Beautiful and functional. Some might think it looks cheap but for the price point, I think it's a steal and a great bargain. It is particleboard with a beautiful finish, and the actual shelf poles are plastic. I appreciate that each piece is the same. All you have to know is the little stumps go on the bottom to screw the poles in, and then when you stack the shelves, the top ones have the little screw-in flat finials. No confusing instructions. No allen wrenches. The thickness of it makes it look like it's metal rods, and it feels just as sturdy. I wouldn't lean on it. I do currently have my TV on it as it is a newer model and prob weighs under 20 lbs. The weight is evenly distributed and it's holding it like a champ. I put my Wii, (yes I live in 2008 in my head) and my Playstation and VHS player underneath it for a nice cheap entertainment center that I can also store my dolls on. I love it! It makes the room look complete! Eventually I will get some shelves to put on either side and I will likely go with Furinno again. Never stop creating such affordable and shippable pieces for people with needs like me!

I needed something that was very affordable, super easy to put together, and relatively light. The mailperson delivered it to my door, which helped. I put it together in minutes and added furniture sliders to the legs, plus 4, 13x13 flexible fabric storage "drawers," which I centered in the middle. (Amazon Basics brand.) There is much display room left on both sides. I was concerned the plastic poles might look cheap, but they blend right in with the wood. Note: The "white" is not bright white. It did arrive clean, which I really appreciated after a recent terrible experience with another manufacturer/delivery. The only minor trouble was the packing material, which left some small white foam pieces to clean up...so easy! Thanks!

Packaging&Assembly: The packaging was very good for this item. It was not as bulky as I had expected and it was light enough to bring into the house myself. There was not an unnecessary amount of cardboard and the entire shelf fit into one box. The assembly was super easy! It took maybe about ten minutes. The directions were very clear and simple. All you really have to do is screw the plastic legs into place and stack the wood. No tools needed and the wood pieces are not heavy. This is a simple job if you are doing it alone. Overall Look: The wooden pieces seem to be cork board, but the finish does look appealing. The dark wood is contemporary looking and does not look cheap. Even the plastic beams look appealing. While this product is inexpensive, it is not garish. The unit is rather large and spacious for the price. It's a great option for anyone looking for cheap storage that doesn't look cheap. Quality& Value& Conclusion: This product is certainly not great quality. The wood is easily scratched by any superficial scuff revealing the cheap corkboard under the paint. This item also does not seem to be the sturdiest option if you are planning on storing valuable items. Upon moving the unit, it does swaye slightly and the plastic beams are not incredibly thick. I can see the top two tiers easily crumbling with significant weight. The bottom shelf however is relatively sturdy near the beams. My sewing machine which is about 15-20lbs fits perfectly with no evidence of cracking. I plan on using the top two shelves for more decorative items. With all of this being said, the value of this unit is unbeatable. This is a great option for 20$ that offers ample storage space and is visually appealing. I would highly recommend this item to anyone looking to clean up clutter!

Another reviewer posted how they use their's for growing seeds and that really influenced my decision to get this because I'm looking to start doing the same thing and they were right, this shelf is the perfect fit for doing it with. It's longer than what I anticipated, which makes me very happy and it's very strong. It doesn't feel flimsy at all. I don't know why I thought the poles would be metal but I did. They're just plastic. They feel cheap and weak but they're actually not. It was very easy to put together. Took me maybe 10 minutes to do with looking at the directions for just 10 seconds, really just the picture. It's definitely not hard to put together, which is also what I was looking for because I live with roommates right now and I plan on moving out on my own sometime between December-February, so I also needed something that would be relatively easy to take apart. With that being said though, I do wish the caps on the top would have been push in's instead of twisting on like a screw because I feel like that may be a struggle to get off but we'll see when I get there. Also, a part of it did come "chipped." Actually two parts but one part you can't see because when one of the poles is screwed in, it covers it. The other one is shown but it's so small I genuinely don't care. I'm not that petty. It's a $27 shelf that came with 2-day shipping. Like honestly, not worth being upset about and as you can tell from the picture, the shelf itself looks genuinely nice. The bottom two tiers have heating mats on them, along with a growing light for each quadrant, and I have some plants on top and will have more on top pretty soon. I'm just waiting for my cacti seeds to get here so I can fill those bottom two tiers up with seed containers! Really excited. It was a great buy. If the other reviewer who posted pictures of them growing their own seeds is reading this, just wanted to say thank you! Legitimately perfect shelves for doing just that and will probably end up buying more when I move out.

I bought the cherry and black which was selling for £29.99. Easy to assemble. I am a lady in her seventies and it took me about 15 minutes. Be sure to screw each tube as tightly as it will go and it will be sturdy and not wobble. It came securely and well packed tightly in a box with the parts protected by styrofoam. Not meant for very heavy weights but I store things on the bottom two shelves and put plants on the top. The only easy to assemble unit I could find that was long enough and yet not too deep. Just right for my small conservatory. Very pleased with my purchase.
