Replaced stock filter with this for 2003 sportster 1200. Worth every penny. Cleaned the intake and I can feel there is less hesitation when I accelerate. Anything I want to keep I am going to place K&N.

Simple to fit in less than 10 minutes, I am very pleased with his item. My Harley seems to be breathing easier and maybe a very slight increase in gas mileage. Haven't noticed any difference with the sound, although performance (acceleration) does seem "stronger". Highly recommended, very happy.

What else can you say about the industry standard upgrade for HD Sportster intakes? It performs exactly as advertised, and with very little regular maintenance should outlast your motorcycle. In other words, it is the last air filter you will buy. I did not experience the need to re-jet the carburetor upon replacement, but that is because my ride is the XLH1200S and I am not running drag pipes nor have I pulled the baffles from my CycleShack M-pipes. I would expect you may have to do a little work to get the fuel mix right on other carb'd HD Sportsters. You should note that the 1388 is NOT a replacement for Screamin' Eagle Stage 1 units. Also, you should note that the 1388 is NOT for Sportsters after 2003.

DOES NOT FIT THE 93 HARLEY SPORTSTER 1200.....

Fit my 1995 Harley Sportster 1200. Smaller diameter than the original filter. At first, I questioned the fitment, but it's good. The seal is solid, and the stock cover fits perfectly.

is worth every penny, a noticeable difference in performance, I have an 883 sportster with a 1200cc rebuild Wesco pistons and a rebuilt cv carb with 51 jets and this filter topped it off! Make sure to get the opened air back plate if your running the factory box, but you don't have to, it just lets more cool air in!!

If it is taken care of properly it should last longer than both my motorcycle and me.

Plug and Play und nach meiner Meinung nimmt die Harley etwas besser Gas an und ist bei langsamer Fahrt ruhiger.
