This is a nice set. Self storage is great. It makes a good gift. The pieces are nicely weighted.

This chess set is super light, very well crafted, and I am sincerely in love at how organized it is and how well presented it is, it is a little bit smaller than a regular set but it lacks nothing, and is the perfect set for learning and playing on the go. 10 out of 10 for me

Great little chess board and would be perfect for traveling. I really like the inside liner they put in to store all your pieces, so they aren't just rattling around inside. Unfortunately, one of the queens I received had chipped off at the "crown". Only recognizable as the queen due to its size compared to the others. Overall satisfied, But a little disappointed about the queen so only 4 stars

Good for the price. As others have stated the board is made of light weight wood. Great for traveling since it’s light and it’s easy to transport. This is a great beginners set for a teen. I like that the pieces have place in the foam so they aren’t just clanking around when transporting.

Two of the pawns were damaged and the overall product quality is poor. No felt at the bottom of the pieces and the feel is more of plastic than wood.

I bought this for my husband and son who play chess on a regular basis. It is rather small and difficult for their larger hands to move the pieces on such a small board. It is well made, though, attractive, and very portable.

Overall good value for money. Lighter wood nicely shaped and stained. Table size can sit open on side table for display also. Not really travel size but light enough if you have space in the trunk. Good gift for self or others.

It's really pretty, it came intact, correctly set up. All the pieces were there.... but it's not magnetic as advertised. That's the whole reason I wanted it for my young sister so she couldn't knock the pieces over accidentally so much. It's still a good set though and we played several games immediately upon receiving it.

Absolutely a great buy. My grandson loved the fact that the chess pieces had their own little slots to fit in. Folds up and closes nicely. The quality of the whole set is very good. The only problem with it was the packaging. It came in the original box with my address stuck to it which I couldn't remove.

the chess set doesn't feel quality, it feels very light and brittle which makes you question the materials it's constructed with, wood? plastic? the chess board when you open the set the chess pieces are arranged and inset inside a foam insert, which can be freely pulled out, underneath there is another layer of foam backing. so you can just pull both the inserts out from both sides and just throw all the chess pieces loose in the box without the inserts, giving you room to add some small draughts / checkers pieces if you wished. again the board feels incredibly light and brittle, and the surface feels coated with a cheap lacquer and feels grainy unpolished.. and while it is quite functional and visually nice, it's weight overwhelmingly suggests cheap quality, cheap material. about the chess pieces *another point that irritates me is the chess pieces have no felt or padding on the bottom, so they sound rather dry and scratchy as you move them. also their base diameter is quite narrow and having no magnetic base they can topple over easily, that said, one little bump could wipe out the entire board. and the sound the pieces make when they clang together is very high pitch making me wonder about the material used. yeah, I'm a bit scathing with this review, I expected much more for this price, find something better!
