Samsung Galaxy Tab A

After some long term issues with my 10 year old kindle fire HD, which I absolutely loved, I finally relented and decided it was time to just let it go.As a lifelong Samsung fan, don't get me wrong - I dallied but always returned to Samsung- I thought that if I was going to replace my beloved kindle, it would be with a tried and tested brand. The item arrived well packaged and intact, the device itself was holding more than 50% charge so plenty of juice for a quick quality check.First impressions were that the screen was much larger than anticipated (a running theme with myself and product dimensions). I had always been happy with the kindle's 7.5inch screen but the 10 inch screen makes a massive difference to viewing quality. As expected from Samsung, setting up was extremely simple and logical. With no preloaded apps, you get to choose what goes on there from the very beginning, rather than the usual Facebook downloaded with no option to uninstall.Downloading the desired apps was very quick with no fuss. Now, my original kindle was the one with the awesome sound quality- the speakers either side of the screen- which made for a much more effective surround sound feature. The downside to the Galaxy Tab is that the speakers are on one side so the action sequences can be very loud and dialogue fairly quiet.Charging time is approximately an hour from near dead to full, and lasts for a good 8 hours of video / streaming time.Browsing the internet is quick and the storage seems plenty enough for my, admittedly basic, needs. All in all, very happy with the tablet and very impressed by the screen quality. If you found this helpful, please click that wee button so I know I'm not talking to myself. :-)

Well what to say about this tablet other than its not a small shiny box of paracetamols; (excuse the poorly chosen joke or pun) currently sat listening to a bit of David Bowie as i download a couple of series onto my new shiny samsung. Ok so i’m more of a apple guy than an android user. But couldn’t quite bring myself to fork out the kind of funds needed to buy an ipad. Was initially going to get the new amazon fire Hd 10.1 tablet but found this samsung galaxy tab A 10.1 (2019) cheaper. Tho i do think the amazon fire HD tablets are good for the money you pay (had the previous model) but i liked the look of the galaxy tablet. Slimmer and lighter and much less bessel. Which was the deciding factor. Havent had the tablet for long. But it is a nice one; may not be high end but its far from being a bargain low end tablet. The screen is nice; watched a bit of the first season of swamp thing (so sad that there will be no season 2) i liked the screen; i mean its no OLED screen; but it is still brilliant quality; i also found the speaker to be better that the amazons one. I also found the tablet to be responsive. And i would highly recommend the samsung galaxy tab A (2019)To close it does what it says on the tin (ok the box) if your looking for a tablet that wont break the bank or cause you to spend a month ruffling through food banks like a crazed zombie. Then the samsung tablet should be the one for you.If your debating over this or the amazon tablet sadly i cant help you as this is more of a personal preference. But for me the samsung wins in many aspects; the back is not plastic so feels more high end and of course the camera is better. And its Android (though i did actually like amazons interface) happy hunting peeps; hope this was helpful.

Being a bit of a techie, and reading other reviews I was a little sceptic about purchasing this tablet with low ram for 2019. But I should of known. The build quality and the screen are exceptional for the price. And having had most tablets in the past and finally taking a look at why I use a tablet(Which was browsing Internet, YouTube) Why do I need a fully specced tablet. I don't play games, I very rarely listen to music. So I went ahead and purchased it. Definitely the correct decision. You will not need anything else. If you wish to only use it for multimedia and Web browsing you will not be disappointed 2Gb Ram is more than anough for this. Well done Sammy. U gave us a bargain this time.5*****Update 19/6/19After using this tablet for a week, I have returned it. For one single reason, I tried several SD cards Inc. Two Samsung, could I get the tablet to recognise them. No matter what I tried nothing. So sadly then that's a definite no no.

