TM2-6 Station Indoor/Outdoor Controller

We ordered this controller as well as the LNK2 Smart Wi-fi Module 2nd generation in order to replace our older Rain Bird panel and to finally have Wi-fi access while out of town. I did a lot of research with the help of AI and was pretty confident that my husband could install this with little to no problem as he is pretty handy and recently installed security cameras as well as a Wi-fi thermostat with no problem. Prior to installing this panel I questioned AI about the initial set up and my husband watched a simple YouTube video. When it came time to set it up we were ready to go and easily disassembled our old panel and installed the new one. It took about 20 minutes to do everything, including the addition of the Wi-fi module which was a piece of cake as there is a place clearly marked where you insert it into the panel. The app was easy to install and for the most part I was able to get everything synced up in no time. I then played around with it for a bit and figured it out. This was so much easier to install than expected and we wound up saving ourselves over $200 in installation costs as we had gotten estimates from a couple of local sprinkler companies.

The Rain Bird ESP-TM2 6 Station Controller is an outstanding upgrade for any irrigation system! Installation was straightforward and took about 30 minutes, with clear instructions, making setup a breeze. It’s WiFi-ready, which means adding innovative features down the road is easy. I also highly recommend adding the wireless rain sensor and the WiFi module, which make a noticeable difference in flexibility and efficiency, allowing for weather-based adjustments and remote control from your phone. This setup is perfect for managing multiple zones and keeps everything running smoothly. Great value, excellent performance. Highly recommend!

Out of the box, I installed it ease. Couldn't be easier. I've found the ESP-TM2 is much easier to program than previous Rainbird controllers I have owned. The programming steps are common sense and go in a logical progression. Selecting watering days, start times, duration of sprinkler on, etc., are easy to do and almost "mistake" free. I have had no problems with this controller and I'm very pleased with it.I must say the videos for this controller than Rainbird provides are not all that helpful. They are somewhat confusing and it's better to watch an actual users youtube version instead. But don't be discouraged, the system is very easy to figure out and understand.

I bought this to replace an older ORBIT one that you could not see the screen. It did not have a back light, which I guess was not important years ago. The info on the screen was very light, so it was impossible to use.This one was easy to install, works perfectly, and is EASY to read and work with. It was also very reasonable in price--these things last pretty much forever.Highly recommended if you need a 6-zone controller.

I purchased this unit to replace an old RainBird. I thought I would like the better display visibility on the new one vs the LCD display of the old one. I was wrong. This display is just as hard to read in the bright daylight. It really needs a brightness control. In all other respects though it seems like a good replacement for the old one. I do like the ability to tie it to Wifi and has an app that can program it.

Perfect replacement for my 30 YO Rainbird controller ESP-6SI. Take a photo of your current wiring before you begin. No battery back up needed, internal storage of program. EZ connection - No bulky low voltage converter - connected to common grounded exterior 3 prong male plug / socket. I need and longer run and replaced the provided plug with a 20' extension. EZ install and programming. Compact, functional controls.

This unit is simple to use for anyone with little knowledge on controllers. The cheaper ones are not easy to program like these.
