Fantastic...
Basics: The entire footrest is padded, including the sides, and the straps are adjustable. The strap also has a clip so it can be used for different types of trays/seats or hung between two trays if you want to share it. It comes with a bag for storage. The bag for the footrest is 10" x 8". With the footrest inside, it can be flattened down to about 1-1.5" thick so it's easy to fit into a purse or bag. The side pieces are 9" tall, the center is 8.5" long, and it's 7" wide. Plenty of space without being cumbersome. I meant to take pictures on one of the planes and I forgot. I'll have to update my review with those later.I don't know why I didn't buy one of these sooner. Well, I do know, "it's another thing taking up room in my bag/purse, you have to set it up and put it away. It would be a whole thing. I can deal with discomfort for a few hours..." I'm an idiot. The little amount of room it takes up in my bag and the little amount of time spent hanging it and putting it away is well worth the amount of comfort it provided. This footrest made a huge difference.I travel often. Anywhere from 6-10 domestic and at least 2 international flights per year. I normally fidget in my seat wishing I had a foot rest. I have back and joint pain due to a degenerative condition and neuropathy in my feet. The thought of being stuck in any airplane seat bums me out to say the least. I had a tightly packed trip overseas with 9 flights in under 2 weeks coming up. I knew I had to order the footrest. Man oh man. Being able to put my feet up meant I could easily reposition my hips and knees making my longer flights so much more enjoyable. I was comfortable! I was even able to sleep! I can't ever sleep on planes. I was concerned that the center panel would bend or crease from use, but it didn't. Time will tell whether that will happen or not, but I used it appx 18 hours and I didn't have any problems with bowing, bending, or creasing. Then again, I'm an adult of average weight and I'm capable of gauging an item's limitations. Be mindful not to put too much weight/pressure on it by using it to push yourself up or anything. If you're overweight and/or suffer from severely swollen extremities, the weight and overall girth of your feet and ankles would factor into how well the footrest holds up, but I can't speak to those variables. I can say that this flat mid section type of footrest would probably be a better option than the hammock style.I went with the flat mid section version bc it seemed like it would be more spacious, comfortable overall, and shareable. I didn't want a hammock style footrest (one that hangs loosely without the stiff center piece) bc I didn't want my feet to be cramped or pushed together and they don't seem particularly shareable. It worked perfectly for me.Downside- I could see the plane's crew deciding it was a tripping hazard and asking you to remove it. It depends on the crew and where you're seated, of course. It wouldn't be allowed if you're on one of the planes that has 2 rows as their Exit row since you can't even put bags under the first row of seats. No one said anything about it when I used it on my longer flights. If you're asked not to use it, please don't give the product a bad review for that individual crew's decision. I've seen people do that with other airplane products. If the product is shoddy or doesn't work as advertised, that's one thing, but giving one star reviews based on people and situations that have nothing to do with the actual product is unfair.

Great Product! I really liked it, but there are a few watch outs for potential buyers
What I liked:This foot rest worked perfectly for me! I am pretty short (5'3") and airplane seats are just a little too high for me so my feet dangle and it causes my legs to fall asleep. This product really helped with this issue by giving me someplace to put my feet. Having this product also gave me more options to sit and sleep. For example, I was able to sleep on my side a little because I could shorten the foot rest to a height that allowed me to do that. To my surprise, it was not too bulky or took up too much of the space in the row and it even hung out of the way enough for me to let people by who needed to get out of the row without removing it. I also liked that it had a supportive board in it, which prevented my feet from sliding together when they were both in the hammock. The lengths of the straps have plenty of fabric room to adjust depending on the airplane and your preferred leg height. It also squishes down to a relatively shape, making it easy to pack!Watch outs:There were a few things about this product that worked ok for me, but that I could see being a potential issue for others.1. If you put too much weight on the foot rest, the adjustable straps slip to a larger size which could be annoying. It only happened to me once or twice when I was adjusting in my seat and a lot of weight on it since I was using it to leverage myself to adjust. Like I said, it was not an issue for me, but it might be helpful to note.2. The board insert is relatively small so be sure to look at the dimensions in the product description. The size was fine for me but could cause issues for others. I wear a size 7.5 US shoe size and I did not have a problem.

Comfort and Relief for Long Flights!
I recently purchased the Airplane Footrest Made with Premium Memory Foam for my travels, and it's been a game-changer! As someone who stands at 5'5", finding comfort during long flights has always been a challenge, but this foot hammock has made a significant difference.Pros:Low Back Pain Relief: The premium memory foam provides excellent support, relieving any discomfort in my lower back during long haul or red-eye flights. It's a lifesaver for those marathon journeys across the globe!Comfortable for Long Flights: This foot hammock truly lives up to its promise of providing relaxation and comfort. It allows me to elevate my feet and stretch out, reducing fatigue and promoting better circulation, especially during those extended flights.Cons:Tray Table Dependency: One minor inconvenience I encountered was the dependency on the tray table in the seat in front of me. During a recent American Airlines flight in an exit row seat, where there was no seat back tray table, I couldn't fully utilize the footrest. It's worth noting this limitation, especially if you're seated in specific configurations.Overall, I highly recommend the Airplane Footrest Made with Premium Memory Foam for anyone seeking relief and comfort during their air travels. It's compact, easy to carry, and provides much-needed support, making those long flights much more enjoyable. Just be mindful of the tray table situation depending on your seat configuration!

