Samsung USB to 21Pin Data Cable for Galaxy S5 and Note 3 N9000, White (Non-Retail Packaging)

I don't normally take the time to leave reviews on products I purchase here but am making an exception in this case. I bought two of these cables for my Galaxy S5. The first one worked fine and the second one was defective. My laptop would not recognize my phone and Windows informed me the last USB I plugged into the device was malfunctioning. I contacted the company and they sent me a replacement cable. It arrived in faster time than my original order took that was placed through Amazon! All they asked was that I return the defective cable so that they could test it and the defective cable was mailed to them today. Both cables work flawlessly! So I am giving a big "Thumbs Up!" to the seller! Don't know why some reviewers say this will not work with the Galaxy S5. It most certainly does work with the S5. The cable is a tight fit, as is the OEM cable that I received with my phone. I notice that you almost have to be perfectly aligned with any cable you use on the Galaxy S5 and have to insert it straight in and not at an angle. It is not as forgiving as the mini cables on other phones. Hope this review helps those of you who may be undecided. I recommend these cables and I highly recommend this seller!

Had this cord for years with no issues. Great quality. Failed about 5 years in which I consider great for a charging cord. Fit great and cord length was perfect for what I needed. Most phones are type-C now, but if you need an older model cord this one is good.

Almost indistinguishable from the cord that came stock with the phone. I bough 3 of them as replacements since my brother has ruined 2 of his cords already (He claims he doesn't sleep on it, yet the plugin is next to his bed, almost on it, and his cord is flattened in the middle of the bed.) But, these seem to be durable and perfect. Great quality, and at a good cost. Unfortunately, I assumed the cord came with the power box, so I had to steal one from a friend, since my brother lost his box. So know before you buy, THIS IS ONLY THE CHARGING CABLE. I thought this would have been a cute, sassy, and smart stocking stuffer for someone with an s5, who is prone to ruining cords (my brother). So when you think about buying cords like this, don't be afraid to buy a few, and never have to worry about it again. They've lasted me a while and have withstood lots of travel, throwing around, and sleeping on.

Another Amazon product problem. The number of defective Amazon products I've bought in the past two years that got good reviews, keeps growing. No time to list them all. ... But regarding this product, as other Amazon user's noted, the connection on the phone end is poor quality and in my case, in 3 weeks it developed an intermittent connection. The only way it charges is if I fiddle with bending the wire into place til it connects. No time for this. I threw it away and ordered 2 more!? Why? Because it's has the least problems of the I looked up reviews for. All Samsung data cables on Amazon list up to 3 problems. I. Defective connection on phone end of wire that breaks within a short time. 2. Getting the wrong length cable. 3.Getting an error message stating that it.s a slow cable "Your device will charge faster if... " I ordered 2 more because this particular product has only one problem.... The connection. So I decided to stock up. When one goes bad, trash it and grab another one. Simple workaround, until someone makes a quality cable with no problems. Update: I ordered more and the next one I tried developed the intermittent connection after 2 days of use. Very poor product. How did this product get 4 stars?!

Update: I received my replacement cord on 3/6/17 and it plugged into the phone perfectly! Charging fast again! I am very happy with the exchange process through Amazon and Samsung. I would suggest if you are looking for a replacement/extra cord for your Samsung Galaxy S5, verify the seller is Samsung (and probably fulfilled through Amazon.) That way, you are getting the real product and if something goes wrong, they have the 1 year warranty. Previous review: The cord I received had did not fit the phone and was completely useless. The inside of the connector was too thick to fit over the contacts inside the phone. I contacted Amazon and was directed to the manufacturer for the one year warranty that was provided with my purchase. When I spoke with the representative at Samsung, they handled the complaint quickly and at this time (3/1/17) I'm waiting for the replacement. After receiving the replacement, I will update my review.
