Ahh... Dark, Rich Tasting, Smooth, yet NOT weak, NICE & DELICIOUS!
I LOVE this coffee; it's just what I was looking for... dark taste yet not bitter. This coffee tastes GREAT the price is lower than organic coffee at my local Trader Joe's. For a while I have not been able to find DARK ROAST coffee in organic, just mild and medium! And the non-organic dark coffee that I find costs more than this Kicking Horse Coffee, Grizzly Claw, Dark Roast. My son thought this coffee was weak, but then... he puts LOTS of coffee creamer - very, very sweet and he adds hot chocolate mix - again, very sweet and he adds ICE and drinks the coffee COLD... so, I'm not so sure we can trust his judgment about whether this is weak coffee. For me, I have tried a LOT of coffee for years and I have found in this coffee to be a GREAT coffee for me! The way I prepare is that I have reusable PODS and I fill them with this coffee. I grind the beans to be very FINE and I stuff the POD as packed as I can get it, which is a lot when it's finely ground. This totally works for me. ... Ahh... Dark, Rich Tasting, Smooth, yet NOT weak, NICE & DELICIOUS!

Bold, smooth and my new go-to coffee
If you like your coffee rich, bold, and strong without being bitter, Grizzly Claw is the perfect pick. The aroma hits you the moment you open the bag—deep chocolate and a little earthy sweetness. Once brewed, it’s smooth with a full body, and has this nice cocoa-like finish that lingers in a really satisfying way. It’s strong enough to wake me up in the morning but not harsh like some dark roasts can be. I’ve tried it both in a drip machine and French press, and it comes out great either way—full-flavored, never weak. The beans are fresh, the grind consistency (if you buy ground) is solid, and I really appreciate that it’s organic and fair trade. It feels good knowing I’m getting a high-quality coffee that’s responsibly sourced. If you’re looking for a dark roast that’s smooth, bold, and delicious, Grizzly Claw is absolutely worth trying. I’ll be keeping this stocked in my kitchen.

Dark, earthy and bold
Kicking Horse has some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. There is a blend for everyone. I particularly like the darker roasts. This is a great earthy chocolaty blend. Low acidity. It’s a dry bean so doesn’t get clogged in the espresso grinder

I recommend
Very good coffee. More like a medium -dark roast. Not only verified organic but, if I remember correctly, single sourced as well.

Good coffee
I love this coffee. I grind it, pour about a cup of grounds into almost boiling filtered water, cover and steep four minutes, strain into a clean glass large cup. Add stevia, vanilla extract, and my favorite milk (Silk coconut milk, unsweetened) at least 1:1 volume with the coffee. Refrigerate several hours or overnight and this is the best coffee and very cost-effective specialty coffee-shop drink.

Modified rating and comment
I bought a dark roast. After a week it's tasting pretty good so modifying this rating upwards. I have to grind it finer but it's pretty smooth and tasty.

Grizzly Claw - Organic *DARK* roast full of flavour and not too bitter or oily
I highlighted the DARK in the title because coffee drinkers deserve to know a mostly recent health concern being ignored from discussion. Only within the last few years the issue of Acrylamide has popped up, a cancer causing chemical also created in the roasting of coffee. Contrary to original belief that a hotter and longer burn equals higher levels (kettle cooked potato chips have more than regular), a longer roast of the beans allows this chemical to evapourate and have less in your coffee (medium and light having more - instant coffee having the highest, but DYOR). So why not only drink dark roast if better safe than sorry with your daily favourite beverage? This selection reminds me of the strong flavourful roasts from that big brand on every corner but without the bitter taste or oily beans that can ruin my grinder.

Best coffee product I have found just about anywhere
If my world travels, this is the best coffee I have found outside of South East Asia. I cannot find anything that can match its roast, smokey flavour, and satisfying finish. There is actual body here, not just dark roast. I don’t know how they came up with such a great coffee, but I am buying. The only thing I dislike about this is that they only allow me to buy 5 bags at a time. I would prefer to order 10 because I struggle with remembering and am always running out.

Supreme coffee but goes quickly.
Because this product is coffee beans, it goes rather quickly. Certainly doesn't last as long as a bag of pre-ground would. I also have to take into consideration that I only use a French press and I like my coffee strong which all adds to how quickly it disappears. French press should have course ground beans, so all of these elements add up to the beans not lasting so long. None-the-less, it's the best coffee I've ever had.

454 Horsepower and Kiiickass 564 Horsepower is my fav snd Smart Ass añd Grizzly Claw are next. Better sacks now show best before from which buyers can get date roasted, I drink 1 cold or hot brew a day so kilo sizes are not necessary. Amazon does not show date roasted, but they are pretty reliable and worth thé try. Try the coffee, you'll like it, to coin a phrase. Start with the mellow fellows is you are leery 45 Horsepower brew offers stronger flavour, scent, and kick than some might enjoy There are half a dozen lighter offerings for you to try first, of course. Amazon offersbdmall packs, a good way to test your taste. Bon chance.
