Clear and well-written
Written with an ear for communicating clearly and in a friendly manner. With her long association with Atkins, from the early days, she is probably the most knowledgeable exponent of this diet. They have been upgrading and improving this diet based on increasing scientific findings and this book addressed the latest findings. It's as clear a guide as one could hope for (nothing from the ketogenic crowd comes remotely close to be as well-written). The recipes are delightful and varied. If there is any problem (and this is quibbling) is the index could use some expanding. Still, this is a sensible and doable approach to healthy eating and no deprivation.

Love This Book
The foods are very tasty. This book has the best recipes. I use recipes from this book every day and also have other family members eating the food. It is also helping to get my A1C down (diabetic). LOVE THIS BOOK.

It's 2018! They've invented DIGITAL SCALES!
I have collected Atkins book as the "diet" has evolved over time. In 1970, I'll concede, it was easier to provide nutritional info and write recipes using ye olde English dry and liquid measurements. Flash forward to this book's publication date and then to this New Year, it is actually easier to weigh ingredients and calculate nutritional info using a digital scale. I bought my scale here on Amazon Here's an example. What is a half cup of broccoli? Is that a big sprig? Is it broccoli chopped and stuffed into a 1/2 Cup measuring cup? You know what's actually easier? To say 100 grams or 4 ounces of broccoli. Doesn't matter if it fits into a 1/2 Cup measuring cup. Plus, with those new-fangled digital scales you can plop a ceramic bowl on the platform and it'll set the scale to zero and then add five consecutive ingredients for a salad without using measuring cups at all. Instead hit "tare" between ingredients, resetting the weight to zero, and jot down your weights. Online programs allow you to calculate calories, net carbs, fats and protein using the WEIGHT of the ingredient which is far more ptecise than even saying 1/2 Cup of X ingredient. Sure, saying a tablespoon of salad dressing is still easy and useful but even in that case using grams or ounces is more accurate. How many people way underestimate what two tablespoons of blue cheese dressing looks like? I do. I weigh it coming out of the bottle. Almost all if not all nutrition labels use grams. If this book and all recipe books want to continue using old-fashioned measurements then please add a column noting weights. Grams/Ounces. Please. That is my first impression on the book. Now that I've vented I'll see if I learn anything new or if it is a good intro to a low carb lifestyle. If it is the latter I'll buy one for my cousin. On my brief review I can say it's prettily presented and contains some good tips so I'll give it 4 stars on faith so I can post this complaint.

Adkins eat right not less
This book is exactly what I wanted. It is not all about dieting but suggestions where one would start with atkins or keto diets. It has menus and food suggestions. They are mostly low carb. Plus a large section of recipes. I have some recipes I look forward to eating. This book is very easy to follow and recipes are tasty.

Book in excellent!
Book was received on time and it is in excellent condition. Very happy with seller and the book,itself. Recipes are very good and would appeal to anyone. The explanation of the three choices of daily carbs is really helpful when trying to figure out what is going to work for you at the present and in the future. Excellent book and service.๐

Half the Book is Info on the Diet so Great Starter Book
If you are just getting started on a low carb/low sugar lifestyle, this is a great book for you. If you already know that it works for you and why (or you don't care why), about half of this book is a waste. There are some recipes that are really good - Asparagus with Burrata Cheese and Kale Pesto is my favorite.

Good Book!
The book is awesome. It provides multiple paths to eating right and even though it has the Atkins name on it, it's not just extreme low carb. If you are on that path, there is plenty of information, but it's also has paths for those who eat a greater number of carbs. The book is well done and provides lots of helpful information Now, if only the book could make me eat right.....

Fabulous overview of the Atkins diet.
Arrived quickly. Arrived well packaged and safe. This is a great book. Iโm already about a third through it but it makes way more sense in the original Atkins Itโs written with both the medical in laymanโs terms and the pictures really do the book justice .Fabulous overview of the Atkins diet.

An excellent guide to the Atkins way of eating!
This is the first "Atkins" book I've purchased in years, and I'm so pleased I did. Firstly, Colette Heimowitz clearly explains the excellent rationale for using the Atkins approach to eating. Secondly, she has wonderful charts and images that illustrate an updated approach to choosing the low carb way of eating (and dieting, if that's your initial need), an approach that emphasizes more vegetables, and some fruits. And, finally, she has wonderful recipes, many with enticing photos. I believe that the book is suitable for first-time Atkins explorers, and long-time Atkins converts.

Very well put together with interesting facts and recipes.
The Atkins diet has moved on and improved enormously. It encourages the eating of 'good' carbs by the method of using a net carb value. A net carb is the carbs per 100g minus the fibre per 100g. It is similar to the Keto diet. The book is well structured and the recipes are interesting and innovative. Many are fairly simple but still delicious. It is a new way of eating rather than a limited diet plan. I would recommend it.
