DAP Weatherproof Patching Compound, White, 16 Oz (7079818740)

Nice compromise between oil-based Ready Patch and a spackling compound. Spreads just enough to even out rough surfaces and easy to sand like spackle.

I've gone through several tubs of this while repainting my siding. Highly recommended to cover and level out areas. Easy to work with, dries up well, easy to sand.

This product exceeded my expectations. I was faced with removing the air conditioner in our sun room and replacing the insulated foam board surrounding the AC due to deteriorating. After further inspection it turned out to be surface damage structurally the foam board was sound. I applied the product per instructions printed on the container. After two coats it looks brand new. Worth every penny. I would buy this product again.

This is a great product for patching a variety of materials. Make sure you put the lid on tightly once you open it otherwise the product will dry out and become hard and unusable.

Best stuff ever, dries fast, strong, doesn’t shrink…. and waterproof

This stuff used to be call "Platinum" something or other. Don't know why the change but it works essentially the same. This is great stuff when used per directions. It is just one of the products I use when restoring or repairing wood around the exterior of my house. It dries fast and holds up. BUT WARE A MASK WHEN SANDING. It warns of the consequences of breathing the dust that contains silica. It also lasts pretty well when storing. But pick the right size for the job.

I love this stuff. It goes on easily and dries quickly. I have had success using it as a skim coat to kill the grain on wooden doors and also as a filler for larger holes and cracks. Once it dries, it's hard and water resistant. This is important because after the skim coat is dry, I want to give it a fine sand and use a damp cloth to remove the dust. Some patch compounds are water soluble, which makes the damp cloth a bit of a problem. I have not experienced shrinkage. However, for nail holes and cracks, I wait about five or ten minutes after I apply it and sand it smooth. If I wait too long, it gets much harder and is more difficult to sand.
