Works great!
Works great to keep an eye on my refrigerator temperature as well as in my grill. That’s flexibility! Affordable as well, well made. Regards. Ned.

A MUST-HAVE tool for every baker
First and foremost, my gas range has a keypad for digital baking temperature setting. Owning a gas range (Whirlpool) for 5 years and never did (or attempted) a calibration to the thermostat of the oven. Sarcastically, due to COVID-19 shelter-at-home guidance, we began to do a lot more home cooking, including baking. We always follow the temperature called out by the recipes, preheat sufficiently, but still find out the end products do not look/taste quite the same as expected. Often times, like pizza, we need to add at least 5 minutes to the baking time, but still taste a bit wrong. Finally purchased this thermometer and heat up the oven (at all testing temperatures, I gave it another 10-15 minutes for it to cycle several times after the oven made the beep). I was TOTALLY SHOCKED! When I set the temp to 450F, the thermometer reads 410F, a whooping 40F LOWER than it should! So I calibrated the oven by adding 30F (the max I could add). Guess what, now it overshoots to 470F, 20F higher than it should. Anyways, after repeated trial and errors, I found that adding 15F via the oven setting would give me the perfect 450F when I set it to 450F. This does not stop here... (for the rest of the tests, I kept the oven setting calibration offset at +15F) Next test, I dial down and set to 300F (my engineering sense tells me that the oven's thermostat is not a linear sensing element). No, the actual reading on the thermometer is not 300F, but 320F. No, I won't change the oven calibration offset again, because I do want 450F when I set to 450F. So be it. Final test, I dial to the midpoint between 300F and 450F (i.e. 375F), guessing that the actual reading would be "half of the offset." Yes, I nailed it, at oven setting at 375F, the actual reading is 385F, a perfect offset of 10F. Well, I should have written a detail review on this Whirlpool cooking range with oven, but my point is, this Rubbermaid thermostat does its job nicely. My recipes now turn out great results. Although there is no way for me to fine-tune an offset that is good for the entire temperature range, at least now I know in my mind what "offset of an offset" I should have when dialing in the oven temperature.

A useful kitchen accessory
This oven thermometer seems to work just fine. I suspected my oven wasn’t getting to the temperatures I set. With this thermometer I was able to determine that the oven does reach the temperatures I set, but not until several minutes after the beep. Now I use it every time I bake.

nice thermometer
I have a basic gas range. It takes forever for it to heat up and have noticed the knob is about 50 degrees off. This helps to let me know when it's preheated/

Accuracy at its finest..
When you think you may need to replace your older oven because it won't keep temperature according to your old thermometer. Get a new Rubbermaid thermometer to help you . That is what I m glad I did. Turns out my oven keeps right temperature, but my old thermometer made me believe otherwise. Worth every penny.

Works as expected
Appears well made. Dial easily read. Size as expected. Setup…..stick it in your oven and you’re done. Appears accurate as it’s matching my oven temp. Overall a decent purchase for a reasonable price.

Falls to the oven floor
This does a fine job but the base is so narrow it constantly falls down from the oven rack to the oven floor.

I have used this 5-6 times in the oven so far. Works perfectly well. The dial is clear to read through the oven glass, hangs unobtrusively and seems to be of sturdy construction. Helped me understand how long it takes my oven to reach a particular temperature as well as the unequal distribution of heat in the oven (after 2-3 attempts)

I have used this thermometer for more than a year now. Ànd very often too. It has never failed me

Just tested it. Definitely able to validate the actual temperature of the oven. Couldn't be easier to use & to read. Size is not obstructive when in use. Display of black digits against a white background. Excellent tool for the kitchen.

Bought this item because my new cooker has a temperature dial which is not very accurate. 1 smidgy turn could add on 10°. Lags behind the cooker getting up to temperature but give it a few minutes it gets there.

Relacion CALIDAD/PRECIO: EXCELENTE!!. Lo recmiendo al 110% es super util.
