Trigger switch replacement.
I have a commercial black and decker miter box. No parts are being made for it. Dewalt made this switch fix kit. Works well...a little pricey, but I love this saw, so I bought it. Fit was perfect. Now I have a yellow Dewalt trigger on my black/gray saw from black and decker. It was not hard to put on.

This kit has everything to need to make your DeWalt saw work like new again.
I was thinking this would be a much easier job than it turned out to be. I would suggest taking a lot of pictures to reroute the wires in the correct positions. I would also encourage you to carefully save all the parts and screws to the OLD handle and switch so you can see how it goes back together when you are ready. This is NOT the type of repair that should be done on the jobsite, rather in an uncluttered space to help get all the new parts back on correctly. I was surprised by how well it did go back together and it worked great after I plugged it in. I was just going to throw the whole saw into the dumpster until I started pricing new saws. $50 was a bargain to get this saw going again. Wire connectors and some screws are included. Take your time, take photos before you start disconnecting wires, keep the directions close by and you will be fine.

Holes line up perfect. OEM fit. KEEP YOUR OLD SCREWS/BOLTS.
Depending on what year/model your saw it, other handles may not fit correctly, or wontโ come with the switch, etc. This one has the correct bolt pattern and works great. My original handle disintegrated so I needed a replacementโฆ I tried 3 other options, but none of them fitโฆ this one did. This handle is smaller than the original with a smaller switch, but all the bolt holes line up perfectly. You will want to read the directions to determine what pieces you may still need or not need. Also, you will need to take your time with the wires, as you may need to shorten a few of them so they fit without having to cram them in-between the handle (top & bottom). Once installed, it works great. The โcarryโ part of the handle does not come with the necessary screws/bolts to attach, so keep your old onesโฆ in fact, the new handle only comes with 4 bolts/screws, so KEEP YOUR OLD SCREWS/BOLTS. I would also suggest taking a picture of the old configuration (where the wires attach to the switch, how they snake through the handle and where the screws go) prior to disassembling.

A Good Fit But Missing Screws
I just finished installing this handle after the original switch went out and there is not a replacement for it. The installation was fairly easy, although it did take about 1 hour. As said in previous reviews, SAVE YOUR OLD SCREWS! The handle comes with 5 screws. Not sure why only 5 as the handle itself required 8 to screw it together. You will need two different size Torx screw tips. The switch wiring is a different from the original, but the instructions are clear enough. Do not screw the new switch in (you don't have a screw that fits anyway). It is held in by one of the screws that holds the handle halves together. As others have mentioned, the handle is a bit smaller. I have large hands and don't have an issue.

Works but they do not give you a complete kit to do the job
This Part works for my Dewalt 705, fine, ish. It fits and does the job but you can tell it was not made for this precise saw and they just say "Hey it will work on these 23 saws" but don't take the time to send you the correct parts you will need for the various saws they say it works on. For instance, my saw requires 12 screws total to install the new trigger grip and carry handle. They sent 5, that's right 5, and they were not even all the correct size. I had to fish around my spare screws drawer and find enough screws to finish the job. The handle is on the saw now and works but it looks like a friggin dyslexic mechanic put it together with 4 different types of screws, some shiny, some not. Then there is the instructions they send, it looks like the engineer who designed this thing had his drunk 3 year old draw up a picture with instructions, they then took the instructions and made 5,000 copies on a 1989 model copier, threw away the original and the first 4,999 copies and used the 5,000th copy as the template to send to you because the damn thing is barely legible. Then the part where the main cord comes into the handle is too small by half for the cord that is on my machine, so you have to grind that out some so the cord fits. You would think this kit would come with a 3 or 4 packs of screws labeled with an A. saying use this screw pack if you are upgrading this machine, and one marked with a B. saying use this screw pack if you are upgrading this other saw. Then have the end of it set up so you could break out the plastic to fit the correct cord for your particular saw. But they don't, but other than that it is a fine product.

Works with DW705 Type 2
I used this switch kit to replace the handle and switch on a DW705 Type 2 saw. As others have noted, save the factory screws and use some of them for the replacement as required. Rewiring was easy, instructions were clear enough. Just be careful not to over-torque any of the screws. Use a manual screwdriver and trust your instincts. Don't try to use factory strain relief, discard. If you still have the factory cord, get rid of the 5" long stress sleeve (slides off) and you will have to trim the strain relief tabs back until the handle halves join evenly with only a fair amount of torque on the screws. All that being said, thanks to this part, I saved my 30 year old saw, and it once again works great! I can highly recommend!!

Works Great!
It worked great for my thirty year old Dewalt miter saw. If you have an older saw, pay attention to the wiring diagram. Donโt do like I did and put everything back in the same position! This is a good, quality part and now I am good for another thirty years!
