The Gold Standard for a Crystal-Clear Pool (Don't Waste Your Time on the Cheap Stuff!)
If you are a diligent pool owner who runs chemical checks several times a week, you know how quickly those tiny bottles empty out. Taylor's larger size bottles are an absolute lifesaver. They give you plenty of runway for frequent testing without forcing you to constantly reorder mid-summer. We learned the hard way and tried the bargain-bin replacement refills, only to end up with murky results and endless frustration. With Taylor, the color transitions are incredibly distinct and accurate—no more squinting at a test block trying to guess if your pH is a 7.2 or a 7.8. Yes, you might save a couple of bucks upfront with other brands, but you pay for it in guesswork and imprecision. When it comes to keeping your pool safe, balanced, and sparkling, Taylor is worth every single penny.

Much better than replacing the whole kit
Glad I found this set. These are the chemicals I use the most when testing water chemistry. Perfect solution to refilling my test kit.

Cheaper in long run.
Refills for Taylor high ph test kit. Cheaper than buying in the local store and less per ounce than buying standard 0.75 ounce bottles

Beats the standard chlorine test
These reagents provides a pink scale for Cl (or Br) content, which I've found much better for tracking pool chlorine versus the yellow test kit that most provide. These refill reagents are good value for money, and this is my second purchase of a refill kit for the 0.75 oz bottles that come with the more comprehensive test kit. NOTE: the pH is a more concentrated version of what is sold in the kits for the residential market, so you only need to use 1 drop instead of 5 to test for pH. This means even more value for money! Highly recommend these for any pool owner.

As advertised
I’m am quite happy with this reagent refill pack. No issues and the price was right as they say. The bottles are bigger than what comes with the kit so these don’t fit in the nice case, but that doesn’t matter to me as I knew they were bigger. Taylor makes great products, I will continue to use them. I highly recommend their test kits and refills for pools and hot tubs.

Compatibility Issue With Taylor K-1005
Product works as expected. However, if you’re using the Taylor K-1005 Test Kit, be aware that the pH reagent R-0004 is not compatible with the color comparator included in that kit. For clarity, the “color comparator” is the plastic vial with the color blocks used to read pH and chlorine levels. The K-1005 kit comes with reagent R-0014 for pH testing, which produces a completely different color scale than R-0004. As a result, if you try to use R-0004 with the K-1005 comparator, your pH readings will be significantly off. Lesson learned—hopefully this helps someone avoid the same mistake.
