Eight years old and still works better than the bluetooth connection in my car.
Originally purchased in 2017 so this review is extremely overdue. Last house had a huge deck and I had some outdoor speakers and an aging audio receiver sitting around. I made a weatherproof box for the receiver, hooked up the speakers but didn't have a way to get audio to it except to use RCA cables and plug directly into a phone/iPad/iPod, etc. Bought this, connected it via RCA to the receiver and started pairing devices. The first winter I was a good homeowner and put my toys away. After that I stopped taking care of things and left the deck box out year-round. Essentially, this Bluetooth adapter has been sitting outside in a weatherproof deck box since 2018. Fast forward seven (7) years and I don't have a need for it outside anymore but I do have a need indoors. It for sure hasn't been used since 2023. Today I connected it to my computer speakers, plugged it in and heard the familiar power noise. Connected my phone, which has never been used with it, and it works just as good as it always has. Long story, I've had this thing for about eight (8) years, had zero issues, and it still works amazing. It isn't a complicated device. RCA cords or a 3.5mm cable out to your speakers/receiver, push the button on top, and connect your Bluetooth device. You know how the rest works after that. I can't speak on durability if it were to be dropped or get wet but I can say that I haven't been disappointed with it in all the time I've owned it. Sound quality is good. Bluetooth has a good range on it.

Exceptional Performance and Very Strong Signal
The unit was easy to set up. Following the enclosed instructions, I simply plugged it in to a power outlet, attached it to the 3.5 mm auxiliary port of my Bose Wave Radio, and identified and paired it immediately with my Kindle HDX. To test out the quality and range of the Bluetooth signal, I began listening to an Audible audio book, then switched to Prime Music. Later, I listened to some of my favorite radio shows on Tune-In. No drop-outs. No hiss. No static. Everything was clear and perfect. I highly recommend this product. In addition to trying the Logitech Bluetooth Audio Adapter with my Bose radio, I also plugged the Logitech into a set of powered Yamaha speakers plus sub-woofer (Model YST-MS50, manufactured in 1998) that I had stored in the basement and had not used for about 10 years. As stated on the box, the Logitech will work directly with powered speakers as long as the speakers have a 3.5 mm auxiliary input. No need to hook them up to a PC or tuner. Imagine my amazement when beautiful, full sound from some music on my Kindle passed through the Logitech Bluetooth and emerged from these old Yamaha speakers. Believe me, I had given up on these speakers! I also discovered the Logitech Bluetooth Audio Adapter has good, solid range-- definitely in excess of 30 feet. To see about the signal strength, I tested the Bluetooth Adapter in an old Queen Anne style house, built around 1910, with thick plaster and lathe walls, leaded glass windows, and thick doors that inhibit Bluetooth signals. The signal from other Bluetooth devices that I own (from Belkin and Monoprice, which are otherwise good units) barely reaches 18 feet from the third floor to the second in this house. With the Logitech Bluetooth Adapter, no signal problem! As a test, I set up my Kindle HDX on my desk on the third floor, playing an Audible Book and broadcasting through Bluetooth. I got a clear Bluetooth signal through my Bose radio, downstairs at 32 feet away. I want to emphasize that it was not "line of sight." The radio was down the stairs, through the second floor hallway, and all the way through two closed doors to the front of the house and into another room!

Logitech BT adapter revives older powered speakers to work anywhere once again
Logitech BT adapter is applied to older powered speakers with no builtin bluetooth capability. No issues on bluetooth connectivity with iphone 13 on finding the BT adapter. This adapter works great with the powered speakers-audio is a good as wired connection. This adapter has allowed older speakers to work once again and to be placed anywhere within bluetooth range. Range is very good-depending on obstructions-noted. No issues with any of Logitech accessories with a computer--all work very well for their function.

