I love this primer!! I have super dry skin on my cheeks/nose and somewhat larger pores. I really struggled trying to find a primer that made my skin look matte-perfect but also kept my foundation from flaking. The very first time I used this, I gave my little sister all of my other primers. I had tried 5 or 6 of the big name, expensive primers and liked at least some aspect of each one, but I don’t think i’ll ever quit using this one. Goes on easy & lasts all day. My only complaint is that it can feel a little heavy if you’re used to using pretty light coverage makeup, but not so heavy that I would stop using it. I’m sold on this, and it’s a good deal for your money! The jar is small, but a little goes a long way with this. I’ve used it daily since I bought it a few weeks back and still have the majority of the jar left. Would recommend & will be buying again!!

I'm not sure this is the miracle product I'd hoped for based on some of the reviews, but I do like it, and I'd say it's definitely helpful. From the jar, it's a pale pink cream, but as you spread it on your skin it begins to dry quickly and has a light powdery texture. You have to work quickly because it dries almost as you apply it and once it's dry it's less spreadable. I found that I got the best results by being patient and working with very small amounts rather than dabbing on a large amount and trying to spread and blend it. If I applied too heavily it would begin to clump and brush off. I also found that putting it on very thin and light, and then reapplying another thin layer or two gave me better results. It seems to work better on very fine lines and I think that's because the powdery product fills the creases in your skin which would be harder to do on deeper creases. It feels very soft on your skin and doesn't have a noticeable scent. It doesn't look oily or shiny, but also doesn't look dry and cakey. It just has a nice, soft matte finish. I thought it was a little pricey for a half ounce jar, but a little seems to go a long way. If it lasts a while I'll be okay with the cost.

Every time I put this on I feel like I'm rubbing putty on my face. Was hard to get used to but after I saw that my foundation stays on all day and looks great up until I remove it before bedtime, I'd have to say GREAT PRODUCT! A while back I asked my friend, who applies bridal makeup, for a living why my foundation looked dull and almost gone. She said "you have to just reapply it ". I thought I can't be bothered. Why can't I find something that'll make my foundation look just as good from morning till night. I FOUND IT. I've tried other primers...expensive ones (a lot of $$ doesn't equal a great product), spray ones (couldn't get used to spraying my face. How do I know it was going all over my face. My eyes were shut 🤦🏽‍♀️!), liquidy ones (it seemed my foundation was slip sliding away by mid-afternoon). I wanted to look good all day long. I also tried setting powder all over my face. That showed up every crease and line it could uncover. Plus I didn't have that "healthy glow" which I think that's what my foundation gives me. Why do I want to cover it up ? I do not however put this under my eyes. As I said it goes on like putty. I don't want to pull my delicate skin under there and cause damage becuz it is so thick. You aren't suppose to rub there anyway. Therefore I apply NYX by lightly dabbing with my ring finger. I have to put primer there or I'll have raccoon eyes!!😳 after my foundation I lightly dot Cover FX and my mascara stays on my lashes. Very very good product. Don't get discouraged becuz it is so thick. Found what I've been searching for, therefore, will order it again.

I thought I would try this primer based on some positive reviews and out of curiosity. I love to try new things and the price was right. The jar is very small! The product is not creamy or even like a gel but thick, a bit waxy and somewhat hard to spread on my face. I really don't know if the consistency is normal or if I got an old jar. Once I do manage to spread the primer on my face, it does has some slip to it which I like but it feels too thick to me. I used it and then applied makeup and it seemed to form a decent barrier between my skin and the cosmetics. I didn't notice that it extended my makeup wear time by much but perhaps a little. I use liquid or cream foundation. This may work better with mineral or powder types. I can't figure out whether the strange consistency is what the company was going for or if I just got an old tub. I was going to return it but decided to try it and it isn't awful once it is on my skin. I won't repurchase though. I like creamier primers that have more silicone in them. This one is just not magic nor perfecting. It's thick and somewhat dry. There are much better primers for the same price or lower, in my opinion.

This stuff is great! I really don't like wearing a lot of makeup, but unfortunately I struggle with acne (age 24) and have a bit to cover up -- acne as well as bad pores, and not so great texture on parts of my face. I hate foundation because it's cakey. I finally found this and it does wonders. It covers up my texture issues and most of my pore issues. It also creates a very smooth surface to apply cover-up to. As long as you have a cover up that matches your skin tone well, you don't need foundation over this, if you're not much into the makeup look like me. Only use a very tiny amount! A little goes a long way! To make sure this doesn't clog my pores. I apply my gentle cleanser with an exfoliating brush at the end of the day to be sure it all comes off. My only two complaints: -- The jar it comes in is very small and quite pricey (however it works so well I'm willing to pay it). I imagine the jar will last me about 3 months - but remember what I said about only using a tiny bit! --The jar itself. Because it's in a jar, I have to be more concerned about bacteria. Though the advantage of it being in a jar is I can get every last bit. Couldn't say the same for a pump.

I have been using this product now for about a year and I am rewriting my review to change from two stars to 5. Since buying this product I have purchased about three other products that are matte to help control the oiliness I get in the summer. Well none of the other products worked as they said they should and this one didn't seem to either which is why it originally had two stars. However, since using this product in the spring fall and winter I realize it's better than all the other products I've used and it creates a smooth looking finish. Lessening the look of my pores and dark spots.I often wear it with no other makeup on top of it just because I like the way it makes my face look by itself. You really only need a tiny little amount I put the smallest sheer smudge in four spots on my face and that's all I use. I think the issue with the oiliness in the summer and it's not working is due to nothing at all working simply because I produce way too much oil. I don't think that's an issue with the product.

1st of all i am not at all new to using primer i am a pt working makeup artist i just f makeup on the side for extra income and have been so for 7 years now i did however hv a massive stroke 2 years ag. Oyehich aged my skin by a good 20 years ouch so i did have to change my own mackeup routine a bit as now i hv wrinkles and loose skin in the eye area so i decided to try diffrent primers and foundations before i used the clear mineral primer by elf which is super cheap and that works AMAZING kept my makeup looking fresh and perfect FOR DAYS yes ladies i said days i am such a perfectionest w my makeup i would sit at my vanity sometimes for 2 hours to do a full face cuz i wouldnt be done till EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT N IF I MESSED SOMETHING UP I WLD WIPE IT ALL OFF N START OVERwow now to get to the review i told u all this cuz i know times people read reviews spacificlly bad reviews n think they just didnt use it rite let me assure u i know very well how to apply primer and this primer was no good did nothing for wrinkles and had no staying power it didnt keep my foundation looking good even for 3 hours let alone the entire day! After only a couple hours my foundation contour n everything was faded so badly i had to totally reapply using my elf primer which i can apply n wear it all day and sleep in my makeup and i hv worn it again the entire next day and it still looks fresh like i had just done it i recomend the elf primers over even some highend primers they hv a whole line of primers from the clear mineral which keeps my very oily skin matte for days whithout drying me out to moisurizing one for dry skin and one for minumizing pores i hv tried all and they are all wonderful my favorite is the minuralize one cuz it keeps me matte but i hv dry skin n wrinkles under my eyes so i use the moisurizing one under my eyes and they clear minuralize one on the rest my face i do not recomend this loreal primer however there are lots of loreal products that i do love and use everyday on both myself and my clients like the loreal infallible foundations and lipstick n cream eyeliners
