Hi there just wondering how well you think this will protect my head from falls? I have been having seizures in which i fall backwards. Thanks

This is simply a plastic shell with vents and a small foam disc at the top of the head for comfort. IMO this should not be considered an outright safety device as it does not conform to any safety protocols. I use this in sailing where a large metal bar (boom) can come flying over your head very quickly with much force. I really use it as a deflector if I don't quite get low enough. It would never replace a full helmet. The question really might be whether this is better than nothing at all. If your head falls against a sharp object it will certainly help but since this is only sized to go inside a cap or hat then the protection may not be where you might need it in the lower back part of the head or sides. It essentially sits at top of the ears. It's cheap and affordable so might be worth investing in and seeking input from your medical practitioner.

Further to my question about seizures I’m wondering if you think it will provide added protection from falls with the addition of extra foam padding?

Is this insert EN 812 compliant?

The skullerz 8945 insert has no safety standard markings and is quite thin and flimsey. For a coupl of extra quid, you could perchase a complete hat to en standards, even if it's just to remove the insert to put into your favourite, preferd existing hat, as I have done.
