Good For the Price
This is not a super high quality stethoscope, but at the price I paid, I did not expect it to be. It works fairly well and it is very light weight. I actually bought it for my daughter to play with when she's playing with her doctor toys, but I have to be careful to help her use it because it is very loud whenever something bumps the diaphragm part. I'm concerned that just accidentally hitting that end against a hard surface while the ear pieces are in her ears could damage her hearing. Obviously, yelling into it could damage hearing. I think this could be used by a healthcare professional, but I'm quite sure that there are better functioning models available. I give it a full five stars because it does what it says it will do, and at the very affordable price, I think it's a good value.

Works great for learning/manual blood pressures!
For the price, this is perfect for nursing students learning, curious children, and manual at home blood pressures. As an ICU RN, I wouldn't want this for work, but if I forget my own, would still use this for stable patients. Of course, if I had a crashing patient I would want a better one that blocked out outside noise; really the only difference, besides the drum. I use this to teach my daughter about heart, lungs, and gastric sounds. Not a bad one to have and does the job ๐

Please get something else
This doesn't work. You can barely hear a heartbeat thru a skinny person's chest. Definitely can't take a blood pressure with it. I even got a replacement for this thinking the first one was defective but nope, thats how they come. Non-working. Also, there were burrs and messed up holes on the metal parts. Clearly there is no QC on the manufacturing floor. No standards.

Keep your expectations real at this price
After 10+ years as a vet tech in a speciality hospital this is not a high grade medical stethoscope BUT for the price it is a decent tool to have around especially if you know how to use one properly. The bell does have to be in exactly the right spot to hear well so if you are guessing you may get frustrated. It is not the most comfortable fit in your ears so beware. My son likes to listen to his heart when he is sick, I was able to pick up a heart mumur on my cat and we used it to find exactly where the nest of bees was in the exterior wall of our house. All in all worth every penny just keep your expectations real when comparing a $10 stethoscope to ones that are $100+

Reviewed as a PROP!
Important: I got this as a costume prop for acting! I needed a prop for a role that looked authentic. This one cost far less than any others I found. It feels in the smaller size but worked okay for me. Lightweight. Very little ability to hear any sounds once setup. I cannot speak to how it works for actual first aid use. I would imagine that one would want something with the best sound quality and durability clarity etc. for that purpose.

A low price item
You get what you pay for. Cheap and low quality, sound not clear, and a bit too tight, hurt ear a little bit

Great value and yes it really does work!
At this low price I was very skeptical but decided to try them anyhow. I was not disappointed. I just wanted something for my first aid kit because we live out in the boonies and I wanted to add this to my assessment kit, to help decide when it is time to make the long trek to a medical facility. I donโt think you are going to find a medical professional using these in most circumstances, but for the layperson who doesnโt want to spend a lot of money they will probably suit your needs. Mine came in a box, packaged in zip bags and needed assembly. It is pretty intuitive, but there were no instructions so if there were any little tricks to be missed, I probably missed them. Also, the description says there are extra ear pieces so you can choose the ones that best fit your ear canal but mine had none of these and I would not describe them as comfortable because the plastic is rather hard. I messed with them a bit, pulling the plastic closer to the end of the tubes and that helped a bit. Also, the metal part comes flat and you need to know that you should twist them into the V-shape so they go into the ear canal properly. They must be adjusted properly for comfort and effectiveness. Also, as mentioned in other reviews, the diaphragm is the type that twists, so if you canโt hear anything flip it around until it clicks; one direction gives good sound and the other doesnโt. It flips so you can using either the small side or the large one but must be in the correct position for the one you are using for good results. Quick tip: If youโve never used a stethoscope before, do yourself a favor and check out some you tube vids. There are some good ones that will tell you how to adjust it for your use and go over the basics of placement points and how the โpatientโ should breath, etc. There are a few basics you can learn in around 10 minutes that will greatly improve your experience with this tool. So, at this price it is a great value, cheap enough to give kids a real working tool for their first doctor kit, and I think most people who want this kind of extra for their home medical kit would find it satisfactory as well. And Iโm guessing the people who say it doesnโt work are people who donโt know how to properly adjust and use the tool.

Great toy/prop, but NOT suitable for medical use
Bought this for a cosplay, it was easy to assemble and looks like the real deal! That being said, it simply does not work as a real stethoscope. The ear pieces are a little tight, but you can SLOWLY AND GENTLY stretch the curved metal piece open further after assembly for a looser fit, so that's not too big of a deal. Again, I would not buy this if you plan to use it for actual medical training/work. Stick with brands like Littman if you want something that works, I know they're WAY more expensive but you get what you pay for!

Replacement stethoscope
Perfect replacement for my lost stethoscope. Glad I found it on Amazon. Now I can use my own instead of having to borrow one when in the hospital.

Don't waste your money it doesn't work
Absolutely terrible product. Doesn't read any sounds other then tapping from your finger. Wouldn't recommend waste of money.
