LOVE THIS RESIN! Iโve bought over 20+ gallons and counting! Beautiful clarity and rock solid cure
Firstly, I am not new to resin. I have tried almost every brand out there and am very thrilled to have landed on Naked Fusion. I have been truly impressed with their resin products. I have purchased their resin probably at least 20 to 30 times, Iโve lost count. If you havenโt tried it, I highly recommend trying it..you wonโt be disappointed. I outlined some of my process when pouring this resin that is good to know. Especially if you are making items to sell. Very worth it for me to get a high quality resin. I feel the price for Naked Fusion is very reasonable for such high quality resin. Even for a hobbyist I would recommend going for the higher quality product. Itโs worth every penny and I like taking advantage and stocking up when they have coupons and promotions too. I make anything from coasters, trays and serving boards and smaller format river tables. So I mix my pours with live edge wood, pigments and dried and silk flowers. Hereโs some of my experiences to share: 1. Working with correct temperatures for your pour is so important no matter what brand of epoxy you are using. With Naked Fusion they give very specific instructions on warming your resin in a water bath to get it up to the correct temp. That is a huge key for success! When it is cold, I keep a temperature gun on hand so I can check your temperatures for accuracy. I do this religiously to make sure my viscosity is just right when pouring. Resin can even be cold in a 70 degree room so I still warm it up before mixing. I usually work in about a 70 degrees room temp and maintain the temp during the whole curing process. 2. Having a resin that cures HARD is a must for me. I am very patient and precise with my measuring and mixing and always very pleased with how durable and hard it cures. The scratch resistance and heat resistance is very IMPRESSIVE too, a big benefit for my wood items and wearable items. I have found a lot of other resin brands out here donโt cure as hard and may look good but they are a little soft. Thatโs a no go for me.. another resin I am hooked on Naked Fusion. 3. I have heard some people complain about bubbles in reviews but I think it is because they donโt warm the resin. Once it is at a good temperature the bubbles come right out with a heat gun with no problem. It is actually quite EASY, I have been able to achieve crystal clear results time after time. Some pours shallow and some deeper poured in layers, all turned out awesome! This is another huge deal for me, clear pours are a must. I am patient and babysit my pours for a little while and use the heat gun to make sure all the bubbles are gone. I think beginners expect to use heat only once but that is not the case with resin in general. Air releases for a little while after a pour and you need to watch it during the gel phase, I think the biggest mistake a beginner makes is to only use the heat gun once and think itโs done. This is a craft and think its important put your attention on your pieces, put some love in!! Once you get the hang of it, it is so easy. 4. I originally started using Naked Fusion for coating wood on my projects and making ocean wave cutting boards. It is fantastic for wood projects! The colors and grain of the wood look gorgeous with the High shine and reflective. I use the heat gun to create the wave effects with clear and white pigments. LOVE how it looks for ocean froth. I always precoat my wood with a thin layer to seal it. Let it set up for at least 8 hours then start the wave process in layers. Sometimes I make several boards at once, I have plenty of working time to create the wave effects. 5. I recently added flower preservation to my list of projects. It seems to be a big trend in the resin world. There seems to be a lot demand for flower preservation. So, I initially watched tons of videos to find out the best techniques out there. I have started with small compressed dried flowers and tried my first large flower pieces with silk flowers to get my techniques down. I flooded the flowers the 1st day to set them in place and get a light coat of resin between the petals. On the videos I watched they said precoating the petals helps prevent trapped air from between the petals when you do the casting layers. It was a great tip! Once the 1st coat cured then I was able to fill the mold in layers. The silk flowers are stunning in the resin! VERY HAPPY! I grow tons of flowers in my garden so I can't wait to dry them out to preserve in resin next. 6. Depending on the size of my pour I will use just The Artistโs Resin and sometimes use a mix of The Artistโs Resin and the Deep Pour. It is great that I can use both types of resin on a project for different effects in the layers. I called the company and they advised me to wait to layer until the other type of resin was mostly cured. 7. Since I work around epoxy resin daily, the fact that Naked Fusion doesnโt have a smell and is a cleaner resin with no extra additives was one of the first reasons I decided to give it a try. I definitely noticed a difference from other brands out there. My studio is in my home and I want to be able to work in my studio without any strong smell. Naked Fusion solved a big problem for me, I havenโt had any issues since I changed over to Naked Fusion. I know many artists are in the same boat as me so itโs worth it to have a cleaner resin. 8. Another great feature of the resin is food safe. That is crucial for the types of items I make. When I sell my items used for serving food this is a MUST! The fact that Naked Fusion is a cleaner product gives me confidence in the kitchen items I sell. 9. I love that Naked Fusion makes me look good(LOL) . I look talented because the product is awesome and delivers every time!! I use my proven methods, I donโt have time to waste on my projects not turning out so this resin is definitely my go to for every project Resin costs too much to have projects go wrong so reliability is everything for me. I would DEFINITELY recommend trying it, be patient and read the instructions and youโll be happy you did. Lastly, their customer service is outstanding! I called them when I needed help and they coached me through my situation. You can reach real people who are incredibly knowledgeable and want to help their customers. It is the best support I have been able to find from a resin company. I feel like the company really cares about its artist and crafting communityโs success, and that is gold to me!

