how does one get it to lock again? unlocks fine, but then won't lock again, any suggestions?

We’re experiencing the same issue. We got two. One works just fine but the other won’t lock back.

The app is required to set up the fingerprints (up to 15 sets) of your padlock. After you set up the fingerprints, you can open the lock with your registered fingers without the app. You may use the app to open the lock too.

Hello, you need to wipe the sweat off your fingers before use.

Does the application have a function that'll disengage the lock at a certain time?

No. You cannot set a time to unlock the padlock. But you can can share this padlock with authorized users.
