Professional quality mic!
I've used a lot of PTT microphones over 30 years from professional Motorola, Midland mics for business radios and most all brands of the Chinese 2 way ham/GMRS radio Kenwood mics which most are pretty much junk. After just purchasing 4 different more expensive "heavy" mics from Tidradio, Global and Baofeng which each had different problems I sent them back and after seeing a respectable YouTube ham channel rave about the quality of this Commountain brand microphone I purchased it on Amazon for twenty dollars and from the packaging, to the feel, the weight of the coiled cord and mic itself I knew right away this was in the Motorola Midland quality range. The cord is much thicker and coiled correctly, the Kenwood connector and mic connection is outstanding. The mic feels very well made with quality materials, the PTT button is very nice and strong and the real clip actually rotates perfectly and feels like it won't break easily and clamps very tightly. The sound quality of the speaker is so much better than the Chinese low quality mics which are the biggest problem with those mics. The quality of the mic transmission is outstanding and people on the other end of the conversation say it sounds nice and deep and clear. If you want a high quality no BS waterproof and substantial feeling PTT mic than skip the others and just purchase this Commountain brand microphone. The microphone comes with a 1 year warranty also which proves this company believes in their products!

Best budget speakermic
Great mic, nice weight, solid PTT button and great sound. I love the green, matches the Baofeng DM32 perfectly. The coiled cord is very reactive and not stiff. The only thing I wish was different, a black PTT button would look sharp on this. I think it would give a nice contrast. But still 5 stars!

Quality product, minor quirks for tactical setup
First note, I intend to use this in a budget tactical setup coming from a uv5r, to this mic, to Howard Leight ear pro. It definitely does the job. It held up to being crushed by backpack straps, rifle slings, rifle stocks, and getting layed on by me, in freezing temps for ten hours straight. More than could be said for me... Audio quality on the input end is great, haven't tried it's speaker due to using audio out to a headset. Electronically, my unit is perfect in that it properly cuts off the speaker, and there are no audio issues passing through the mic to the headset. My gripes are the positioning of the 3.5mm connection, being on a slanted side. Straight down would be a much cleaner setup for cable managing, especially when other gear is involved. Still, I managed just fine with it. Another is just how large this thing is with it's cable relief. Durable, yes, but bulky and makes routing the cable under some molle straps difficult. But zip ties get it going. Wish the PTT was harder to press just in case my gear pushes the button against my body. Took me a while to get the mic set up where it wouldn't actuate constantly against my body. The clip is just slightly too small to lock onto a molle slot without bending the strap. It will lock in secure, but slightly longer slot in the clip would have been perfect. Less flexible nylon may not lock on, so keep that in mind if using on tactical gear. My setup is likely not intended for this thing. It gets 5 stars because it did do what I wanted in the end. The mic itself didn't need modification at all. My friend used a much cheaper Baofeng branded mic in the same way and it worked fine, but I don't regret buying this one, and so far would buy it again if needed. Not having to worry about defective internals causing issues is nice, if reviews on other mics are any indication.

Sturdy and reliable microphone for Kenwood NX-1000 and NX-3000 series radios
EMT and Volunteer Firefighter. Our County uses Kenwoods, and the Commountain Microphone is wonderful. It's a sturdy and durable microphone that puts out fantastic sound quality when transmitting. Only complaint has to be audio received. Great for voices, but somewhat less-than for general radio noises and tones. Unless you have to hear everything as manufacturer intended however, this microphone is absolutely wonderful. If you use a Kenwood NX-1000 or NX-3000 series radio, I can't stress that this is a must-have item.

Very good purchase, this Commountain speaker mic
I have used this Commountain speaker mic on my BaoFeng BF-F8HP and my TIDRadio TD-H3 handheld radios. It has outstanding audio quality. If I speak into the radio, I may very likely blow wind into the mic hole, but I can eat this speaker mic and still have good audio on 2 meters, 222 MHz, and 440 MHz. It keeps the radio away from my face. For the TD-H3, its single PTT works fine, even though the radio has two PTT buttons. While I don't use Dual Watch that much, I've never had an issue. I just set two repeaters on bands A and B. It keys the one I have selected. Both PTTs on the radio activate the same repeater on the selected band. The PTT button on the TD-H3 is a bit stiff, but the Commountain has an easier button to push. It fits well in my hand.
