That's pretty subjective. For me, no. For you... I couldn't guess. They do have a substantial feel to them but that is because they are a high quality binocular and as you hold them in your hands and look thru them you will be reminded of that. What I found to be a design flaw is the individual end caps tend to fall off rather than hang attached. A single wrap of tape to thicken the barrel solved the problem.
