Pretty much the best way to go about replenishing your Honeywell air purifiers on a quarterly basis.

I live in a really dusty area. Due to this, I can't let my filters go past the manufacturers recommended swap out timeframes of three months for the pre-filters and a year for the HEPA. Before finding this kit, I was buying the pre-filters and HEPA's al a carte. The pre-filters I was buying were the Honeywell Type A+ pre-filter (HRF-APP1V1) and they were a pain to work with. They're a large cut of the Type A+ filter and you have to trim it down to fit your filtration unit. They're also thinner and more translucent than the one that comes with a new air purifier. Making them annoying to install. This kit comes with four pre-filters and all three rectangular HEPA filters for the HPA3300, which is a full year of service. The pre-filters are like the ones that come with the new purifiers. They're dense and precut, which makes them easy to install. My only issue is the price on these. They're name brand and do a great job, but they are just paper and cloth in the end.

I ordered this set of filters because I wanted to maintain the performance of Honeywell HEPA air filter. These OEM filters appear to be of good quality. And I might add that the Honeywell 5300B Air Purifier has been great too. We bought it when one of us was sick with COVID, and kept using it because its so good at filtering out allergens. My only criticism is that this pre-filter is cut a little short in height. This will allow more dust to reach the inner HEPA filter cartridges--and they will filter it out. Will it actually matter for performance or life of the inner filters? Maybe a little ... but probably not a lot if you are keeping up with filter changes. Overall, both the Honeywell air purifier and these replacement filters are recommended.

After much research, I originally ordered the "best" generic version of these. Bad idea. The outer (black) macro filter was the right shape but less fine than Honeywell's. But the generic version failed because the HEPA filter did not fit snuggly, letting all sorts of particles be drawn through the admittedly very small gaps, but then we're talking REALLY small particle. The net effect was to make the room's air worse by blowing the particles around. These work perfectly. The outer filter is finer and the HEPA filters fit very snug; in fact they are a bit difficult to insert because they are so snug. The unit is once again working great. So, yes, these cost more but they are worth it. Absolutely buy these IMHO.

I once tried cheaper replacement filters, and they didn't fit properly about half the time. These filters are expensive, and everyone knows that the materials and manufacturing process is like 1/3rd of the cost they charge. But, these are high quality, and they just work. You dont have to worry about corners being cut by shell companies that hope nobody notices that their filters don't work properly before they can disappear. Definitely try not to pay full price - when they are on sale, gobble up a little supply of them. At full price the cost is kind of brutal. Anyway, unlike a lot of cheaper HEPA filters that seem to go months without discoloring much, they work very well. I work from home, and keep a Honeywell console filter in my office and another in our bedroom. The productivity boost from cleaner air that does not trigger inflammatory responses is actually tangible. The carbon in the prefilters is high quality and dense, and the HEPA filters last, for me, about 6 months as long as I keep the carbon filters replaced correctly. Four stars for high quality .Minus one star because everyone knows that Honeywell is absolutely ripping people off with the cost vs the cost of materials and manufacturing.

This kit has all of the filters necessary for a complete replacement of the air purifier filters - the prefilters and the HEPA filters. There is enough for a year.
