The third installment in the national best-selling, coming-of-age series by retired Navy SEAL and New York Times #1 best-selling author, Jocko Willink! Being a kid today isn't easy! Way of the Warrior Kid gives children the tools to overcome life's challenges with a fun and inspiring story any child can relate to! HELPS KIDS become stronger, smarter, faster, and healthier MOTIVATES KIDS to pursue positive solutions to the challenges they face INSPIRES KIDS to be the best they can be at school, at home, and wherever their interests take them TEACHES KIDS the value of exercise, studying, eating healthy, saving their money and being a role model for others POSITIVE MESSAGE inspired by the lessons author Jocko Willink learned during his 20 years in the Navy SEALS The Way of the Warrior Kid series follows the summertime adventures of Marc, a young boy that faces the same tough challenges every kid faces: bullies, difficulty at school, insecurities, fears and more. Luckily, while every summer (and every book in the series) brings Marc new challenges, it also brings visits from Marc's Navy SEAL uncle Jake. And Jake just might be able to teach Marc how turn his problems into opportunities. Way of the Warrior Kid 3: Where there's a Will... Marc shouldn't have a single complaint as he finishes seventh grade. He's done really well in his classes, his friends Kenny and Nathan have joined him at jiu-jitsu, and most important, he's been staying on the Warrior Kid path. There's just one problem and that problem is named Danny Rhinehart. It seems like every thing Marc does, Danny does better. Danny runs faster, can do more pull-ups, has jiu-jitsu moves that Marc can't solve, and is even awesome in school. On top of all that, Danny is too nice--he smiles at everything and it drives Marc CRAZY. Marc doesn't know what to do. Luckily, there is some good news: Marc's Navy SEAL Uncle Jake is back to visit for the summer. Maybe Uncle Jake can help Marc learn to handle a kid like Danny--a kid who is good at everything! But it won t be easy. Marc will have to work hard, train hard, and learn to deal with a brand new kind of problem: his own ego. It's going to be a tough summer, but where there's a will, there's a way... Our now 12 yo has been reading this and referencing it since he was 10
My son loved this book and has read it several times. He wakes up Every day and exercises, and his drive is more focused as a result of taking and practicing the advice offered in this excellent book. He is now 12 but we got it for him when he was 10. He is literally ripped and often references some of the tenets within the book. Very glad we got this one by Jocko Willink

Growth and Maturity in the right direction
After much awaited anticipation, my son final got this third installment of series after preordering it thru Amazon. My 8-year old son and I LOVED the first two books. They were FILLED with great examples that my son could use and apply to his own life. My son felt that he could deeply relate to the fears and trials that Marc (the main character) speaks of throughout the books. Even though my son doesnโt have an Uncle Jake by his side, he at least has these books to recall those important lessons and rules. This third installment doesnโt disappoint. My son just mentioned that this book is his favorite of the series. I think that each book has their unique teachings and can be beneficial for different phases of a young boyโs life. Enjoy this book because my boy did. I am SO happy that I have found these books for my son. It has brought us much closer together. We are learning how to defeat fears and challenges together. This is so important for a child, yet alone a boy.

Goos story with a positive message
My homeschooled 10 yr old was hesitant initially. I encouraged him to begin reading book 1. Next thing I knew he was into book 2 and then done with book 3. He understood the stories and the lessons. I asked him to write a book report on the first book. The next day he gave me a 3 page book report. Followed up with reports on books 2 and 3. He's not an athlete, no combat mindset, yet he read all 3 books, enjoyed them, and understood them enough to write a report on them. Thank you for teaching my son good lessons, Jocko.
