Works well for my use
I have this oven of about 3 weeks now and have used it at least two to three time per week. The cook time seem to be on target, I always use the higher suggested time and the food comes out juicy and delicious. I have tried chicken thighs both from frozen and thawed and they seem to come out the same so, once it is cooked you will not really know if the food was cooked from from fresh or frozen meat. I have also tried it on apples with cinnamon sugar and my kids love it for dessert with vanilla ice cream. Some people say that food taste different when it is cooked from frozen but from what I have experience so far, I can say that it may depend on how long the food has been frozen and how was it prepared before putting it in the freezer. When I got the New Wave Oven, the 2nd food that I put in there is a frozen salmon. I believe the fish has been frozen for at least 4 or 5 months. The fish came out dry and taste is bland even after following the seasoning instruction. I thought that I will need to still thaw all the food before putting it in the oven to taste better. When we went to Costco one weekend, I picked up a fresh steel head salmon. I seasoned it and put half of it in the new wave oven and it came out really good, my wife told me that the taste and texture is just like what you can order in an expensive restaurant. I put the other half already seasoned in the freezer. After 3 days, I pull the frozen fish out and stick it in the oven and the fish taste and texture came out the same as the one that was cooked fresh. From this experience, I now season the meat before putting them in the freezer to make sure that they are ready to be cooked when needed. The only problem I have is cooking vegetables especially broccoli and asparagus, if I just put it on the oven as shown on video and cookbook, it always burn a portion of the vegetables. I have to follow, the other suggestion from the DVD that it came with to wrap the vegetable in foil and put some seasoning and a water to steam and that comes out perfect. The cleanup is easy, I just make sure to spray the pan and grill with pam to prevent the food from sticking. As for the dome, I have only washed it 2 times after about 10 uses. I usually just wipe it with damp cloth after use. The power head remains clean as the food does not touch it but I also wipe it with damp cloth after using to clean.

Great price and great product
This is a superior product! I bought my first NuWave from a friend (barely used) when my regular oven broke and I couldn't afford to replace it immediately. I didn't cook a whole turkey in here, but all the usual things I would have regularly cooked in my oven were cooked in the NuWave and came out perfectly. I've cooked frozen meat (chicken legs/thighs/breasts, hamburgers) and fresh meats (chicken, fish, hamburgers, pork chops/loins, meatloaf) and it cooked much quicker than a regular oven, without heating your kitchen up. It makes convenience foods like nuggets and frozen or leftover pizza taste far better than microwaving. The first one I had was white, and the bottom discolored a little from frequent use. The Pro Digital I have now is black and has not discolored at all. The very bottom plastic base, the pans, and the grate thingy can all go in the dishwasher, as long as the plastic is on the top rack. I use cooking spray (Pam) on the grate before cooking and will sometimes put foil on the bottom pan if I'm cooking something with a sweet marinade or sauce like BBQ - that can be harder to clean off. I haven't had any problems with the dome, but I'm cautious handling it (it does get hot), and when I place it on the counter, I have one side on a towel so the steam can escape and so it doesn't create a suction with the counter. I have only ever used the "high" (default) setting and nothing has ever burned. I set the timer for 8 minutes and check it, then flip if necessary (obviously this will be longer for frozen items). You can make complete meals in this - such as potatoes in the bottom pan, meat on the grate on the higher setting (closer to the burner) and add a sliced, quick-cooking fresh veggie (such as asparagus, broccolini, spears of yellow squash and peppers, etc) around the meat during the last 4-5 minutes for crisp-tender consistency. Bonus when the yummy meat juice drips on that :)

Good Product
I tried a halogen oven, it failed in just weeks! This one is pure infrared, much better design, more temperature range, sensible timer controls. In the 3 months that I've owned this one, it has performed very well. The high-profile advantage of this configuration oven is that one does not have to dig into a deep 350 degree glass bowl (read HOT!!, a real finger/hand burner!) to attend to what is being cooked. The heating element and the oven 'walls' screw together, becoming one piece that the cook lifts off of the base, exposing the food, making it oh so easy to turn over, toss, serve, whatever. I think it is a great addition to my kitchen toys. Excellent for slow cooking rubbed spare ribs in a baking bag, at about 225F, for 3 or 4 hours. I use it often for low-fat potato wedges: put raw potato wedges into a freezer bag, (*or a vacuum marinator!) with some oil/vinegar, sliced garlic and smashed rosemary, salt n pepper. Zip it up, leave it in the fridge for a day or two, then drain and spread the wedges in your NuWave oven, at highest temperature for about 20 minutes. You'll be in love! *if you use a vacuum marinator, leave the potatoes in it for not more than one hour, drain and bake.

Time saving machine
Great machine. Cooks well. Takes a little practice with different kinds of food. Overall very good. I would recommend buying this. I hardly use my oven anymore, unless I am baking a large cake. It fixes food a lot faster than a conventional oven, and I don't have to worry about something getting burned. However, if you like your food well done, like I do, you will have to turn your food over half-way through the cooking cycle.....but, I really did not find this to be a problem. Also, the shipping was fast. And, everything they said would be included, was included. I'm totally satisfied. No complaints.

