Another good quality boot from Sketchers!
I have used Sketchers work boots for years and they have always proven to be a great boot. This is my first time trying this specific boot and so far, it is staying true to the quality of the other Sketchers I have had before. The sole padding is comfortable and the fit is great (half sizes go a long way in comfort if you don't quite fit in the whole sizes). The pull tab on the back helps to slide your foot in easier, since this is a slip-on boot without laces and you need to have good ankle support. However, I have ripped those tabs off on my older boots, so I baby the pull tab a bit and push my foot and pull at the same time to reduce the strain on the tab instead of using just the tab to pull them on. I like the bit of ankle "tightness" since a too loose opening is actually dangerous and could cause a rolled ankle. If you have issues with slip-on shoes being too tight to slide your foot in, then I highly recommend switching to lace-up boots for better support. I use these for work, but they look nice as a dress boot as well!

A boot for any occasion
I really like these boots. I can wear them with jeans or chinos and they look great, even with a belt and button down shirt. They are light enough for spring and fall, and durable and warm enough for winter. I wear a size 9 mens sneaker (Vans and Adidas), and a size 8 fit me perfectly in these boots. I have a slightly wide toe box and I don't like it when my big toe bumps against the inside of the shoe. These boots give me enough room without feeling loose when I walk. They are quite soft and comfortable and I could walk as long as I wanted. I can put the boots on without sitting down, I just reach back with one hand and grab the strap and they slide right on, yet they are not too roomy when walking for miles. I can wear thick socks and they are not too tight. There is definitely a break-in period. I noticed a little bit of a rub against my right shin the first time I wore them. The black boots are a rigid faux-leather material, and I also bought the brown color and I noticed that they are a little softer, and broke in faster. I live in Portland, OR and we recently got a variety of weather conditions and I put these boots to the test and I was happy with the results. It rained a lot and then we got 2-3 inches of snow with very cold temperatures. THESE ARE NOT INSULATED BOOTS AND YOUR TOES MIGHT GET COLD. However, I did not feel any pain or discomfort. I walked for 30-60 minutes (2-3 miles) on hard packed snow and slush in the city, in 20-25 F temperatures on two separate occasions, and the boots held up to the salt, snow, and cold in the city. I wore two pairs of socks, one thin poly and one thick wool, and my feet stayed warm and dry. I didn't have to step in deep snow, my jean cuffs never got wet. I felt my big toes start to get a little numb after walking on snow for 15 minutes straight, but it went away after I got back on the sidewalk. I also noticed that the boots have good traction in icy slush and frozen hard pack, and although I slipped slightly a couple of times, I felt stable and I confidently walked through all of the conditions without falling down. I also wore these boots in steady rain while walking for 20-30 minutes, and my feet and ankles stayed completely dry. Overall this is a great, comfortable, everyday boot that you can wear to the office, or on the weekends for city hikes in all conditions. UPDATE: these boots are pretty useless on ice. Then again, most footwear is useless on ice. These boots will cause you to slip right away, but Iโve actually had worse. If the ground isnโt crunchy, donโt step on it.

Great Boot for the Money.
I have now owned this boot for one (1) year (I purchased them on 11/24/2024). I wear them on any day off work (I have a pair of work boots I wear while at work). These are my everyday casual boot. I wear them almost exclusively when I'm out & about. They come ready-to-wear soft and comfortable right out of the box. They go well with jeans, khakis, or any casual style pants you may choose to wear. They are comfortable and the leather has held up well. My only complaint is that the edge of the sole on the left boot started to breakdown fairly early on. It seems to be caused by something rubbing against it while in my Jeep. I believe this is just going to be a me issue; although, I don't see the sole as being of the toughest composition. The traction is mediocre, but I don't think I'd wear this out hiking on trails or for any real outdoor work. It's great for casual daily wear, and for the price I don't think you will find a better built and more comfortable boot. I'm considering buying another pair just to have as backup for when these finally give it up in another couple of years. I'd hate to wait only to find out they no longer make this model. As for care of the boot, in the year I've owned them I've only brushed them off with a horsehair brush when they've gotten dirty. Last night was my first time to actually put polish on them. That was mainly just to help condition the leather. Honestly, I should have done way before that as part of normal care, but I just wanted to see how they would hold up. They have not disappointed. I'll probably just wipe them down and put some saddle soap on them evey three to four (3-4) months from now on.

The minute these bad boys slid onto my feet and I took one ...
Heaven uses Skechers memory foam shoes as their reference for comfort and taste. The minute these bad boys slid onto my feet and I took one step I knew my feet were home and could spend the rest of their days in the lap of luxury. You could almost picture Robin Leach and the theme tune to Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous playing in the background as my feet were introduced to the new home of comfort. Style wise; The soles are not that pretty but my feet don't care, the party is all on the inside. The colour is also a touch on the light brown side, almost with a hint of orange. Construction; The top part seems glued on, not stitched like everyone other shoe I own in this style, so there is a line where the sole meets the upper section, and the glue is visible. See the attached photo. However all my other Skecher shoes have last well and they share a similar construction technique. Conclusion; something this soft on my feet will get some serious wear. The ascetics are pretty good, a waterproof coat will help darken them to a shade of brown I like. As for the contruction, if its like my other Skecher, there wont be an issue. Would I buy again? Yes. *Edit* Had these shoes over a year now. Been up mountains. Gone to work. Walked around the city. Played in snow. Even water proofed them to bring the colour down to a dark brown. Am very impressed with this shoe. Am about to purchase another pair, cant decide if I want black or brown. Am very happy with this shoe.

