Works great!! Excellent deal!
This looks like the same well-reviewed product sold by Control Products ( Control Products MA-S01 Battery-Powered MiniAlarm Motion Sensor ) for less than half the price! This thing works PERFECT. I got burned buying an even cheaper alarm that went off randomly before, but this one has worked great all week with NO false alarms, and it has caught me EVERY time! Only criticism is the remotes are pretty big and clunky to carry around in your pocket. They are about the size of a large tic-tac container. I bought 3 of these and an extra remote to give to guests who will stay with me from time to time.. the remotes have a DIP switch you can set to one of up to 16 combinations, and they are interchangeable. The alarm itself will easily learn & operate at that sequence upon bootup. Also the alarm is VERY LOUD! I like the 4 second delay -- enough time to disarm when you forget but not enough time for an intruder to disable the alarm before it goes off. The only way they could disable it without the remote is by removing the batteries, so put it out of reach. I didn't test distance, but my application is in a stairwell so it's not a big deal. I highly recommend it!!!

Definitely recommend, it gives me peace of mind knowing this ...
Work very well for me as indoor detectors. I placed one facing the front door and the other my back door.........and if I forget in the morning to disable them, the alarm is loud, shrill, and enough to make anyone turn and flee. There is no way for the person entering to know that the alarm is not connected to a company that will call the police, and having an intruder leave is all that you can ask for. Definitely recommend, it gives me peace of mind knowing this system is working!

Would not disarm once set
We were able to set the alarm and appreared to be working very well until we needed to disarm the unit. Pushing the remote to disarm only muffled the screaming in our ears, very loud. It refused to disarm. Removed battereis and started from scratch again. Same thing. Returned this unit and ordered the unit that has a keypad instead of the remote. Hopefully that one will work for us.

Does the job well.
I needed to know if people were walking in an area they shouldn't be, outdoors. This is January 2013 in the Northeast USA. This alarm tested out OK in the house with rechargeable batteries (eneloop AA, Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries, from Amazon). 130 db sounds pretty "alarming" when it goes off near you! There are a couple of minor inconveniences with this alarm. First, it is difficult to tell if it is armed or not; I wait a while (10 seconds at least) and then wave my hand in front of it to test if it is armed properly. Second, you have to aim the control unit at a sensor on the device to arm or disarm the alarm -- and have to be in front of it, not behind it or around a corner. This alarm does turn itself off after a short time, which conserves batteries. Very nice. When the alarm goes off outdoors, from a distance it sounds almost like a chirping bird (a bit more annoying, though). I'm not sure this would alert your neighbors to come to your assistance, but it is loud enough up close to scare away a trespasser and just annoying enough to be noticeable if you are inside your house and it is about 50 feet away.outside -- through walls, windows, etc. I duct-taped it to a steel t-post (from Tractor Supply, you just pound it in ) about 4 1/2 feet above the ground and left it there. It has worked through temperature ranges from zero to 47 degrees Fahrenheit for the past week, through snow and sun, day or night. It easily picks up motion within 20 feet, but has sometimes picked up motion 40-50 feet away. Human sized motion or cars -- not snow flakes. I don't really need the controller feature, so will be trying the push-button code model (MA20) next, but I would recommend this for an entry way, garage or driveway where you could easily turn the alarm off when you come home with the controller unit. The control unit is very neat and compact and comes with a key ring. For now, I am just leaving the alarm outside and am very pleased with how it works. I would recommend this highly and may buy more in the near future.

Very good alarm for RV, Motorhome, trailer, cabin, etc. Remote has an issue.
A very nice unit for installation in a trailer/RV/motorhome/boat/cabin. The alarm is very loud and annoying and for that I would give it 5 stars for the cost benefit ratio. I purchased the optional external siren also and with both going off... the sound level is tremendous. I like the fact if the intruder rips the wire to the external siren out of the main unit, the external siren will keep going off (as it needs to be connected to be silenced). I believe you can chain several of the external sirens together. Beside the main unit, one extra siren inside a RV and one outside, would seriously impede intruders and bring attention to the break-in, in my opinion. The only hitch I have encountered is the keychain remote. It is a battery killer! The one I have will eat a set of batteries in 2 weeks (not being used). It is likely the one I have is flawed and in the process replacing it. Will update this review after testing the new remote as the keychain remote is a very important link in this system. If this problem is solved I will ammend this to a 5 star review.

Great motion detecting alarm
A couple years ago I purchased one of these with 4 push buttons for enabling and disabling the alarm and quit using it because the wife or I never knew if it was on or off when we got up in the morning. With this model the remote control arms the alarm and beeps once. We leave the remote in the bed room, who ever gets up first just pushes the "disarm" button and the red led blinks once and it is off. No more false alarms in the morning. This is a great unit and it is very loud

Stops working often
I installed this inside my enclosed trailer to provide a semblance of security during my cross-country move. I positioned it inside the trailer with the sensor pointing at the door, thinking that it would go off if anyone opened the door. I set it up and tested it and it worked great. The alarm was loud enough to be heard fairly clearly even with the door closed. I was satisfied and left it alone for a week thinking it was good to go. When I got to my first stop I attempted to arm the alarm with no luck. I took the batteries out, re-paired it with the remote and was able to get it to work. Over the next seven days I had to repeat this procedure at each stop and I was never confident that the alarm would even work if someone broke into my trailer. Luckily no one ever did, so maybe the sticker that came with it served a purpose after all. $22 is a bit steep for a sticker.

It works and its loud.
Installed 4 AA batteries and installed in my travel trailer. It worked every time I tried sneaking in my RV during my testing. I have it sitting discretely sitting on the kitchen counter. I am not going to permanently install this, I will just store it in a drawer while I am using the trailer. I cant rate on battery life, since I just received this. One thing I did have to do was program the remote before it worked. It was very easy. My hope for this device is that if someone broke into my trailer, that the alarm would sound and scare them off, hopefully leaving my stuff still in the trailer. UPDATE: I have had the detector on for about a month, them I disarmed the device and went camping for three days. When I tried to rearm it, it wouldn't. I replaced the batteries and reprogramed the remote and it is working fine. So if yours is not working, make sure you have good batteries and reprogram the remote. It should work fine. I am still very happy with mine!
