I have had two of these fail now, I took the last one apart to see why and found rust inside the motor cogs, these things are not waterproof as shown in the photos. Avoid

Does not work after first cycle
I connected it to 12 V and it moved to full extension. Then it died there. It does not move back when I reverse the polarity of the power supply. It was single use so to say. Disappointed.

Works great for my automatic chicken door
Got tired of buying chicken doors that lasted just past the warranty period and decided to build my own. Putt my chicken door in service in Aug of 25 and it is now June of 26 still working well even totally exposed to chicken dust and dander basically covered with it.
