Really great tool, exception for the price
I bought it for my son for use in shirinking heat shrinkable tubes he uses for his electronics project and it works very well. It also works well when used to soften plastic parts. The tool heats up quickly is very well made and gets quite hot. We tried it use for soldering SMD parts that did not go as well, you need a nozzle that focuses the heat.

Really not bad at all!
For the price it’s really not bad! It’s great if your dealing with electronics that are enclosed in something that you don’t want to blast with heat. (Like a musical instrument for example) its a bit bigger than I figured (about double actually) and takes longer than standard heat gun to get hot enough to work heat shrink. Make it cordless and smaller and you’ve got a dead ringer here!

Purchased to melt solder and shrink wrap around wires- works great. Compact and very easy to handle.

Useless heat gun
Had this for 3 weeks it dropped off my counter and stopped working. Not made well to with stand a little drop.
