About 2 years ago I finally learned how to make a great pie crust (I like the crust better than the filling:). And I used a pastry blender to make it. I noticed recently that one of the 'blades' was loose so I looked for a replacement and after reading MANY reviews settled on this one. OMGoodness - now that I've received it I can't believe how much easier/faster crust making has become. This is one sturdy piece of equipment that easily and forcefully cuts through the butter. I'm thinking of buying a couple as gifts for family members who also love to bake.

If someone told me I would be writing a review for a pastry blender in high school...well, there might have been a dust up...a donny brook...or whatever. But here I am, some years later, loving this pastry blender...great design, well built and dishwasher friendly. Perhaps there are others as good, but you will have no regrets with this one.

This pastry cutter is the best one I have ever used. It is very sturdy, I use it all of the time for pies, biscuits. And it is easy to clean, just throw it in the dishwasher and that is it!

Have only used this on one occasion to make shortbread cookie dough, and it was still a LOT of work to cut in the butter. However, in all fairness, although the butter had been out of the frig and softened quite a bit, it was probably not at room temperature. So that might be user error instead of product failure!

Solid blender. Only criticism is the handle a bit shy for a man's larger hand.

This pastry blender is TINY! Although the product dimensions were clearly written on the seller's description, I should have held my hand to a ruler. I have a nice Pampered Chef blender, and this one is quite a lot smaller. This will be OK for tiny jobs, but I recommend you spend a little more money and get a Pampered Chef.

worked well, make sure you wash it thoroughly before using it, I rinsed it the first time and wiped it with a paper towel and metal color coloring appeared on the paper towel when I dried the cutters/blades. So I rinsed and repeated for 20-30 mins until I saw my paper towel was clean when wiping it down.

Low cost, low quality cutter. Handle construction is pretty flimsy. Next time I will pay more.