I’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1-Inch (32 GB, Wi-Fi, Black, UK Version) for a while now, and it’s proven to be a solid choice for anyone looking for an affordable and reliable tablet. It’s perfect for entertainment, light work, and casual browsing.Design and Build:The tablet has a sleek and modern design with a metal back that feels premium and sturdy. It’s lightweight and comfortable to hold for extended periods, making it ideal for reading or watching videos. The 10.1-inch screen is surrounded by thin bezels, giving it a clean, updated look.Display:The Full HD display is vibrant and sharp, making it great for watching movies, browsing photos, or reading eBooks. The colors are rich, and the brightness levels are sufficient for indoor use. It performs decently outdoors, though direct sunlight might make it harder to see the screen.Performance:For everyday tasks like browsing, streaming, and light gaming, the performance is smooth and reliable. The tablet runs on Samsung’s Exynos 7904 processor, which handles multitasking well for casual users. It’s not designed for intensive gaming or heavy apps, but it gets the job done for basic needs.Storage:With 32 GB of internal storage, it offers enough space for apps and a decent amount of media. If you need more space, the tablet supports microSD cards up to 512 GB, which is a fantastic addition for storing large files, movies, or photos.Battery Life:The battery life is impressive, lasting up to 10 hours on a full charge with moderate use. This makes it perfect for long days of use without worrying about running out of power.Sound:The dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support deliver clear and immersive sound, enhancing the experience when watching videos or listening to music.Software:It runs on Android with Samsung’s One UI, which is user-friendly and intuitive. There are some pre-installed apps, but they don’t take up too much storage and can be disabled if needed.Value for Money:Considering its features and build quality, this tablet offers excellent value. It’s not the most powerful device, but for the price, it’s hard to beat.Pros:Sleek and sturdy design.Vibrant Full HD display.Great battery life.Expandable storage up to 512 GB.Affordable price.Cons:Limited internal storage (without a microSD card).Performance can lag with intensive apps or heavy multitasking.Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1-Inch is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a budget-friendly tablet for everyday use. It’s reliable, stylish, and delivers a great experience for its price. Highly recommended for casual users and families!

Very pleased with this company. I ordered the samsung tab for my wife who is disabled. It was too heavy for her. I contacted customer services and they suggested sending a smaller lighter model. It was recieved the next day. Just what she wanted. They even phoned me to make sure that I was happy with their service.

I honestly couldn’t imagine a better tablet for the money! The metal rear casing makes it feel much more premium than it’s price would suggest. The display is fantastic with brilliant viewing angles and rich colours, and the full lamination really helps with the contrast - the photos do not do justice to the quality. The speakers were a huge surprise, super bassy with a nice full sound. (I’m sure audiophiles would take issue with the overall tone, but for watching Netflix or listening to music they’re perfect). My only gripe is that both speakers are on the same side of the tablet when viewing in landscape, but I think it’s fine for the money. You occasionally feel the 2GB of RAM when multitasking, but it’s nowhere as bad as I had imagined. You can easily split screen apps, or use the new pop-up app view, with no lagging.Since others have mentioned issues with the tablet accepting MicroSD cards, I thought I should mention that I’ve installed a 200GB Sandisk MicroSD, and it’s working perfectly. After a week or so of owning the tablet I received the Android 10 update, and it’s a massive improvement. The UI feels much smoother and more responsive than before, and the tablet now loses zero battery overnight. If it’s at 100% when I go to bed, it’s still at 100% when I wake up…! Nuts.I’ve loaded up PUBG Mobile, and while the standard performance isn’t great, using the GFX app from the PlayStore I’ve managed to push about 40fps.If you’re looking at tablets in this price bracket I doubt you’ll find anything better.

Use product for general internet searching and playing low graphic board games. I have been impressed with the battery life which easily lasts two days of moderate use. Best battery life I have encountered on a tablet but price you have to pay is that it takes a good 3 hours to charge. The screen is LCD, therefore not as vibrant as a more expensive amoled . I also thought the screen could be more sensitive to. On the odd occasion, a double or triple tap is required. Speed was acceptable for me. Not as snappy and instant as my top range phone, but no annoying buffering. Note, you can't do split screen mode as you would be able to on a higher spec tablet. But I didn't miss this much. It is definitely slightly heavy in the hand, but slim size and good looking tablet. Also, the slightly textured plastic (metal looking) back, means it won't slip out of your hand or off the table like those high spec glass back sammy tablets. Also more durable. Relieved also there is no Bigsby button on this ....none of that headache. Tablet is customizable. I can recommend this tablet with pleasure. In addition, it is a major boredom killer during the covid 19 lockdown.

It’s very good
