Can sound be decreased on door alarm

Your question doesn't make sense as there is no alarm on this (totally mechanical) device. It is a very effective piece if kit, however.

My door has a 3 inch step below it. Will this still work?

Yes ,as long as its not directly under the door

To seller pas24 certificate is a minimum door build standard. in what way is the device earning pas24 certificate for security pls?

This is brilliant very secure much better and police said was perfect I bought it after. Break in

Will this hold a door closed on the other side of the door. I.e. our door opens outwards.

Not really, in my opinion. It's designed for inward opening doors.
