Raw, unscented and serves purpose. But it makes my skin itchy. Not sure if all shea butters do this.

It's okay but not the real African shear butter
I don't think it is the real one, but it is not bad. The natural shea butter is not yellow

Works For My Beard
First, I have little to no knowledge about Shea Butter as this is my first time trying it. Since I didn't get an answer to my question about whether it's suitable for beard use I thought I would add a review in case anyone is contemplating using it for this purpose. It looks to be a pure product. No hints of any added ingredients or being refined/processed. It is quite thick and somewhat gritty. No real scent to it, other than very light earthiness. It was pretty difficult to fully emulsify out of the tub using my hands only. It worked, but took some time and effort. It's a very good deep beard moisturizer this way. For my next application I added a few drops of essential oil (sandalwood), which not only gave it a great scent, but also helped emulsification and made application easier. Bingo! Next time I will add some other beard-healthy and essential oil to the mix. Bottom line: this shea butter works very well as a reasonably priced overnight super-conditioner for bearded guys It is heavier and deeper conditioning than my expensive beard butters and balms. YMMV.
