Compatible, great replacement
I used the Hard Drive as a replacement for my HP EliteBook 8540w. I've noticed that this hard drive seems to be a bit louder than my old one. The hard drive is the same size, 2.5" as my old one, and I have had no compatibility issues thus far. Nonetheless, I noticed that the hard drive brand itself is Toshiba, but as it is compatible, I am not too concerned. After installing Windows 10, I have a total of 930 GB for actual storage, which is relatively close to the 1TB amount, so I am impressed and happy with the product.NOTE/SUGGESTION: To all my fellow Windows PC users, after you have replaced the hard drive and installed Windows, I highly recommend running "Defragment and Optimize Drives" on your Windows. It will speed up the hard drive and ensure it runs at its optimal speed.
