P1259 CEL on my 2003 Honda Civic Si EP3
Went through the whole P1259 Diagnosing as per Honda before finally just replacing the whole unit. Fairly easy to replace with. (3) 10mm bolts and it's out. Wasn't as a messy experience since it does run pressurized oil, I assumed it would be have like a lot of in it. No more limp mode, happy to rev the engine out now. I'll see how long it'll last, review subject to update, if it hasn't, it's been working fine.

2009 Honda CRV FITS FIXED VSA LIGHT ISSUE
This part is typical failure on Honda vehicles. It can use be clogged so you may not need to replace the whole part. But given the cost is less than $50 bucks while be cheap especially since it is an old part and other components can go bad as well. I would just replace the whole part. Typical systems include a jerking motion from the car and the vsa light coming on and staying on. Some time both check engine light and vsa light will be on. If this happens pull over where its safe turn off car and turn back on. If it keeps happening then you know you have a problem and this would be your solution. It is held in my 3 10 mm bolts. You need to first remove the 2 clips for the sensor. You can't see the bolts so you need to kind of feel for them and use a deep socket. You may also need an extention. Your make and model may require additional steps but over all take off 2 clips and pull out 3 bolts good luck. Also reset code if you have a code reader. Oh and before you even start look at the part on your car and this one to make sure they are the same. You dont want to start and then realize your order wrong thing, but i can tell you will fit 09 CRV.

Finally cleared my P1259 check engine VTEC system failure code! - 03 CRV Auto w/ 160k miles
Code P1259 - VTEC Failure *03 CRV Auto with 160k miles *Check Engine Light suddenly came on while trying to merge on the highway - Code was for VTEC failure I immediately bought a "Brand New" OEM Honda Solenoid off ebay (Arrived looking brand new but OEM plastic bag was open...hmmmm) *Car would only drive normally if I kept RPMs under 2800(Before engaging VTEC)! *Once replaced (Old actuator was def the original and looked disgusting!), my check engine light immediately went away! Until it came back a few minutes later.... *Havoc ensues as I try to replace everything associated with this code - Months go buy and my NYS inspection is approaching and I still have this check engine light! *In a last ditch effort before I junked the car I said what the heck let me buy another solenoid this time with great reviews on amazon for the hell of it. *Instantly cleared engine code itself drove 50+ miles just to confirm......PASSED inspection the next day! This product is legit and a life saver!

4k rpm limp mode got you down?
Seems like alot of higher mileage k series have failing oil pressure sensors in the vtec solenoid, figure I get this one just to replace my stock failing one so far it works great got rid of the codes for faulty vtec, figure I'd swap the sensor over to the stock one if I have any issues with this one

Failed after 1 year, warranty not honoured in practice.
Failed after 1 year. P2647 code (photo attached), jerking above 2,500 RPM, oil leaking from the internal pressure switch. The warranty process is effectively impossible to complete. They required extensive disassembly just to take photos of the installed part which includes removing the windshield cowl and the engine cover just to get a line of sight to it. That is beyond unreasonable for a part that's already failed and made the car unsafe to drive. Despite the "lifetime warranty" claim, getting a replacement is not realistic. Replaced with a different brand. Buyers should be aware this part fails in a way that affects drivability and safety, and the warranty is not honoured in practice.
