Perfect!
I was worried about how well it would work, but it went flawlessly. The old key fit perfectly into the new fob and you can't even tell it was replaced. It's like the brand new one that came with the car. Definitely recommend!!

2011 Honda Pilot Key fix
Quick solution to what seems like a common sense option for Honda to simply sell the key casing instead of requiring a new laser cut key. The casing appears to be of good quality but it’s also replacing one that’s over 5 years old and so expect the plastic to ultimately become brittle but for now it will do its job and was easy to install with provided hardware and screwdriver. I do notice one side of the casing did not sit flush but it’s good enough to get the job done.

Works perfect for a 2009 honda accord coupe
I had been looking for a replacement for a while. Had my key taped together... Found this. It's perfect. I had a little trouble puttting it together at first but realized that there is a slight slope of the metal key and it fits into the little black envelope piece in a specific direction, If it is wrong it will leave a lip and won't fit into the main body. Once I figured that out - it was easy. I wish I found it sooner. Worked perfectly for a 2009 honda accord coupe.

Seems to hold up for a few years before cracking.
Our Honda key fob got broken, and getting a new one at the dealership was crazy expensive. This cover set was a perfect fit for the original fob's internal unit and for the price, they've been great. After a few years, the point of connection where the screw connects seems to wear out and breaks. But these are good replacements for way less money. To assemble them, it's really simple, you put the original fob internals in the case, slide the key piece on, click the sides together, and screw in the set screw. They look exactly like the original, minus the "H" logo, and provide what you'd expect.

Fits 2012 Honda Accord and easy to install
Used it for my 2012 Honda Accord keys. Easy and simple. Fits great. Highly recommend if your keys are falling apart like mine were.

Get in the groove.
As with many products, the instructions leave much to be desired. I am educated and relatively handy, but my eyesight isn’t what it used to be. The entire product is a deep black, so that makes things a little more challenging. I could not for the life of me get it together, until… I put a flashlight on a stand in addition to the overhead lights and saw there was a GROOVE. When you have the collar on the key, you have to slide the collar into the grooves of the casing which allows it to rest into its’ intended place then everything fits in and snaps together as it should. The tiny screw goes in place to hold it all together and the renewed key back onto my key ring. Finally. I could do a dozen more easily just knowing that one caveat that there is a groove that helps hold the key steady.

Appear to be wife proof
I own a 8th generation Accord that I drove for 10 years with the same key/fob assembly. I had let my wife start using this car and within a year she had just destroyed both of key/fobs that I had for it, one of them was still new. These replacement shell cases are just what I needed, since trying to repair the original oem Honda shell cases wasn't working well. So far, these have withstood the rage of wifey, so they must be pretty tough. They are made well and feel solid. Their design is an improvement over the oem Honda shell cases since they provide more material where its needed most; right where the metal key protrudes from the body of the case at.

Works- be careful or risk breaking it
Ok, so just did the swap and I broke one of the two. I had read the top review when I ordered it a few days ago. Today before installing it, I watched a YouTube video. The YouTube video has no warnings and the Amazon review has one, but I didn’t quite get it. *****IMPORTANT******* The key ( no pun intended) is that once you slide the new mini sleeve over the key you need to SLIDE the combined unit into the fob base. Do NOT place it in and push down as it will break. There are cutouts on the ENDS of the new sleeve that SLIDE and align into the key fob base. Also, make sure the shape is aligned narrow end to narrow end and wider end to wider end. If you don’t do this the fob doesn’t snap together well on one side, and there will be a slight gap. That gap means it’s not installed correctly and will fail somewhat quickly. The YouTube video titled “ Honda Key replacement. Renew Key Fob. Easy Fast Cheap” does it incorrectly and you don’t notice that he actually cuts away from the shot when trying to close the fob. He didn’t do the SLIDE the combo into the fob. If you don’t SLIDE the combo in it will break. If installed correctly the fob should snap closed relatively easily and not require being forced. The seam will then be even all the way around the key fob. Reminder- make sure to transfer the rfid chip from the old fob to the new fob. Still glad I bought it and was able to fix a broken key/fob.

Merveilleux.

It’s like a brand new key!
Super affordable option for fixing a loose or broken key. It comes with the screwdriver necessary for the screw, so you don’t need anything else to get the job done. Seems like good quality plastic! Fit a 2009 Honda civic key.