The Best Tasting Food
I can't say enough good things about this NuWave Oven. Everything I have cooked in it really did come out juicy, browned perfectly and the taste is so delicious! The first time I used it was a whole chicken. Tasted better than any restaurant I've eaten at and I do mean, 'better.' The big test for me was the next day when I put a very thick ribeye steak in. I thought to myself, 'if this steak does not come out juicy and tender, the oven is getting returned.' We eat a lot of steak and a great steak was important to me. I was thrilled when the steak was done. That was the most tender and delicious steak I have ever had. I have made sandwiches, meals, snacks and on and on with this oven and I have not been disappointed. It takes a bit of learning how to cook the food but it is easy to use and it comes with a video and a great 'how-to' book. I have tried several of the recipes in the book they sent and again, I can't say enough good things about these recipes. They are so delicious! As long as you use tin foil on the racks and bottom, the clean is no problem. Update: I gave my first review three years ago. I still use this same NuWave oven. It has worked very well for me these past few years. There is one thing I should've stated before, but I did not: if you want a great steak you have to start with a good-quality piece of meat.

NuWave is cool, but...!
My wife and I purchased the digital NuWave oven with extender ring. The oven was shipped very quickly with no damage so that was great! We have cooked with it for a couple of weeks now. I like how it cooks and keeps all the heat and flavor inside. I would have gave it a higher rating but the cooking times posted on the infomercial were a bit misleading I thought. Just about everything they showed was cooked in 13 minutes. Well, it takes a little longer for everythng we have tried. Especially if you are cooking raw vegetables like carrots or potatoes with your meal. Expect more like 45 minutes before they are not too crunchy. Thick meats like large chicken breasts or pork tenderloins take longer as well, more like 30 min. You have to put foil over the top of them to keep them from scorching the outside, but the foil slows down the cook time. We still really like the cooker, I am just saying don't plan on everything taking only 13 minutes to cook. It takes longer and you will have to flip it over half way through for a better result. It does cook bacon very nicely! I still think it is a decent buy and a good product. Update September 2013: We have been using this Oven for about 2-1/2 yrs now. We still like it and use it several times a week. The dome is still in good shape with no cracks. My daughter likes heating up her chicken nuggets and french fries in it. It does that quickly without heating up the house. I cook items like hotdogs in it occasionally. We put foil down underneath the food to keep the pan cleaner. But if you are cooking something light then the fan will sometimes spin your food around while cooking. Not a problem and can be fun to watch! LOL! My wife often cooks small frozen chicken tenderloins in it with rice and gravey. It cooks that very quick and nicely! Last night I put 4 average sized frozen chicken breasts in the NuWave. I flipped the chicken every 9 minutes. I did that 3 times, so it took 27 minutes and they where nicely done. Like I say, I would have given this product 5 stars but the cooking time for thick meats takes longer than advertised. That was the main reason we bought it. I was a little disappointed about that, but we have just gotten used to it. Not a big deal, just not what we expected after watching the infomercial. I still think it is a good buy. Please remember, I am not a professional of any kind, just an average consumer. My views are individual and strictly my opinion. I can't speak for others, I am just expressing my opinion in order to try and help others with their purchase.

With the NuWave Oven, you'll never use a conventional oven again
I find the NuWave Oven extremely easy to use, clean up and best of all it cooks to perfection. I love rotisserie chicken and this is about as close as you're going to get without all of the fuss and the mess that goes along with it. I simply pull the whole chicken fryer out it's wrapper, wash with cold water, coat with olive oil, stuff an onion, garlic cloves and lemon inside, sprinkle seasoning and set the cook time and walk away. When it's done, I have a whole chicken ready to pull apart that's juicy, tender and rivals anything you're going to buy at Boston Market for a fraction of the price. I place all my vegetables in with the chicken while it's cooking and they come out tender and full of flavor. I've cooked turkey breast, chicken breast, standing rib roast (prime rib), eggs, bacon, omelets and just about anything you can think of in this oven and have never been disappointed with the results. I highly recommend this oven!

Exactly what I wanted
I'm not sure what I can say about this machine. I haven't used it that many times yet. So far, though it has done exactly what the commercials say it will do. I've made a chicken and a roast in it. I made the roast with the vegetables on the side and they came out perfect. Though, you don't put them in there at the same time as the roast, they go in about 30 mins before the roast is done, if I remember right. I plan on testing it out with different methods along with the books method. I'm looking forward to the savings that it says I will have on my electric bill. I have been using the NuWave Pics in place of my stove stop and have already seen a large drop in my electric bill. The one thing I really like about this is how easy it is to clean. I sprayed a little pam on the racks and pan and all I had to do was rinse it off practically (I don't have a dishwasher). The dome is even easier just a quick rinse and dry. I also wipe down the top of it inside and out, being careful not to get water inside the electrical parts. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Oh and did I mention that my house didn't get the least bit hot. The lid does get quite hot though so don't forget to wear oven gloves. I also got the 3" ring which I haven't used yet. But, come Thanksgiving it will be tested (and you all now how fast the holidays come around). I really believe the NuWave Oven will be well worth the money I spent.
