to follow instructions.

I am a visual artist enjoying many paint mediums and mixed media. I often paint with small pieces of handmade paper cut into small pieces to create a new painting. linocut is completly new to me and I am excited to add this to my present work. This book was AMAZING and written concisely. I am no longer afraid to "dig in" and create new art. TY Susan! Great job.

Good tutorial fast service

This product gives you the knowledge you need to cut an ink the linoleum I find that it has fun little projects you can get started right away and I have all the tools at home from leather and wood shop you should get this book as a starting point to learning to ink

If you are learning Lino printmaking this is a good book to start.

Lo he devuelto porque es muy elemental, demasiado simple. Puede valer para un principiante absoluto pero si se quiere avanzar en la técnica del linograbado este libro no permite llegar muy lejos.

I bought 2 Lino print books for myself, this one is by far the best for beginners. It gives clear instruction and 10 projects to begin with, which is great for someone like me who has little imagination or skill at drawing. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a list of exact Lino tools eg Pfeil L11/0.5 etc for when one wants to upgrade from essdee/speedball starter kits.
