Ok so here goes. I have thin,curly, damaged hair. Basically the worst. It’s hard for me to want to use heat protectant when it makes my hair look dirty or oily. I’ve been shopping around trying different things, and as of 2-3 weeks I’ve been using this product. So it looks thick and like omg your hair is gonna be greasy but surprisingly it’s not !! I put very little (dime size amount) in my palms and spread it through my wet clean hair a couple times. Might be easy to put too much so start off w little then repeat process as needed. Smell is nice, somewhat familiar. It helps my hair look less damaged, helps keep my hair straight, gives my hair some weight, and my hair is growing!! Like I def see some growth prob from being so well protected! Def worth a try. UPDATE. 6months later and I’m still using this. My hair has def grown and is being protected from heat !! Def will be buying another bottle soon. UPDATE 2/25/22 Been using this since 10/10/20. Works well with other products without feeling greasy ! So you go girl and take care of that hair ! Literally putting this and like 4 other products in my hair including oils/ serums. Hair is shiny and longer than ever. Who knew putting time and effort in your hair would make it healthier and just better lol. Some of us gotta work for some things right! Worth it. UPDATE 03/30/23 Still using this after every shower. I try new products regularly but this one is always my last step !!

This is the best serum I’ve found for my fine curly and sometimes frizz prone hair. This is great alone for a blowout, or used before gel for a scrunch and style curly look. I’ve tried many brands over 25 years and I keep coming back to this one. This and Str8 by the same brand are both fantastic products.

It has a strange, funky odor. Thankfully, after hair is dried the smell goes away. Rusk is a brand I have known for years. This product gives lift and body. Also it will last a long time, as you only use a drop or two. Gives hair a smooth and silky feel.

I purchased this to use on my hair for flat ironing. When I got it I smelled it and I did not like the smell and I immediately requested to return. Well, I washed my hair and the other 2 heat protectants I got just make my hair feel like straw so I said well let me just try the Rusk serum. WOW I LOVE IT. My hair feels SO SOFT. I LOVE IT. The scent goes away after using it with the heat. I am so happy I decided to give it a try. I canceled my request to return it. THIS IS A KEEPER.

I've been using heatsmart dry oil serum for many years faithfully. They stopped making it and I've been trying to find something similar and this product wins! A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY. Just wanted people to know that. You don't feel residue in your hair when it's wet, it's feels great while it's blow drying (no stickiness), I have less frizz when I'm done (I use a paddle brush while drying) and mine and my daughter's hair is shiny, but not oily when we're done. I'm sold!

The RUSK Designer Collection Thermal Serum is a wonderful product that I can't live without when using my flat iron. Never disappointed in this product. However, when I opened the envelope and reached in for the bottle of RUSK, it was gooey all over. The bottle was barely closed and in fact not closed at all but I think that plastic tab that fits all the tops is what saved the day. After I washed the product off the bottle and held it up to the light to see how much product was left, I was surprised that only a small amount had leaked out of the bottle. I'm okay with this. Now with that behide me, I do want to say that I never have a bathroom cabinet empty of this product. It's excellent in every way and I do recommend it highly. I leaves my hair shiny and beautiful. What more could a girl want.

I’m Korean and have long, thick, coarse hair, and it’s damaged from past dye-jobs. I also had a baby last year so a lot of hair got broken off midway or completely fell out... yay for postpartum hair-loss. I only use barely half a pea size of this oil to rub into my palms then apply to wet towel-dried hair (only on the bottom half of my hair, nowhere near the scalp or else I’ll just be a greaseball all day). Then I blow dry my hair as usual and I swear it really cuts down the drying time! And when you have long hair past halfway down your back you know how long it takes to dry all that. The scent is so minimal and after you’re done drying you don’t notice any scent anyway. When I didn’t use this before, even if I blow-dried my hair the same way it would take foreverrr and look so messy and clingy when done. But after drying with this oil in, my hair looks neat and smooth! Again, only use a TINY BIT. One time I accidentally used like two pea-sized globs and it INSTANTLY weighed down my whole hair and I looked so greasy!

A really great product to use with hair straightener. Have never suffered from split ends using this product. Frizzy hair is soft and silky. Have been using it for a few years now, was unable to find it at my local hairdressing suppliers lately, never thought amazon would sell it, thank god they do. Having to pay twice the price is worth it.

J'utilise ce produit depuis des années c'est très efficace avant de se servir d'un séchoir ou d'un fer à lisser les cheveux sont super doux et brillant on peut mettre ce sérum le matin sur cheveux secs et procéder à son brushing et ça c'est vraiment très pratique je le recommande à 100%

I've used the thermal serum for several years, because it gives the best protection against using heat on your hair. Other products leave my hair feeling dry or don't actually protect it from the heat. Only the smell of the thermal serum good be a little more attractive (though it isn't a bad smell, just neutral). Rusk is a little more expensive, but definitely worth the money!