Put it through its paces when you get it to make sure it will last.
I am on unit number 2. As soon as it arrived I hooked it up, it was easy and only took a few minutes to install. I paired it with my laptop and was able to play all of the mp3's over my big home stereo and it sounded great for all of 12 minutes then the unit ceased to function which required me to send it back to Amazon for another replacement. Amazon had sent a replacement within a couple of days and upon receipt of the new one I hooked it up immediately. So for four days whenever I was away from home I just set it on a loop and the stereo played and the unit worked without failure. I suppose there is about forty hours on the new one but the failure of the first one is still fresh in my mind. This unit is is multiple branded and is sold under more than the Logitech name. I just hope it lasts as I use it a lot listening to the 80's and 90's headbanging bands. If it fails I will replace it with another brand hoping my luck will change. Update: 9-11-2016: I had to give this Bluetooth adapter another star. Since I have gotten this Logitech Bluetooth adapter I have put a real beating on it. It has been used daily for extended periods of time. When used in conjunction with the Actiontec Screen Beam Mini2 projected to the 50" plasma TV and the big home stereo it turns into a concert. It is surely amazing when they are working together, just sitting back and enjoying the show. WOW, Having a computer with Bluetooth and WIDI is sure a convenience, no wires and having to move it just to connect to the TV or bigger monitor like the old one.

Makes automating connection of the Amazon Echo to my Home Theater Receiver a breeze!
This worked excellent for connecting my Amazon Echo to my home reciever. A great feature of this device for a use case such as connecting the Amazon Echo is that when it receives power, this device will automatically connect to the last paired device if possible. Which means that if the bluetooth is enabled on your Echo then this device will automatically connect. So what I did to make my connection with Alexa fully automated is to use an Wifi (also worked well with Z-Wave) power outlet that integrates with the Echo too! Then you can tell Alexa to turn on the outlet, and voila it will automatically connect to the Echo when it's powered on. For my final setup -- after I figured this all out -- I have a home automation hub (Raspberry Pi running HomeAssistant) that controls the outlet and the my Home Theater Receiver in combination with my Harmony Hub. So the entire process is easily automated. When I ask Alexa to "Turn on the Speakers", she communicates with HomeAssistant using the Emulated Hue capability to trigger an automation. That automation uses the Harmony Hub to turn on my receiver to the correct input that this bluetooth adapter is connected to. Then it turns on the outlet device (Z-Wave or Wifi; both work well) which supplies power to this Logitech bluetooth adapter . . . which in turn automatically connects to the Echo because I leave the bluetooth on all the time on the Echo. Then I ask Alex to do anything such as play some Jazz or Classical, or play my Flash Briefing and I hear it loud and clear through my 7.1 surround sound system. Whenever I want to have the Echo work locally for basic commands in the Kitchen nearby the Home Theater, I just ask Alexa to "Turn off the Speakers", and she turns that same item off in HomeAssistant (via Emulated Hue). The automation then powers off the receiver via the Harmony Hub, and the outlet plug which thereby disconnects the bluetooth connection. And then Alexa quickly returns to work with her own internal speaker again. Everything is automated and hands free, and works extremely well when cleaning the dishes and my hands are wet and/or I just don't want to physically switch all the equipment on manually!

Exceeded my expectations
I've never had a Bluetooth device be this easy to set up. It was literally as simple as plugging in the power cable, then the speaker cable and then tapping the pair button. It showed up instantly, properly labeled, and all it took to connect was just tapping the name. It comes with a cable that let's you take the devices stereo connection and make it an aux cable output or an aux input to a stereo wire output. It's crazy easy to work and the quality is fantastic. If you are like me trying to take an OLD wired speaker from 20 years ago and find a new use for it, this will work.

A decent product, though needs tweaks to work with some machines
I love this product at the first glance. It is stylish, small and easy to setup. I had no problem using it with my cell phone (Moto G). All I did was one-clicking the button on its top and it became visible and pair-able on the phone. However, for my computer, a four-year-old laptop running Win7 with an USB Bluetooth adapter, this audio adapter could only be paired but was not able to be connected successfully as the default playback device. It seemed to me that the USB adapter driver was not up-to-date or having limited functionality, so I checked the chipset of the USB adaptor (in Win7 this can be done by Start->Computer(right-click)->Manage->Device Manager and see the description of the Bluetooth adapter). It said "Broadcom BCM20702 Bluetooth 4.0 USB Device." I went to Broadcom's website [...] to download the latest driver. Everything works great after the new driver installed (the installation process might take some time so be patient). The sound quality is acceptable. The wireless connection is smooth and has no delay. No glitches so far has been noticed while used normally for 3 days (I used it with a distance of 10 feet to the signal source). Some glitches in sound happened when I tried using my laptop to connect and send music signal to the the adapter while the adapter was also receiving and playing music from my cell phone. In other words, I tried to jam myself and I succeeded :P. Since it can only receive signal from one source at a time, do not do such a silly thing like I did if you would like to have a good music experience with this product. Although I had the aforementioned connection problem using the this product, it should not be blamed for the problem. I am so far very satisfied with this product.