You WILL bug the person in front of you
I tried this on a 6 hour flight. My legs are short and I get swollen ankles. I needed something. The product itself is ok, but you will most certainly bug the person in front of you while using this. As a matter of fact, within minutes of adjusting this thing, which hung over the inside of the closed tray table, I was already annoying the person in front of me because their seat inevitably moves when you tug on it or put your feet on it. Thereโs no way around it. So for my plane ride home I ended up ordering one of those padded foot rests and I was able to slide it under the seat in front of me when not using it. I donโt recommend this type of footrest on a plane.

CHANGED THE WAY I FLY FOREVER!
I am 5'2" and flying has always been uncomfortable because of not being able to completely rest my feet on the floor to avoid the strain in my back because of the angle of the seat when I fly. I also frequently purchase a window seat because of issues of claustrophobia when flying. Additionally, there is always a risk of a leg clot, and since I have shorter legs, they don't get much circulation because the seats are designed.I searched the internet for a while looking for the perfect airplane footrest because other ones have reviews that say that their feet bunch up because there is no flat portion to avoid crowding when you put pressure on the footrest. Also, some say that the strap under the footrest they can feel it cutting into their feet when they put pressure, or that it's uncomfortable. I DID NOT HAVE THESE ISSUES WITH THIS FOOTREST!! I'm SO glad I purchased this one. It has a flat portion in the middle which really is AWESOME...you already get crowding of your feet because you're resting them near each other as it is, but the fact that it's flat really helped me feel way more comfortable. Also, I couldn't feel any strap digging into my feet or heels in any way. The cushioned portion felt great when I only had socks on. This helped my leg circulation A TON! I didn't have super swollen ankles or tired legs at the end of my flight.I REALLY REALLY REALLY loved using this during my last 3 hour flight. I got lucky on one of the flights to have my own row and being able to set it up in the middle sit while I leaned on the window/wall and prop my feet up was AWESOME. I slept like a baby with my blanket, eye shield and noise cancelling headphones. The other 3 hour flight I was right next to a person, and I still felt like I wasn't an inconvenience with them. The only thing that I would just warn people about is that each seat table is different for each airline and airplane, so be careful when opening the seat table when your feet are in the footrest, because sometimes it may drop the height suddenly as the table comes down. So I found the best way to adjust the footrest is to insert it in the seat table, lock the seat table, adjust the height of the foot rest that was comfortable, then put down the seat rest if I needed to use it and then lift it up again while temporarily holding my feet up or taking my feet off of the footrest for a moment. Each seat table is designed differently, but don't be afraid to play around with it! Comfort is key!I will be purchasing a couple as gifts to my friends to travel often and my boyfriend.

A must have for long flights
I recently went on a long-haul flight to Europe, and the thought of spending hours in a cramped airplane seat had me a bit anxious. That's when I discovered the Airplane Footrest - Travel Foot Rest, and it turned out to be a game-changer for my journey. At an affordable price and boasting some stellar reviews, I decided to give it a shot. I stand at 5'5", which worked to my advantage, as this footrest was a perfect fit for me.Setting it up was a breeze - I simply hooked it onto the tray table and then closed the table back up. Voila! I instantly felt the difference in comfort and support. It provided that extra bit of leg elevation that made all the difference during the flight. The beauty of this footrest is its simplicity. It doesn't take up much space, and yet it makes a world of difference in terms of comfort. I was able to relax more, sleep better, and arrive at my destination feeling more refreshed than I expected. In my book, this travel footrest is worth every penny. It's a small investment for the significant boost in comfort and peace of mind it provides during long flights. If you're like me and want to make your travel experience as pleasant as possible, don't hesitate to give it a try!

Saved my legs on a 10 hour flight.
I hemmed and hawed about buying this for my trip to Europe last October because I really wanted to pack as light as possible but as someone with mild varicose veins, I really didn't want problems with aching, swollen legs. I am so glad I bought this. My legs are short as it is and sitting in economy is rough so being able to put my legs up, even 8-12" , was a huge help. It folds up easily and comes in its own little bag so it stays compact in luggage. It was very easy to set up and take down, which is always a plus on a crowded flight. Combine this with compression knee high socks and you'll definitely notice a difference in how your legs feel. I'll be taking this on all my flights!

Must have for long haul car travel with kids
At first look the item looked like high quality. I wanted to really test it out before I wrote a review.Prossoft with lots of leg roomsturdy and easy to installeasy to storeWe took this for a 14 hour car ride from Chicago to New Orleans and in combination with reclining the car seat this leg rest created a bed for my daughter. She slept the entire drive.ConI only bought 1 and the other kids had to drool over how cool and comfortable this foot rest is.I will highly recommend this item for anyone traveling with kids. Either in a car or on an airplane. It helps to align their posture and gives them somewhere to place their feet. It will adjust to fit. I have a 6 year old and he's on the short side and it works for him as well as his very tall 9 year old sister.
