I’ve been using this thing every weekend for about 7 months now, and I absolutely love it.It’s incredibly lightweight and easy to set up, which makes a huge difference when you’re constantly moving it around or setting up for different projects. Despite being light, it’s surprisingly sturdy and handles a good amount of weight without any issues.The versatility is what really stands out. You can use it for cutting, assembling, supporting sheet goods, or just as a general work surface. It adapts well to whatever you’re working on, which makes it a go-to tool in the shop or on-site.It also folds down compact, so storage and transport are easy. Perfect if you don’t have a ton of space or need something portable.Overall, super practical and reliable. If you’re doing regular projects or weekend work, this is definitely worth having.

This product is something I wish I’d bought much much sooner. Because of the seemingly high cost I held off and instead bought several pairs of saw horses or work stands that I hoped would work making this product much more of a value because those items repeatedly failed to do what I wanted even when used together (they weren’t bad, just not big enough for my projects). Also, together they cost more. There is no assembly time for this, is just out of the bag and in less than 10m- 15 seconds it’s ready to use. Like a lot of people I have back pain and I was hesitant about the height, thinking I possibly needed the 36” version but this height is just right so far and ordering 6” attachments means now I have the option for both heights. I’m still learning how to use the attachments and haven’t been able to really use the clamps yet but the mechanism for the clamps seems pretty solid. I use this with a 1/4” sheet of plywood on the stand and then a 4’x8’ 2” piece of foam insulation and it’s like having a big shop table - well, kind of because these isn’t a flush mount for my table saw or router - but still great for my track saw and other assembly needs. When I finished it was the quickest “tear down” of my work area I’d ever had. This thing folds back up quickly and after a few times of carefully doing it the folding up part goes smoothly although the first time I had to slow down, it helps when you realize you almost need to lift it off the floor while closing it. Overall this work table is definitely worth the cost if you need something sturdy and quick, the height of 30” is about right, and for me the opened size is great for ripping 4’x8’ sheets of plywood.

Buy this now. This is the most versatile work station you will ever use. Don't let the price fool you. It is a bargain for what you can do with it. Change the size, change the layout, add pieces, this is a game changer. As a professional the uses on the jobsite are endless, as a diyer, this thing will be more handy than anything you have in your arsenal and it stores away anywhere. It takes up minimal space and will never be in the way yet expands to a 4 x 8 work space. Absolutely love this and is the best value for the money I have spent, the saw horses haven't been used since the purchase.

Overall, I’ve been very happy with this workbench. The build quality is excellent, and it feels sturdy and durable while still being lightweight enough to transport. The carrying bag is a nice addition, making it easy to store and take to different job sites or around the shop. The included accessories, especially the clamps and 2x4 brackets, are well designed and work as intended.The reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is the overall size. I purchased the 4x8 version specifically so I could break down full sheets of plywood without having to work on the ground or dedicate space to a permanent cutting table. Unfortunately, the dimensions don’t seem to work as expected. The frame appears to be slightly larger than a standard 4x8 sheet, so laying a full sheet of plywood or 4x8 insulation foam directly on top requires workarounds instead of fitting naturally.Aside from that issue, it’s a very well-made product that performs well and is incredibly convenient. If your primary goal isn’t supporting full 4x8 sheets exactly as they come from the store, I think you’ll be very pleased. I just wish the sizing better matched the intended use for sheet goods.

I've only used this a few times since purchased but am very impressed and which I had discovered this sooner. I'm a lifelong home handyman and woodworker and have always had a small workshop. My newest work shop is larger than in the past but I still have space limitations. I also have several steps going into the shop so can't roll my large equipment (table and band saws) out to do larger projects. I found this Bora option and it's perfect for my use. It took a little practice to get it set up but when it's set, it's a solid as I need it to be. In the past, I was using a pair of saw horses but this is magnitudes better than that. I'm mainly using it the size sheet good and trim boards to size using a track saw.It's got the standard MFT dog hole spacing which I'm only just beginning to use. Has worked well with MFT style squares and triangles that I've tried so far. Even though the legs don't look very robust, after you get the top attached, it's a very solid set up. Using a combination of this table and some saw horses, it was solid enough for me to rip 12 ft long, 6/4 mahogany boards. I also use this on a flag stone surface so it's not exactly flat. I was worried after reading some reviews about that potentially affecting the stability. I've had to move mine around some to get the best fit but after I get it set right, there's no issues. I don't plan on using this for hand work such as planning or hand sawing, but do feel that the table would be rigid enough to support some side loading. If I try that, I'll update the review with the results.The MDF top seems solid and durable but time will tell. Also, probably an inexpensive way to try the MFT trend if that's an expensive rabbit hole you're considering. I really like the storage bag and how small it folds up. This was a great fit for my shop and hope to get a lot of use out of it. My only thought is that I may have been better off with the taller table. I'm 5'9" so this not too low, but when I use it with saw horses just seems lower than I would like.

