Even Better Than Expected
Because it was a used copy of the game, I was initially on the fence about whether or not the game cartridge would work. Turns out it works relatively well, so I've been able to play the game on my DS to my heart's content.

Never ending great game
The Tinkerbell DS game is truly a fun game. At first, the fairy world is huge and a little hard to get used to in finding all the fairies and items. I had to use the internet a couple of times to learn how to find objects needed in order to pass levels to change seasons in the game. Once the seasons are changed, Tinkerbell receives items such as accessories and outfits to change what she is wearing. Tinkerbell can create her own outfits and they soon start a fashion trend throughout the fairy world and you get to see other fairies wearing your outfits. Tinkerbell also fixes objects for fairies and makes jewelry that she can give to other fairy friends. She can purchase items in a store and even play a dart game to win items. Although this game is great fun, it never ends. The game keeps going and going and I felt myself getting bored with the game and the things that have to be done after a month of playing. Others might find that a never-ending game is great for their kids. I love Tinkerbell but I am ready for a new game.

A very pretty game
My grand daughter is telling me what she thinks as I type. She is eight years old. "I think that it is better than a lot of other mini games , and it's fun too. The mini games in it are better than other DS games. My favorite mini game is putting the spots on the ladybugs. I like that you get to dress up your characters, and it's fun to play by myself. The colors are very pretty. I dont like that there are lots of words to read when you talk to the characters. It's boring to just fly around. I wish the characters could go to winter, spring, fall and summer times , instead of just waiting till you finish a mission". It seems to me that she thinks it is a pretty fun game, but wishes there were more activities for the fairies themselves. If your child loves Tinkerbell and the Disney fairies they will like it more than average. My grand daughter likes the movies, but is more of an animal person than a fan of fairies.

Disney Fairies: Tinkerbell review by 8 year old girl
(While as an adult, I like playing Dsi games, I would not be caught dead playing a Tinker bell one, so I will let my daughter review this, since I bought her one for Chrsitmas.)She says: "I love it because you get to fix things, you get to talk to the different fairies, you get to choose different outfits for Tink. The mini games are fun. I like how pretty everything looks, and I like the different seasons although some were pretty hard to complete. At first it was not easy figuring out how to get places and what to do, but now I know and I play it a lot and really well.I have had it only since Christmas day and I have completed all the levels but there is so much to do that I am still having fun with it. I want my mom to buy me all the other Tinkerbell dsi games." She loves it; the graphics look really clean, bright and pretty, and when I watch her play it she seems to be having lots of fun. So yes, I would recommend it to any one.

I got the ‘refurbished’ one that wasn’t refurbished
I got a refurbished one but I feel like it should still be a little better quality than this. The game wouldn’t even register when I put it in my DSI. I had to clean it because it came crusty, it’s like they didn’t even try to refurbish it. And after I got it to work it’s still very laggy while moving around.

Tinkerbell for the DS should warn about DGamer chat rooms
I feel that the chat rooms that come with this title are not appropriate for the target age group. This is a very nice game for a 6-10 year old girl. It can keep them occupied for hours. What I don't understand is why the chat rooms are available on this title. True, a user can not input their own text if they are not registered, but they can get into the chat rooms and view the text that others input. I think that it is a major flaw with this title, and something that parents should be aware of. I think that Nintendo Wi-fi for games like Mario Kart is great fun and completely harmless, but I think the chat rooms should not be included on titles for young kids, or at least should not allow text entry by any users, whether they are registered or not. They should include text entry only on titles directed to older users.

Our Daughter's Favorite Game!
Our 4-1/2 year old loves Tinkerbell, and has recently graduated from the Leapster2 game system to my DS, so we thought this might be a nice game for her to get started with the DS. We weren't disappointed. It is absolutely adorable, and very easy to play. She keeps it by her bed, and if she wakes up early in the mornings, she entertains herself playing Tinkerbell until she knows it's time to get up. This has been a huge help to me, because I've also got a toddler to deal with early mornings, so having that extra thirty minutes or so of quiet time has been great for everyone. Our preschooler loves everything about the game, and gets really excited when she's reached a new level ("Mama! I'm on WINTER now!") and we've recently ordered the Great Fairy Rescue game as a follow-up (since the Treasure one got fairly poor reviews; we're skipping it altogether). I agree that all too often the character-licensed games seem to be lacking in quality or substance, but this one's got both. Big thumbs-up from me, and my little girl!
