Takes some getting used to... Not like a normal cube, but it's not bad at all
I'm not a speedcuber or anything. I can solve a cube in 2 minutes and I'm not very advanced but I'm totally fine with that. Anyway, I gifted this particular cube to a family member I wanted to teach how to solve it. I was really surprised how loose it was. There are two settings for tightness, and even the tightest one is extremely loose compared to what I was used to. It actually feels like it's going to fall apart at first. It won't, but it feels like it. I ended up buying him a tighter cube and he enjoyed that. I kept this one around and eventually got used to it and enjoy using it now. It just takes some getting used to. If you know how to hold a cube and do the moves properly, this is great. It is not magnetized. However, while I was searching for ways to tighten this cube on YouTube, I found a tutorial for magnetizing it. I would not recommend the procedure because it took a really long time, but I did it and the results were kind of cool. So you could always do that but I would recommend just buying a magnetized cube if you want one.

I recommend
I bought this for my son and he figured out how to solve it in a day. Then after that no matter how hard I try to mix it up he soft it in a matter of seconds. The colors could be more fun but they're not a bad color palette. Definitely fun for kids and the average size of a Rubik's Cube. It's very smooth. To manipulate this Cube is very easy. To move the cube around with one hand became effortless for my son. It functions great and I recommend this Rubik's Cube.

Great cube to learn how to solve for first time!
I learned how to solve my first cube using the GAN 356. I like that it feels great on my fingertips, but this one is not magnetic. It will not snap and align any edges or corners, but that is ok since I'm a beginner. I was able to learn how to solve the cube in 3 days after practicing. There are other cubes that cost less, but I saw a YouTuber teaching how to solve a cube and she used a GAN, so I decided to buy this one. I like the colors, they are easy on the eyes. As far as speed, the cube turns are not very fluid to the point if you flick it with your index finger, it overshoots. For a beginner, this one is good. I thought it is a bit expensive. It is well made and doesn't have any strange odors. I would recommend this one if you are starting out.

Lightweight and Extremely Easy To Turn. Decent Value for the Money.
This is the lightest and smoothest 3x3x3 cube I've ever used. It's honestly a bit TOO smooth for my liking, which is why I took a star off, but I'm getting used to it quickly and it's pleasant to solve. If you like cubes that feel like there's been a nigh-infinite amount of Vaseline smeared all over its insides (That sounds like something the weird kid at the lunch table would say, but my backspace key is broken. :( Sorry) then this cube is a good pick. It isn't the cheapest one out there, but I do like it more than a Rubik's branded one, so I'd say the price delta between that and this isn't the worst thing in the world.

Super Smooth Mechanics!!
This is my first speed cube. The materials are super smooth and the mechanics are lightening quick. A major upgrade from a regular cube. The colors are molded to the plastic, no stickers. This should last me years!

great cube one of the non magnetic greats
This is great, for a non magnetic. since most cubes are going the magnetic direction, there is a certain feel to them and familiarity. But my first cube was a GAN RSC, which was pretty great. The R ( now RS) is a great cube and its better than the RSC. Too bad they don't sell the original R anymore, the ones made later labelled R are actually RS. Both are great, the RS has a lighter touch and is lighter. The R had more weight and slightly different feel (turns had a bit more momentum), plus the colors aren't as bright. I recall many people getting them to magnetize them. Beginners would be ok with this, but the cube is fast turning and beginners would overshoot on this one. For beginners its better to start out with a magnetic cube. You can youtube if you want to know more. The cube feels good in my hand, and its great right out of the box (for me), others mileage may vary as everyone that's experienced in cubing will set up the cube to their liking (youtube for that also) . I like the GAN series, their cubes are great out of the box, and once set up, are really main worthy cubes. Even this one, I was solving with it for days before going back to the X or my other mains (I have several, one day when I get better, I'll probably narrow the mains down . . .). . The R corner cuts good, doesn't lock, feels smooth, and isn't a click or clacky cube (although I do like clacky loud cubes as my favorite keyboard is a mechanical one and the typewriter sound it makes is aweeesooome!). Pretty good cube, but also commands a GAN / iphone of cubes price. The only caveat is there are other cubes cheaper and magnetic that would challenge this cube. I like strong magnets in my cubes, but I will pick up a non magnetic one and use it as a primary, just for the memories every so often and the R is one of those cool non magnetic cube. Still I like how GAN keeps a non magnetic cube in their current line up all the time. If the price was lower, they would be going like hotcakes.
