007 Legends is very good game
This game is very fun. I love how they put six movies into missions. When I first heard about this game I did not expect much but since I love James Bond games I got it any way. I don't get all the bad reviews about this game. How many games do you get to ski while shooting and go into outer space with no gravity or use dart pens and laser guns. I like this game very much. The things I don't like about this game is stealth because every time you try to be stealthy, it ends up in a firefight. Make sure to get the mission Skyfall or you will have a very abrupt ending. This games worst problem is the awful stealth but all the other great things about this game make up for it. I recommend this game to anybody that likes James bond games or first person shooters and for the people that think graphics is everything you are wrong.

007 Legends
Here are the Pros and Cons for Legends: Pro's: -Great Graphics -Fun,challenging missions. -More realistic cover, no more "press A to get into cover". -Different features on the smart phone. Con's: -Hand to hand combat -Wasted concept on the watch, all it does is show dots were enemies are and shoots a distraction laser. -Enemy sensitivity. They seem to always know where you are. All in all this is a very fun game that will keep you entertained and never fails to engage its player.

Great 1st person shooter
The game overall is pretty decent. Roll around and blast. Shotgun in tight spaces is pretty cool. The part I found a little dull were certain riddles you had to unlock to get thru certain parts of levels, like hacking into computers and cracking safes. All in all, I played it straight thru twice, and for the money it was worth it.

For the serious Bond fan.
When I say James Bond Legends is "for the serious fan" it's just what I mean. This game ultimately caters to any gamer that is old enough to remember seeing Richard Kiel "Jaws" for the first time in the 70's in The spy who loved me and then being blown away that he returned in Moonraker. So being someone that grew up during the evolution of James Bond and video games at the same time I have no choice but to appreciate the opportunity to own and play these old movie scenarios. But for someone that doesn't have a deep appreciation of the 007 phenomenon, I could understand why this game would be considered less than expected. This game is truly for the collector. This would be like buying a game based on Night of the living dead and hating zombie movies...

A Disappoint for FPS Gamers and Fans of the 007 Film Franchise (2 Stars)
As a fan of James Bond in film, in literature and in gaming, I was really excited to get my hands on '007 Legends' for Xbox 360, the game's release tied to the theatrical release of 'Skyfall' and the 50th anniversary of James Bond in film. '007 Legends' developer Eurocom had previously crafted 'GoldenEye 007: Reloaded', an excellent celebration of Bond in gaming and stood firmly as an homage to the Nintendo 64 classic and on it's own two feet as a Bond game that shares DNA with modern first person shooters such as the 'Call of Duty' franchise, also released by Activision. Playing this after playing 'GoldenEye 007: Reloaded', I wondered if my expectations were maybe dialed too high? Having played through the campaign when the game was first released and recently to give it a second opinion, the answer is a firm 'No'. My expectations were dialed just fine. The game is simply.. mediocre. The premise is to celebrate 50 years of Bond by taking one film from the series to represent each actor, like 'Moonraker' for Roger Moore or 'Licence to Kill' for Timothy Dalton, yet update it to fit the current Bond films starring Daniel Craig. Daniel Craig (only his likeness, not his voice) portrays Bond in all 6 campaigns and while It's cool to think of Daniel Craig playing Bond in a Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan film, this is where the problems start to emerge. The opening of the game is the now infamous scene from the opening of 'Skyfall'. Bond is shot off the top of a moving train by a fellow MI6 operative and falls into the river below, where he has flashbacks of his previous missions/adventures while drifting into unconsciousness. You wake up on the floor of an expensive hotel in Miami. A phone rings. You get up to retrieve it and while disoriented follow the phone's ring only to discover a dead woman, painted gold, draped over the bed! It's 'Goldfinger'! You speak with M (voiced by Dame Judi Dench) over the phone and off we go on our first remade adventure. Once you find yourself infiltrating Auric Goldfinger's compound in Switzerland, trusty Walther P99 in hand, it becomes apparent that none of the Bond charm from 'GoldenEye 007: Reloaded' has carried over to '007 Legends'. You move too quickly, the graphics look muddy and simple textures abound, the various guns lack any recoil, and the enemy AI is plain stupid, with henchmen insisting on charging you 90% of the time. The game's objectives, while clear, are confusing if you haven't seen the original film. Fans of the film or book will know why Goldfinger's compound is full of Asian henchmen. Bond virgins will not. James Bond's quick wit and personality are a no show so you're left playing as an uptight, too quiet British man in a game that plays like a 'Call of Duty' knock off. Once you clear the 'Goldfinger' campaign, you realize the game doesn't really tell you a full story or take the time to wrap the various films together in a cohesive manner. I suspected the Quantum organization was pulling strings behind the scenes or something, but no, you're just abruptly dropped into the middle of the next campaign of barely plotted, bizarrely designed maps full of brainless henchmen and awkward spy sleuthing mini-games that while meant to shake things up, only serve to bring things to a screeching halt. There are driving sections that are pretty painful to play and feel more like a chore than an explosive, high speed chase. Seeing Daniel Craig face (sometimes) and hands (most times) and his inconsistent sound-a-like spew puns and use a laser watch and an outrageously powerful smartphone for hacking just feels.. off. Too many elements and characters of the classic Bond franchise were brought into the rebooted universe piecemeal and it all feels so goofy and anachronistic. 'Why is Auric Goldfinger dressed like that?' 'Her name is what!?' As a fan of old Bond, it was jarring to see such a weird mishmash of silly design and uninspired gameplay crash together into such a mess. My younger brother, an avid gamer and Bond virgin, played this and questioned my love for the James Bond franchise. In the game's defense, the laser watch is an Omega Seamaster and the smartphone is an Android powered Sony Xperia so the developers were at the least paying attention to Bond's current tastes in fashion and technology. Another high point is the addition of various actors from the films portraying themselves again such as Rory Kinnear as Tanner, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, and Toby Stephens as Gustav Graves. The game does have moments of fun to be had, and some of the scenes from classic films updated to modern sensibilities can be exciting to play through such as Blofeld's plot from 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' or Hugo Drax's plot from 'Moonraker', but the story lines from the films are for the most part barely there and lack any satisfying conclusion. The whole game for that matter doesn't quite have an ending. Yes, things are wrapped up but it's so unsatisfactory that you feel cheated for giving up those few hours of your life. Online support is non-existent since Activision lost the rights to the 007 franchise and after playing this game, it's for the best. James Bond games should be blockbuster gaming events to look forward to, up there with Grand Theft Auto or 'NBA 2K', not such an obviously rushed embarrassment that backs up the claim that games based on licensed properties are usually not worth the time and money. I can't recommend this game for anyone except the hardcore Bond fan that will recognize and appreciate the little homages and winks to the franchise sprinkled throughout. For everyone else, I would recommend you check of 'Blood Stone 007' or 'GoldenEye 007: Reloaded' for your first or third person James Bond gaming adventure. This game is a disappointment as a fan of James Bond and as a fan of gaming. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for this game. Instead of leaving me shaken or stirred, it left me bored and agitated.

