Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Creme, 13 oz Jar

Really fun topping for hot cocoa and chocolate ice cream. I make my own hot chocolate mix with powdered milk, fake sugar (diabetic), cocoa powder, and cinnamon. (For extra nutrition , I heat milk either in a pan or in a mug in the microwave, then add the mix. Double milk, double protein.) I could never find powdered vanilla extract. These marshmallows are vanilla flavored and scented, so they add just the perfect touch. The best part is they can go straight into the jar with the other dry ingredients for gifting. They expand when they sit, and make the cocoa foamy. Or you can eat them crunchy. 😉 Speaking of crunchy, they stay that way when mixed with ice cream. Yum! What's not to love???!!! BUT BEWARE OF RESELLERS. I've seen resellers charging 10 and 20 times the original value. A few days before Yule a couple years ago, I say them listed at $40!!! Per shaker, not per case. I double checked.

Tiny crunchy marshmallow squares measuring one quarter inch each. Although obviously perfect for topping hot chocolate, they are versatile and are great baked in cookies, pressed into the frosting on cupcakes or cakes or a sundae topping for ice cream. They can add a little crunch to yogurt, fruit salad, pudding or oatmeal. They even work well sprinkled over a bowl of popcorn. The container is well-designed. Since it is clear, it is easy to see when it is time to buy again, and it has a dual-sided lid. Flip one side up and sprinkle the bits out of three large holes, or open the other side and measure out the quantity desired. Three ounces does not sound like much but they weigh nothing so this translates into just over two cups of bits. Granted these bits are total fluff, but two tablespoons have only twenty calories, no fat or sodium so they are a small indulgence and because they are so small a tablespoon of them looks like quite a lot when used to top a dessert. Shelf-stable, the expiration date on the jar I ordered is six and a half months in the future. Modestly priced the little squares are visually festive and they taste good.

There are so many ways to enjoy this wonderful Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Creme. I highly recommend.

Larger than I thought and price was great! The mini marshmallows are gonna be great for our Sundays this summer!

If you like the marshmallows in Lucky Charms but don’t want to bother with the cereal, this is for you! Warning, this stuff is addictive, I have been known to eat it by the spoonful straight out of the container. If you can resist the temptation of the whole jar, it’s great on hot chocolate, chocolate pudding, ice cream, coffee drinks, etc.
