I took a leap of faith and ordered anyway.  Eureka!  Cat Food was delivered!  so, the pic is wrong, but the food is right.

Meat/bone, rice, corn, (corn) protein, fat, meat, meat flavor, (pea) fiber, rice, (rice) fiber, (wheat) protein, beet, (soy) fat (oil), emulsifier, (yeast) nutrient, sugar binder, fish oil fat, nutrients.  Lots of plants involved in this carnivore diet. Breaking down the rice/wheat/corn so the first ingredient is chicken.Man that's some low-quality stuff.  It's pretty filled out with low-cost grains and grain components, plus some other vegetables (beats and peas). Beat pulp with sugar removed is the waste product of sugar production; brewer's yeast is a waste product of beer production.  Byproducts aren't necessarily bad—meat byproducts are the highest-quality ingredients in cat and dog feed—they're just generally-inexpensive.  Like I said:  cats are carnivores, and this is basically cut with plant-product.To put this into perspective:  Purina Friskies 7—cheap, off-the-shelf quality, first ingredient FREAKING CORN—guarantees a marginal 3% more minimum protein, 1% higher minimum fat content, and 2.7% lower maximum fiber content.  Proportional, that's 11% more guaranteed minimum protein than Royal Canin, 9% more guaranteed minimum fat, and 53% as much fiber.  The maximum moisture content of the Purina stuff is also higher, leaving Royal Canin less wiggle-room about what all that might be (i.e. suggests more carbohydrate).As a general rule, selling something as a deluxe (luxury) product nets you larger profit margins.  This stuff does meet dietary guidelines for cats; whether it meets them well is another matter.