Worth the extra cost compared to similar devices! One of the few with RCA outputs...
UPDATE: It would appear that my review was based on the device I tested it with, a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Other devices appear to auto-connect and auto-play, which would annoy the living snot out of me... I'm changing my review to three stars to reflect it as such, please ignore the comments about Auto-connect & Auto-play. I'm leaving them in for historical sake & completeness of the original review. TL;DR: Fantastic bluetooth adapter for non-bluetooth powered speakers or receivers. Detail: I'm a very picky person when it comes to technology. (Some might call me a technology snob and I would not disagree with them...) This also means I'm very demanding of the electronics purchases I make. For me to give out a five star review for a piece of electronics, it mean's it's pretty darn good. Setup - Dead simple. Plug in the power cord (about approximately 4 feet of wire on the adapter) and plug in the included cable (a RCA to 3.5mm cable). Pairing - Pairing the phone is easy and intuitive. Press the button on the top of the adapter and you'll hear a beep over the speakers and the blue light on the bottom of the adapter will blink. On you device, use the bluetooth settings to find and pair to the adapter. It shows up as "Logitech BT Adapter" in your list. Once paired, you'll get a quick beep-beep to indicate successful pairing. Sound - It's Bluetooth 3.0. You're probably streaming some 192kbps stream from one of the many available sources on the interwebs... It's not going to sound "amazing", but it's very clear and there is no tinny noise that can accompany poor bluetooth protocol implementations. Most people will consider the sound "amazing", but I'm definitely too much of an audio-snob to classify it as such. We'll call it "very good". ;o) Bluetooth Range: I have this setup in the living room and kitchen area on my house. Line of sight is probably about 30-35 feet if I stand as far away as possible. With line of sight, you'll get perfect sound. Stick it in your pocket or let things get between you and the receiver once you go beyond 20 feet and you're asking for trouble. Now, be aware that this is usually due to the device you are TRANSMITTING from, and not the receiver. Modern phones do have strong bluetooth strength since they expect to be transmitting to close by devices (headset, car stereo, etc.) I tested this with a Note 3. Features Not Mentioned: NO AUTO-CONNECT!!! Thank you Logitech! Now, this is personal preference, but I DO NOT want my phone to connect with the adapter every time I am in range. I like that I need to select it from the Bluetooth menu to get it to reconnect. It lets ME control the connection. Don't try to figure out what I want... let me decide. NO AUTO PLAY: Now, this may be specific to my phone & the adapter, but I REALLY like that even once i connect to the adapter, it doesn't try to auto-play the last paused track or audiobook I was listening to. It allows me to start it when I'm ready. This is personal preference and I do not know how this works with iOS devices, as it may have different behavior. At least on Android, it meets my preferred implementation. RCA outputs: Many of the bluetooth adapters you'll find on Amazon are only 3.5mm output to whatever device (speakers or receiver) you are connecting to. Logitech gives you a choice, either RCA or 3.5mm. This is a big detail and worth the extra cost in my opinion. For many it will not matter, but if you're connecting to a receiver, this is the preferred way to go. I make my own RCA cables, so I used that to connect it to an input on the Onkyo TX-NR616 receiver.

Recomendado Totalmente!!

Works great (maybe too great!)
This works perfectly for me. Almost to good. Distance -- it is blue tooth and I think that I've had other devices that have a longer range, but honestly i think it hits the rated distance fine. Sound quality -- it sounds fine and is very stable. That said, we don't use this to rock the house, but believe I'm also fairly discriminating, so if it sounded bad, I would notice it. East of use -- super easy to connect, just press the button. Stability -- I purchased this because Air Play would loose the signal regularly. I don't think this is so much Air Play's fault as I've got lots of wireless networks around me. But either way, Air Play was a bit of a pain Connection -- this is the only "down" side. When the device is on, my phone always automatically connects. On one hand, this is perfect when I'm listening to music. But when I'm not, it connects anyway and all my phone noises then go through the stereo. So I have to unplug and plug in to turn it off (I don't want to turn off BT on my phone) I have had this for quite some before writing the review.