Great boots!
Wow, these are my new favorite boots! I treated them with Obenauf's and buffed them the next day and they darkened up a nice shade (I got the brown ones) and these have a very cushiony insole and a roomy toe box. Generally I prefer wide footwear because I have sensitive does, and these just happen to naturally be wide enough to not cause any pinching of the toes. The instep is slightly loose, but I think it might be the reason they are called "relaxed fit". As such, these may not be idea for extended hikes off road, as your foot will likely slide around a bit inside the shoe, but for winter wear and cold weather, they are perfect for my needs. You aren't going to want to walk through very deep snow or anything that is anke keep, as liquid will pass through the goring and into the inside of the boot. But, if you are going to the mall on a winter day and you have to deal with a little snow and slush and then walk for miles inside a mall, you will really appreciate them and their softness and cushioning. The memory form is nice for retaining warmth too and shielding you from the cold ground. This is my second pair of Skeckers and have to admit that I never gave the brand any consideration until I got the first pair of slip on shoes last year that also have the memory foam and they became my go-to shoes for easy on access and comfort, and I have been impressed with the way they have worn in and that the sole is not wearing down like other shoes I have tried. So these seem rugged and comfortable and I think you'll enjoy them if you want cushioning and ease of donning. I recommend Obenaufs or some other waterproofing for extended durability and protection.

Nice boot but opening for your foot is kinda small for a slip on.
I have had this boot about a month. This is a nice looking boot and it appears to be sturdy and well made. Some other reviewers said that the sizing runs large so I bought mine 1/2 size smaller than I normally wear and they fit very well except for my problem described below. The boot is comfortable to wear, not the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn but feels good none the less. Here is the odd thing and my only complaint about these boots. These are supposed to be "slip on" boots. The opening that you put your foot into seems to be much smaller that other similar boots I have worn. I cant just put my foot in the boot and slip it on. I have to reach down and use the pull loop on the back of the boot and work my foot into it. I was hoping that they would break in and become less stiff allowing me to slip them on but not yet after about a month. I wear them daily. I have been wearing this style of slip on boots (different brands) for several years and have always been able to just slip my foot into the boot with out touching it. Thats the whole reason I want a slip on boot...to slip them on!! I cant with this boot though. Based on this I would not purchase these boots, which are otherwise nice, again.

Very comfortable, good quality
Good quality very durable very comfortable slip on boots. Great for lounging around house or going out to store. Lasted a long time. Will definitely buy another pair.

Hard to get on.
Ordered the same size as two pair of Sketcher shoes I have. Had a terrible time getting them on the first time. Almost gave up to send back. I finally got them on and they were fairly comfortable. Wore them the rest of the day. Next time I put them on they were still hard to pull on but not as bad. Third time this morning and it's getting easier. The insoles aren't as comfortable as the Sketcher shoes I have. Not bad but I was expecting the same level of comfort. I have neuropathy in my feet and I really need good quality insole support, which the shoes have. Not sure why that didn't carry over to the boots. We'll see as time goes on but I'm hoping they'll break in more and get easier to put on. Might try a pair of insoles when that happens. Just realized, there is no arch support in these boots. Going to have to try a slip in insert I guess. If you need firm arch support I'd give these boots a pass. The boots got increasingly easier to pull on as time went by but it was still a struggle. This morning the loop you use to pull them on broke on one boot so that's going to make it even more difficult. Given how much I like the two pair of Sketcher shoes I have I'm very disappointed in these boots. Won't buy again.

Fit is big good for me
So I purchased a pair of $200 baffin slip-on boots and sketchers for like $114. Now the baffins were cheaper because 43% off sale so the price was almost the same. Baffin boots came first, well they were to tight at the toes and were more like a size 13 instead of a 14 and were also a little narrow. Next day the sketchers came. And they were a lot harder to pull on than the baffin boots and the piece on the back that you loop your finger in is not the biggest. However once I got them on the first thing I noticed was my foot had some room in there the fit was way better than the baffin boots. Then I stood up a d immediately felt the top of the boot cutting into my leg. The reason is the rim of the boot it pretty much the same hight at front as sides and back and is sew (sewed, sewen) right at top where baffin have about 1/2 to 3/4 of inch of a piece at front that blends it into your leg very good. But the fit on my feet are really good not crowded at all in there. So yes they fit wide and long compared to most boots I can only imagine what at pair of 14 wide would have been like. The sole has a pretty good pattern on them for grip. And with the more expensive baffins it felt like I could feel the pattern of the sole on the bottom of foot but the memory foam feels really good. BUT memory foam does not have a good track record of holding up. I do t like the line of the sole however a black perm marker will fix that. The stretch sides are pretty tight but I'll have to give the sides and with that the front a week or 2 to break in so will update then. I hope the top of the boot doesn't hurt my leg from walking and rubbing. The build seems to be very good the stretch material I think is a way higher quality than the baffins foam type stretch material. UPDATE. The piece you put your finger through to pull boot on broke within a month. Good thing they are sending replacements. Still pretty happy with boot hoping this was a one off.

Skechers no decepciona
