New go-to brush!
A little background to this purchase: I've always had hair that was difficult to brush, ever since I was little. Long or short, no matter what products I used, it always sounded like velcro and brushing was an absolute pain - literally and figuratively! But I thought it was an issue all people faced. I didn't realize until much, much later that it wasn't. Even when I had a bob, my hair was notorious for breaking even the most highly recommended brushes. Have I mentioned that it once took four of my friends to brush my hair in high school? Anyway, a few years ago I discovered the Tangle Teezer thanks to a few haircare blogs and forums. It was better than my older brushes and was my go-to for a couple of years until the bristles started falling off. Since then, I've bought a few off-beans versions which were cheaper but did the job almost as well. Recently, however, a YouTube video by Amber Ansah came into my recommendations about this brush, and my interest was piqued. Well, after a bit of research, and seeing there was a nice discount on a set, I took the plunge and purchased this. I used the travel brush first, as I went on a trip soon after this arrived. The brush was nice and compact, and I liked the little cover for the bristles. I would've like this on my Tangle Teezer, but ah, I digress. The travel brush was very easy to hold and certainly did its job. Now, my hair still sounds like velcro (lol) but my hair was tangle free with fewer strokes and less shedding. When I returned, I tried the regular brush out, and I have to say it does a better job than I expected and is even better than the travel brush. There were often times when my Tangle Teezer would completely miss areas or couldn't take out certain tangles and I would have to come in with a second brush to finish the job. Not so with this brush. It even detangled the dreaded area at the nape of my neck. The brushes themselves have held up well so far. The travel brush and cover stood up to being tossed around during a week-long trip where it was tossed from bag to bag and into a 50-lbs luggage for the long plane trip home. The standard brush feels very light, and I'm worried about how long it will last, but thus far it has exceeded my expectations. I'll certainly be sure to update with further developments, though. I've attached a reference picture for my hair and how long it is. I purchased the brush for thick hair because while the pic makes my hair look rather thin, it's slightly deceiving. (I promise I took care of those awful ends and last few inches!) And with my hair's reputation for bringing down even the best brushes, I wanted to give the brush for thicker hair a go after seeing what it could do. (Really, I don't know how y'all with actually thick, curly, voluminous hair do it!) Also, the colors were cuter. Yes, I'm 5. All in all, this brush gets 5 stars. Of course, updates will come if something happens to change it. But as of right now, my only regret is not buying two with that discount. *sigh*

The best brush
My sister brought me one about eight or ten years ago and I love it. I am still using mine and it is still just as good as it was when I got it. I have naturally curly hair and I have tried so many different styles. This is the only one I will use from now on. I got this I for my sister that had shoulder surgery twice on the same shoulder and couldn’t brush her hair by herself. I am happy to report that she was able to brush her hair by herself and this small simple thing that brought her so much pain is now so easy. I highly recommend this brush and I have several friends that have purchased it too!

Amazing Brush!
I love this brush. I have very thick, coarse hair and this brush glides through my hair without much effort! Detangling for twist outs isn’t a long process anymore and I don’t loose as much hair while detangling. This is the best brush I’ve ever used, especially since returning to natural 😊 My only con is that the brush feels a little awkward to hold. I sometimes have to hold it by the side but once you use it a couple of times you’ll get used to maneuvering it. My 7 year old niece (who HATES detangling) said she loves this brush too because it’s gentle on her hair. The color is beautiful as well 😊 I highly recommend this brush.

This is the best brush I have ever used...
but its a massive pain to clean. The bristles aren't the most long lasting either. Regardless, I am one or two steps away from having full dreads in my hair on a daily basis, and this brush style is the only one I've found that can go through my hair without tearing it out by the roots AND actually manages to brush my hair. If anyone on Michel Mercier's end sees this review; please, I beg you, make the bristles much stronger, and the brush easier to clean. Other than that, this is the only brush I bother to use anymore.

Brushes the surface. Dosent get through thick hair.
Ugh. This hairbrush is the reason why I had a whole Matt in the back of my head as a child. Reordered it convinced this brush would get through my hair. Definately not. Don’t buy this if you have thick hair.

Comfortable and great for getting tangles out
My wife and oldest daughter have super thick, naturally curly hair and all of the other brushes we've tried have always pulled and looked absolutely miserable for them to use. It started with one of these as a Christmas present. Then I got this set for them and this is all I'm allowed to buy for them any more. These brushes come in different grades that are specific to hair types. We also own the bush set for thin hair because our two younger daughters have very thin, fragile hair. They absolutely do the job they're meant to do. The brushes appear to be color coded according to what kind of hair they're meant to be used with. They're comfortable enough for my wife or daughter to use with their small hands, or me to use on the younger girls with my big ole bear paws. Our oldest brush is more than 5 years old and going strong. We will most likely continue to buy these.

I was sceptical, it's a great brush except for causing static.
I am half Asian and have long thick hair. I was sceptical reading the reviews, but I can attest that this brush does detangle quickly and with minimal hair loss. When brushing my dry hair however, it turns terribly static. That's the only downside so far. I have a daughter with thick curls, I am using a Denman brush on her hair (best brush for curly, thick hair and sculpting her curls) but might test how this brush performs.

Not too mangled for Michael!
Afro-American 4C Hair type. I have been tender headed all my life. This is the first product that I have used where there is no pulling, no popping, no tangling up in the brush. I absolutely love this brush. Where have you been for all of my fifty five years of life.

Gran cepillo
El mejor cepillo. No nudos y es muy practico. La versión chica es ideal para viajar. Lo volvería a comprar.

Best brush for thick hair !!!
I had originally bought one of these brushes over 5 years ago and it was all taped up since I wasn’t able to find it in stores at all. Yes it’s pricey for feta going brush but WORTH IT!!!! No pain. D’étranglés quickly. Love it