AMAZING
I totally do not understand the logic behind any dislike for this game. It is the best since Goldeneye. It was well worth the 53$ and the several month wait. The campaign may be short, but there is MUCH replay value, as well as online content. Meets all expectations. I hope Skyfall(opening here next week) does, as well.

Double Uh Oh
I went into this game knowing that it wouldn't be the best game that I've every played. It doesn't disappoint. If you're looking for a quick, fun James Bond adventure, this isn't it. The graphics tear frequently, the AI is bad in all of the worst ways and unnecessary stealth elements are littered throughout. The only good part about the game is that the shooting mechanics are decent. The story is all right, consisting of James Bond reliving a few of his missions. Goldfinger, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, License to Kill, Moonraker and Die Another Day make up this trip through memory lane. Each has been updated with a modern coat of paint, such as the implementation of computers and cellphones throughout. To make matters worse, the publisher has lost the rights to the content so I believe that the Skyfall story content isn't available to download any more. While this isn't the worst James Bond game I've ever played, it's up there. I would recommend the great James Bond game, Bloodstone, instead.

Don't bother
This game is a disaster, there are 10 levels, there's barely any incentive to stealth through levels until you get to a random section of a level where the enemies do way more damage than usual, and even then the stealth mechanics are so bad you get caught and killed instantly. This is an action game masquerading as a spy game and fails miserably. If you HAVE to play a 360 era James Bond game play 007 Reloaded, it came out a year prior, is a re-imagining of the N64 game, has stealth mechanics that usually work, and is actually fun. 2/10, played half of the game, though every "movie" has the same 2 levels, one solo COD-like, and one escort mission COD-like.

007
007 James bond is a bad ass super-spy with over 50 years of history filled with some of the most recognizable hero's, villains, lines, and moments. so making a game celebrating these moments is a brilliant idea so how well are these moments moved from film to game? lets find out. first off the premise is amazing and that only makes me wish it was executed better. the game opens with a scene from Skyfall and flashes back to the most impressive moments in bond history. the good news is that the moments are executed well but are not pulled together to feel like one cohesive story. the only issue with the moments is that they feel different because of Daniel Craig replacing all the old bonds and how odd it is to be snooping around with a smart phone but its better then remaking the bond movies. other then that it is a well executed game and fun to fight all of the old villains. game-play wise its nothing great but nothing is broken. its basic FPS fair. some stealth sections are OK but difficult if you don't have a silenced weapon. basic but not broken same goes for the online which feels like a better version of last times Goldeneye reloaded. graphically the game looks OK nothing fantastic but not dull enough to hate. outside looks better then indoor sections. faces and models look fine there is nothing to hate but nothing to love. voice acting is fine and sound is one of the better tech aspects. so in the end there is no major issues with 007 legends its a somewhat above average game that is worth your time if you like the sires. game-play 7/10. graphics 6/10. story 4/10. replay 6/10. non fans 6/10 nothing will catch your attention just a normal shooter. fans 8/10 a lot of awesome moments from some of the best bond films will make you love this game more than others normally would. overall 7