TITLE: This is the BEST resin I have found!! I love this resin and super HAPPY with the results.
I have tried several resin brands before and heard about Naked Fusion from a video tutorial. They highly recommended it so I decided to give it a try. Naked Fusion is now my favorite resin!!! Itโs really easy to work with, it doesnโt smell so itโs easy to use in my studio space and I love that it is non toxic. I followed the instructions to warm the part A before mixing because I know itโs important to make sure your resin isnโt cool. I am an experienced resin user and always make sure to be precise in my measuring and mixing. The bubbles release very easily with a heat gun, you can see them release and the resin keeps getting clearer and clearer with a little heat. It comes out ultra clear in my coaster molds. I use dried flowers and butterflies in my coasters and they are clear and beautiful every time! I have used Naked Fusion with my alcohol inks and pigments and I am super impressed with the results. I get amazing effects, it cures really hard and I always get consistent results. I have also been playing around with Naked Fusion for resin waves on paintings. Still learning but so far so good! Very Happy! The other thing is that I sell my coasters and it is really important to me that Naked Fusion is food safe and heat resistant as well. It has a super hard cured finish and holds up well without scratching. It has all the qualities I was looking for in a resin and the price is really reasonable for the high quality. I have paid a lot more for other resins and I feel like I am getting a great deal. So happy with to have found this resin and Naked Fusion will be my go to from now on!! Highly recommend trying it!

Absolutely love this resin! If you're into silicone mold casting, Naked Fusion is awesome
I am still learning as I think you never stop learning with resin, there are endless ways to use it. I tried a variety of molds to see how they came out. Some with pigments and some clear. Naked Fusion was really easy to use. I made sure my temps were correct and warmed the Part A before mixing since the instructions suggested it. The consistency of the resin was really perfect for me. NICE FLOW! The bubbles that show up after you stir float right out with a heat gun. I had no problem achieving a crystal clear coaster. I know why they call it diamond clarityโฆloving the clarity. A heat gun is a necessity when working with any resin so make sure you own one if you plan to do resin pours in silicone molds. Once you get the hang of it, itโs really easy. I've been getting into plant and flowers in resin, still kind of new to it but I tried a butterfly piece with little dried flowers and I'm really happy with how it turned out (I attached a picture to this review as proof!). It seems to be a big trend right now. I am also working with mica pigments, alcohol inks and resin dyes. I wanted to experiment with a few types of colorants and pigments, so I mixed a few pigments to get different effects, and the colors flowed together just right. I was able to de-mold relatively quickly so that was another huge plus. My piece cured very hard and seemed incredibly durable. I did a few scratch tests and there were no scratches, very strong. I tested the coasters with hot coffee cups and no issues. It's a strong, resilient material. I am impressed with the quality and will be continuing to reorder. I sell my finished artworks and having confidence and the quality and durability is important to me. Naked Fusion passed all my tests. A friend of mine recommended Naked Fusion. They said it was the only resin use and they are pretty savvy when it comes to resin. I have been working on resin projects for about 2 years now and tried a number of different resins. Glad I took the recommendation.

Stir, stir, stir, then stir some more...
Update - having received two sets of this product, I had occasion to use it again after my first review. As another reviewer noted, this resin is not forgiving if you donโt stir extremely well. So, the next time around, I stirred slowly for about five minutes, meticulously scraping the sides of my cup, until there were zero streaks. I had to stir much more than with other resins, but having done so, the outcome was very nice. Extra stirring also seemed to help with the bubble problem. The one negative is that Itโs super sticky to clean up. As much as I hate to, I sometimes use disposable cups, especially with extra fine glitter. Initial review - I really wanted to love this resin and was so excited to get it because of other reviews. Sadly, it is incredibly sticky and hard to clean up, and FULL of micro bubbles. I have been able to remove most of them with a heat gun when I have poured something an 1/8th inch or less in thickness. Every project thicker than that, has lots of bubbles and they never rise to the top. They donโt respond to any kind of torch or heat gun. With a 24 hour (or more) cure time, I donโt have time to pour little tiny layers and wait a full day. A single coaster project could end up taking me a week or more. The solution is so thick itโs extremely difficult to mix thoroughly, and I have tried different tools for mixing, different speeds, and always for at least four minutes. But, each time, I have ended up with projects that are tacky, a bit cloudy, and take a very long time to harden. I am meticulous about measuring, so thatโs not the problem. It may be great for extremely small projects, like pendants, but Iโm regretting that I bought two full sets and canโt return the second one without a shipping fee. Maybe I got a bad batch?

