Would there be any problem connecting to my existing audiolab 8000dac?

You require a amplifier (Transport, dac. .amplifier) I don’t no what a aeperaye dac is.

I have an arcam avr250 ... but i can’t seem to get any sound through the digital connection, has anyone got any ideas on how to sort this?

Go to E-16 page that covers advanced settings for your Arcam amp which shows where optical and coaxial digital inputs are allocated and how to change them. Google amp make / model to get pdf version of the instruction manual.

Hi, no because it's not a cd player, it's a cd transport. Difference is there is no internal dac. Therefore there's no rca output. The outputs are digital - coax and optical - intended to connect to an external dac. If your amp has digital inputs then it has a dac and you could use it. If not then you'd need a dac. Alternative is choose a cd player.