Should be just a bit smaller than a 4x8 sheet of plywood so that there is some overhang. It is tough to get the wood to sit on all the support pads without them slipping off the edge.

Giving this stand 5 stars. It has performed great for my woodworking projects. Although it is a little short at 30 inches and the 36 inch model is too tall for me in my opinion. So I made my own custom risers out of 1/2inch and 3/4 inch plywood and glued them together to end up with a working height of 33 inches. Using a 1/4 x20 bolt and insert nut, the risers are attached to the stand and go where it goes. If needed, I can simply unscrew the 3D printed nut (1/4x20 nut inserted) and remove them. But the risers are identical so the 2x4 brackets that come with the stand fit and allow for them the lay flat. I also 3D printed two additional brackets found on the internet so all six stand legs have the bracket if needed. The stand is easy to deploy or take down. Wife usually does that part. I don't like the dimensions of the Bora tables so I built a custom top using 1/2 inch Baltic Birch plywood, cut it in half and added hinges. Now I have a 30x60 inch top that fits over the risers and stays put. CNC cut 3/4 inch dog holes, slot for square and recessed areas for screws make for a great work surface. I am very happy with the end result.

The Bora Centipede is one of those "Where have you been all my life?" products. I knew that I would be buying one (or more), and it doesn't disappoint. However, it took a great deal of deliberation to figure out WHAT to buy. I'm adding my thoughts to the huge number of (well-earned) positive reviews in the hope that they may be useful to you if your finger is twitching over the "Buy" button because the devil's in the details.I have several use cases for this, but highly portable assembly space and/or cutting surface and the need to break down sheet goods into more manageable pieces are at the top of the list. I'm fairly tall and like a taller work surface, but I ultimately opted for two of the 30" version without Bora's folding work surface. Here's how I got there.The Portamate can only be used at full extension, so a 2x4' one can only be 2x4'. While I needed a 4x8 space for my second use case, 2x4' seemed far more practical under more circumstances, so I bought two. The supplied lumber brackets let me tie them together into a single 4x8' "surface." Each one comes with 4 brackets, so if this is something you may want to do, buy another 4 brackets to provide better support in the center. With these, your own lumber and a sacrificial sheet of EPS, you have a "track saw station."I opted for the 30" stands because oddly, the 36" models are not available with bags. Yet. The stands come with a fair number of accessories and I wanted to corral everything in its own bag because this reduces the likelihood of my leaving something behind at a job site. Also, for the second use case, 30" is plenty of height.Bora does make height extenders, but I have passed on those (for now) because the reviews seem to indicate that they're fiddlesome.What I bought serves my needs very well. As many others have noted, this spindly looking contraption is a sturdy beast that deploys and recovers in seconds and disappears when not in use. The Centipede work stand is an absolute gem.So, why didn't I buy the work surfaces? This is NOT a review; I don't own the work surfaces and cannot speak to their quality or utility directly. These are just my thoughts. My reservation is primarily around shipping. The design seems sound; their ability to fold makes them take up half as much space when stored or stowed. But they're MDF. If the shipper drops the heavy box on a corner, the MDF gets chipped or broken. If they drop it on the wrong corner, the work surface may be unusable. I may buy them in the future, but only at a retail store or once I see reviews that indicate better protective packaging. More than likely, I'll make my own.The work surfaces are also available with dog holes or dog holes and T-track. Note that they're available with Imperial or Metric dog holes; reviewers who complained about the dog holes being too small bought the wrong one. The ones with T-track come with a hefty price tag, but if you don't need to make precision, repeatable cuts, the system is still a disruptively priced, highly mobile assembly space. Assembly space is baked into competitor systems such as the more expensive Kreg ACS and the wickedly more expensive Festool MFT, but those are better cut stations.Overall, while the work surfaces would complete my Centipedes, MDF is "chippy" and insanely heavy compared to Melamine laminated plywood. The fit and finish of Bora's products is generally very good, but in my view, their choice of material isn't great in this case.
