Fabulous and great idea

Holds the umbrella well

We bought an overhanging parasol from A Well-Known DIY Chain but it didn't come with the 4 weights for the base. We could have bought 4 there and then but they were £25 each and made of solid lead (it felt like) so not a practical or economically-attractive option. Found these online at Amazon and they're perfect - fill them with water to use and they're plenty weighty enough to keep the parasol upright, then empty them for storage when you're done and they only weigh a couple of pounds each when empty.

When full of water each of segments are really heavy, so put them where you want them first, then fill with water. We used them for a large rectangular patio parasol, and it remained rock solid.

Thank you so much for making life so much easier by selling your fantastic parasol base, it was so easy to fix up for my 17 year old son too, he added 11.5 jugs of water to each of the weights and none of them leaked like in the passed when we ordered one from Amazon and I reordered the same one, thank goodness my son picked up on this, still waiting for my refund from that company. I was wary and suspicious about the weight, but after filling all 4 with water, the umbrella isn't moving anywhere. Very easy to fill, and looks very clean. Size fits IKEA umbrella base like a glove.

Good value and work well with water or sand, I have 2 sets of these, I purchased a set last year. I’ve used water as it’s quick and easy to fill, no issues with leaking, easy to empty and store away when not in use over winter
