Good product
The bottom of the pot is very sturdy glass - I bumped it many times against the sink, however, the lip at the top is quite fragile. The lip bumped against a ceramic mug - luckily over the sink - and broke into a hundred tiny pieces.

excellent microwaveable 1 liter coffee server
I selected this particular glass coffee server (Hario V60 Glass Coffee Server, 1000ml, Black) because it was advertised as being one liter, it had no metal parts, it was advertised as being microwave-able and it was short enough (6.85"W x 5.55"H) to fit inside my small microwave oven. Although most - if not all - such coffee servers are made of borosilicate-type glass (like pyrex-branded glass) most suggest not putting the coffee server inside a microwave oven; So this one was special in that regard. I have been using it for a few days now and it is perfect for my use case (simply boiling water.) The only downside so far is that this coffee server was made in Japan and the instructions are totally in Japanese (a combination of hiragana, katakana and kanji.) And the several illustrations of “don’t do this” are scaring me because i do not know what the six drawings with the big X’s on them are meant to prohibit. (There is a QR code on the front of the instructions and it does lead to English words but nothing there is useful. Those English words deal with things like “Where should i put the tea leaves?” and nothing that would relate to the giant X’s on the diagrams.) But - bottom line - it holds a full liter of water, it pours drip-free and it works perfectly for my purposes. i’m just fearful of the unknown giant X’s

Use it Daily
Bought this to replace my boyfriend's beaker that he was using for making coffee, and its been used daily since (probably close to 6 months at this point). The pour over filter fits nicely on the opening, and its not too wide where I'm not able to read the scale underneath. The handle and lid are a nice touch over the beaker that was previously being used, and allow me to carry the coffee and an empty cup in one hand. It also holds enough coffee for multiple glasses. I have used it for making iced coffee, but I normally will grab a big mason jar as I don't want to risk shocking the glass and breaking it....

KEEPING COFFEE AND GLASS SERVER HOT
I've been using the Hario technique for over 4 years now. It's a simple perfect brewing system. I have 2 glass coffee servers a 700 ml and 1000ml, 2 different size drippers, and a gooseneck kettle.. Several reviewers have asked about the possibility of using a tea warmer or other small flame for the remaining coffee left in the glass server. All answers seem to discourage this. I just want to say that I do leave my glass server on top of a VERY LOW flame about the size of a candle. I do this everyday. I leave it on a tiny burner long enough to sit and enjoy my first cup, and then I retrieve the rest for my second. After 4 years, no broken glass, and a hot, fine tasting 2nd cup. Just sayin.

Review: Hario V60 Glass Coffee Server, 1000ml, Black
Review: Hario V60 Glass Coffee Server, 1000ml, Black as a replacement for the OXO Good Grips 32 Ounce Cold Brew Coffee Maker carafe. When my original carafe didn't rebound from the floor as I had hoped, after I dropped it, I decided it was most likely time to find a replacement. This item was exactly what I was looking for. Not only was it cheaper than an original replacement, it is just a far superior product. It fits under the reservoir perfectly, almost as if it were made specifically for my OXO cold brew unit. My only complaint is that the instruction pamphlet was in Japanese. I guess that would not be an issue for those folks that can read Japanese. Overall, if a replacement is needed for your OXO unit this is the one to buy. Only 4 stars because no one is perfect, but this comes close.

This plus a Hario Switch 03 Fits in a Moccamaster
Removed the Moccamaster's horizontal support arm with a torx driver and stacked the Hario Switch 03 on this carafe on the maker's hot plate. Removes a lot of Moccamaster black plastic from the water path. The carafe bottom fits the Moccamaster's hot plate perfectly.

Very large and durable.
A large brewer for when you make a lot of pourover. I find that I rarely make enough in one go to justify such a large carafe but it's very sturdy and easy to clean so I'll keep using it as long as it lasts. Been great for the few brunch parties where I made a large batch of cold brew.

Pahalı, güzel
Güzel fakat borosilikat benzeri ince bir camdan yapılmış, güven vermiyor. Yine de evde kahve yapmayı sevdiğim ve uygun bir sürahi arayışında olduğum için aldım.

Super Glass pot!
We use pots of this style for making tea because they are made of glass. We had one prior to this one made by some other company, unknown, and it wasn’t as well made as this one. I don’t know what the reviews that say it is not Japanese quality, because I think it is! And yes, it is made of glass! If you are very clumsy and thwack it hard on something it will break! But we just love glass for making tea, so we love this pot and it seems quite sturdy for a glass pot and the plastic lid is designed well and the handle feels good and steady to pick it up. It was worth the price to us.

No waste or faffy cleaning
Use it everyday, just the right size for two mugs of coffee. Pours well, no spillage, no waste and filters go in compost. Makes great coffee and no mega plastic and electrics to go in landfill from an expensive electric coffee maker. No faffing cleaning cafetière plungers. Haven’t destroyed it in the dishwasher. Just wish the filters were cheaper.
