I just received this slotted spoon yesterday, 1/20/20. I bought this to use in cheese-making; specifically to stir the curds to separate from the whey. I was very pleased when opening it. It has just enough weight to feel super sturdy without being too heavy for my 55-year-old wrist. I really, really like the brushed finish on this stainless piece as it will not show fingerprints which the shiny stainless spoon handles definitely show. I also appreciate the hollow handle (which does not actually feel hollow) as this will stop the transfer of heat to the handle should I walk away leaving the spoon in a pot that is filled with very hot liquid. I also really like the height of this spoon. The stock pots I use are taller as opposed to wider and all my other utensils are a standard height, only coming even with the rim of my stockpots. This new slotted spoon will actually stick up well above the rims which I like a lot. I'm considering ordering a couple more of this company's kitchen utensils now that I see the quality of this particular spoon. Also, worth mentioning is the direction that the hole in the handle is. I keep my utensils in a large crock on my counter. However, if I wished to hang this flat on a wall, I prefer the direction of the hole in this handle (front to back) as opposed to the ones that go from side to side. The side to side ones would not work if you were to hang on a wall as the wide bottom of this slotted spoon would stick out from the wall as opposed to hanging flat on the wall. Something to consider if you like to hang your utensils flat on a wall.

I just received my slotted spoon and i love it. I used it when I was frying some appetizers and it worked like a treat. The handle is long, which is great when you are frying so you don’t have to be that close to the hot oil. It is sturdy well made and easy to clean. I also like the fact that I can hang it up out of the way when I don’t need to use it. All in all a great utensil to have. I will definitely be ordering more products from this retailer

This is a large spoon that I bought for my seafood boil. It works great. It seems to be well made and very sturdy. The quality and finish are good. I’d buy it again.

I absolutely love this slotted spoon. I've purchased numerous utensils and had to throw out many of them as they are too flimsy or become warped after only 1 or 2 uses. This is spoon is stainless steel, sturdy, has a long handle so can be used to deep frying as well as stirring food in a deep pot. Have to use care in Teflon or coated pots/pans so as not to scratch.

It's a very nice spoon, no question about that, but it came up near the top search results when I searched for "paella spoon" or "paella spatula" and it really isn't good for that purpose because sides are too high. i've knocked a star off because of the search results.

Bought this slotted spoon, along with Newness' ladle and metal spatula, as upgrades to the ones we'd been using in the kitchen and these are great upgrades! The addition of the vacuum chamber prevents it from transferring heat to our hands, which was a problem with our cheaper (and much shorter) old versions. I would say this is the strongest of the three, if you grab both ends and pull on them, as it doesn't bend much at all under more stress than any food would give it. Glad we bought them and we're enjoying all the great food we're making with them!

I am so happy I finally have a great slotted spoon! I have already used it several times for blanching tomatoes from the garden; it scoops out several at a time. Run through the dishwasher. Very pleased!
