Can you set a drill depth with these?

There is a little bit of adjustment with the set screw that holds the drill bit. Also, as the tip is spring loaded and the bit self centering, you can choose not to bottom it out. IMHO the bits primary usage is related to hinges so it doesn't drill much over 5/8" anyway