Quality product produces quality results
I have purchased this resin multiple times and it has become my favorite! The first time I used it was when I first attempted to work with resin. While I didn't have any issues with bubbles, I did have a couple of bad experiences with the resin not curing properly. That was because I did not realize how critical it is to get exactly (or as close as humanly possible) the same amount of resin and hardener mixed together. I also learned that preheating does wonders for successful application. However, if you forget to preheat you can still put it in a bath of hot water for about 10 minutes after you have mixed the resin and hardener together. This will cut down the amount of time you have to work with the resin but it certainly beats having a lot of tiny air bubbles in your pieces. I have used alcohol ink and mica powders for coloring and they both do well with this resin. I have also used it without any colorant when creating pieces with dried flowers. When I did not use colorant, the resin dried crystal clear and allowed the vibrant colors of the flowers to shine through. I have included shells, stones, pearls, gemstones, dried flowers, and many other pieces to highlight the resin and it created some beautiful pieces. I don't have any good photos of any pieces I have made with this resin but I will upload a few that aren't great so you have some idea of the results you might expect. This is a great product but remember to 1) warm the resin and hardener before beginning. 2) measure correctly - equal parts of resin and epoxy. 3) mix thoroughly (at least 3 minutes). 4) mix any colorant until it is well blended. 5) pour small amounts and use heat to remove any bubbles that rise to the top - then add another layer. 6) if you are not using silicone molds, be sure to use a silicone spray so the resin will not stick to the surface it is poured onto. 7) cover the resin piece while it is curing to protect it from airborne particles.

Great stuff but . . .
This epoxy resin is easy to work with, has no odor, easy to mix, and gives consistent, gorgeous results. However, make sure you use it up within a year or so. The resin jells in the bottle after about 12 months. It might be possible to fix this (according to online sources) by heating the container in hot water for a period of time and shaking it. I haven't tried it yet, though. Update: Put the jellied resin in a pail filled with hot tap water. After an hour or so, remove and shake vigorously. If any jell remains, repeat. Resin will be in usable form. Exactly how long it will remain in liquid form is unknown but certainly enough time to do the job you're using it for.

Great for alcohol ink art!
Very pleased with this product. First time using any resin, trying my hand at alcohol ink petri (coasters). Have poured three small batches now. Don't know what it was supposed to look like, and just mixed it thoroughly for 4-5 minutes. First couple times warmed only the resin bottle, had lots of bubbles, but 98% came out with quick pass with heat gun after a 5-minute rest in mold. Was seeing artists with other 1:1 resins pre-warming both resin and hardener, so today I tried that. Hardly any bubbles five minutes after pouring in molds! Was able to easily remove petris from molds at 16 hours while wearing gloves and found firm coasters. 24-48 hours in they are very hard and look like glass. Final selling point is that I did these in my bedroom, the only option at the time, and there was almost NO odor...what was there was faint for just a couple hours and gone by the time I went to bed after having a small fan on for a few hours. I also got a bit of hardener on my desk and my skin more than once, and it came off well with an immediate damp paper towel, followed by an alcohol wipe. Your results might vary, but as a beginner who had no clue going into this (and doing a bit of research on different resins), there's no reason for me to try any other brand. Love this stuff!

Initial First Impressionsโฆa promising start
As the holidays approach, I am making some items to give as gifts for friends and family. Who doesnโt appreciate handmade gifts, especially if they are useful items? My projects include ornaments, trays, and coasters. I have heard great things about this resin and am happy to finally try it. The first thing that caught my attention was the detail of the instructions provided in the kit. Understanding that every resin is unique, I dedicated time to acquaint myself with the specifics. Warming Part A is a crucial step outlined in the process. I had heard that cold resin can be a challenge to work with, as it's tough to stir and manipulate. I took the necessary steps to ensure that my resin was brought up to the recommended temperature, to ensure success. The heat gun made bubble removal from the warm resin mix relatively easy. Using the heat gun more than once was needed to get all the air out, it requires patience but is very worthwhile. In the end, my pieces turned out really cool and I felt quite proud of them. I did rate this product with 3 stars only because I am still playing with it on a number of different applications to see how it does and plan to update. I've recently fallen in love with their Naked Fusion Crafter's resin, particularly for my silicone mold projects. The lower viscosity of this resin makes pouring into silicone molds a breeze. As I understand, the Artist resin is really great for paintings and art so I plan to try a geode painting next to see how it does. Will update you soon.

Cures faster in Singapore weather.
This resin cures really fast in Singapore's weather. Work time is about 20 to 30 mins- daytime temp being 90 deg F. I could add another layer of resin after 6 hours. Love that it's almost odor free, though I would still use a respirator. It is good quality resin for the price paid and I would order it again and use it to top coat my resin crafts.
