Make sure you format the memory card every month or couple of weeks and it will work forever. The plastic bracket is still the original one and did not dry. I live in Arizona but try to park my car under the shade over the summer and have a carport at home... Great complement to your auto insurance :)

Works well

For the price and features, you probably can't beat this dashcam. Pros: HD (720p), 30fps audio and video during the entire duration of your drive, ability to take pictures or record on the fly, and it comes with an SD card for holding the recordings. Cons: The software that is required for the dashcam is held on the SD card, and you can't watch the videos without installing the software first, even though the videos are encoded in a common video format. The impact sensor built into the dashcam is a little too sensitive, in my opinion. In using the product for a month, I already have 20-25 "incidents" where the dashcam thought I was in an accident due to an uneven road surface. Besides that, it's a great value dashcam.

I like the compactness of the unit, easily fits in the backside of the rear view mirror. easy to install and set up. What we don't like is the Voice Prompts every time we start the car. It is tooooo loud and very annoying, especially when you have to explain it to passengers every time. I contacted Thinkware, there is no way to turn down or turn off. Do not not recommend this model.

This cam could be a ok product, if it didn't stop recording when SD card fills up. Instead of writing in a loop it fills up the card and gets stuck in an infinite error message: "SD card error", "System restarting", "SD card error" etc, which will annoy you unless you plug it out....Useless.
